I'm not sure if I'll go back as the employees weren't that great. They weren't friendly at all, and it was a bit disorganized. For food wise, they have a variety of salads. You can get a vegan salad or one with a protein in it. They have ones off the menu, or you can build your own. I just got the one where you take it off the menu called the Earth Bowl. I just ordered from TooGoodToGo from a place called just salad; I've done this once before and got a normal size bowl blown out with SALAD: cauliflower, veggies, toppings, dressing... it wasn't amazing but it was good and it was at least a salad! I just left, the girl gave me rice, salt, tofu, mushroom & the scent of peppers also refusing to put dressing on it.... No salad, no value. First she put a spoonful of rice, then a spoonful of broccoli specks in salt, then a small bit of peppers, tofu, & mushroom to be exact. I'm not a fan. Give it a try and see for yourself but I couldn't eat what I paid for as it was extremely salty and had ingredients I'm not such a fan of. This location is a go-to spot for lunch and while the lines do most fast, I always order ahead and even when I show up a little ahead of time, my salad is ready. The options are delicious and there are a ton of pre-designed bowls to choose from if you don't want to make your own. My favorites are the cesar or the buffalo chicken salad. Usually I'm not a big buffalo fan but this one is not too creamy or tangy - so so good. read more

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE, INCOMPETENT STAFFS. It all started when a cashier charged me an incorrect amount. 5 minutes after paying, I realized she really charged incorrectly. I then spoke to another cashier and explained the situation. She checked what happened, and explained that there was a mistake, but I should still be charged for an extra base. When I asked how much, she gave me an attitude. A simple issue that could be fixed in 5 minutes unfortunately escalated longer.  This staff was getting more and more rude the longer I was there, to the point she called me "bitch"! And when I said, "Excuse me??" she replied, "I'm not talking to you!" Dude, I could've called her many names easily, but I'm not going down to her low level. I just wanted to fix this stupid small issue!! This was very UNACCEPTABLE customer service!!! Just Salad, are you not giving any training to your employees on how to do customer service? Fyi, this incompetent staff' name is Sasha L. Just Salad 3rd Ave = awful experience. Definitely will never recommend this place to anyone!! I ordered the crispy chicken poblano though I substituted the crispy chicken for the oven roasted. It was a quick line, and like similar establishments, it's important to know what you want before you get up to the counter. The salad itself seemed relatively fresh -- felt rather fast foody though with the chicken not having a lot of taste. I also didn't try the dressing as the salad didn't need it. The cheese was grated quite finely, and blended in. I did wonder if the requested tip at the end of paying made its way back to the folks who had prepared the salad for me. read more

I guess I caught the salad maker at a bad time. Beware of disgruntled employees! I just walked out of this location (330 on a Wednesday) no salad in hand. No other guests were in the building and yet I waited a good 10 minutes to be acknowledged by the staff. The person came to make my salad. I asked to replace cheese with mushrooms and was told it was an up charge. Ok, fine. Then I asked to replace the pickles with corn and was told I could only replace 1 item in the salad. I told the salad maker I was here 2 days ago and they did it. She said oh well that's wrong. I said ok well I don't want this salad. The worker continued to say ok and throw the salad she had begun to make away in front of me. Didn't offer solutions didn't ask if I wanted anything else .. just that was it. On the coldest day of 2025 to date, the workers at this location were forced to work in below freezing temperatures. Employees had to layer up 3-4x and wear outerwear indoors to get through the day. The restaurant also does not have a revolving door or other barrier to potentially slow the icy cod from entering the restaurant and affecting all on the premises. I do not plan to return to this location due to the inhospitable conditions afforded to employees (and to a lesser degree, customers). read more

Just Salad is well established and popular for good reasons. They have things down to a formula, & that's a good thing. Came during lunch rush on a Tuesday, and they were very quick and efficient. Ordered the Thai Chicken Crunch with Miso Ginger dressing, and it was well made & tasty. The location itself is well lit with stools and booths, with a wide open front where you can people watch as you eat. There's a great dressing selection, different pre-selected salad options, and you can choose your own ingredients to make your own salad as well. They've Gone Green for a while now so all packaging & utensils are compostable & you can also choose to use their reusable bowls for purchase. Since the pandemic started, most locations I've seen have been CASHLESS, so you will need your card for purchases. I should review those other locations too really. You know what, I'm going to review those other locations too. Watch me review them. It's gonna be a good time, watch. You're going to want to review them too. I come here a few times a month. The salads are good, and you get a lot for the value - usually around $10 for a salad. Depending how hungry I am, I can sometimes split one into two meals. My go to is usually the California salad. In the spring, I love their wasabi caesar. I tried the buffalo caesar once but wasn't too crazy about it. I recently tried the Thai chicken crunch and surprised myself how much I liked it. The spicy Thai peanut dressing was an interesting flavor and different that what I've typically ordered in the past. Their ingredients have always been fresh in my experience, unlike some other salad chains that I've tried. If you buy one of their reusable bowls for $1 and bring it back each time (clean of course), you will get 1 free premium topping (cheese, nuts, avocado) or two free regular toppings. I really wish they had a list of the toppings posted and what category they fall under because it can be hard to remember sometimes. They also have wraps, warm bowls, avocado toast, soups and smoothies but I haven't tried any of those yet. They occasionally do smoothie deals in the afternoons so I plan to try one eventually. One thing I don't like is the chaotic atmosphere. I get that it's popular, and thats great for the business, but I always feel a bit anxious every time I come here. The line can often be out the door, but it moves fast. Whether it be trying to locate my salad maker or checking out, it's never a completely smooth process. Good habits die hard sometimes, and after years of going to to this Just Salad on almost a daily basis I fell out of the habit and had not gone for quite some time. Upon my return recently I was shocked at how much had changed. Physically the entire space had been renovated. Gone were the orange, white and green colors of the past. Now blues and whites dominated the decor with a dash of grey. Not just that, but the counter that once wrapped around the restaurant in an "L" shape, but now the main space is wide open with the counter pushed towards the back of the restaurant. There is seating along the front window and off to the side. I have been going after work (they are open til 10PM) so I have not had to deal with any crazy crowds like you would see at lunch time. Still, a lot of changes have been made to the process of getting a salad. In the past you either ordered a pre-set salad or put together your own. The person behind the counter would then chop it up and add in the dressing etc. Nowadays, all the ingredients are pre-chopped. Also, if you are using one of their reusable bowls (worth it!) they will no longer put the lid on to prevent potential cross contamination. You have to do that yourself. They are very careful not to use their hands to touch anything with hands, using utensils and tongs. Unfortunately, my favorite salad (the Turkey Health Cobb) was eliminated from the menu a while ago. However, I have found others I like including the California. Add on the Smokey Poblano dressing (thank goodness they still have that) and it's amazing. While much has changed my affection for Just Salad remains the same. read more

They have the worst attitude you could ever encounter in the service industry. I ordered 3 Salads all with CHICKEN and they forgot the CHICKEN on ALL of them. When I went back still during my lunch break, they gave me the worst attitude ever, did not apologize for the mistake, and it felt like I was begging them to put the CHICKEN already paid for that they forgot. I did not get ALL THE CHICKEN for my salads and the lady, that I which I've gotten her name although the MAJORITY of the staff have the same attitude, tossed the salad right back at me and did not say anything. More like 3.5 stars. I had never been to one of these salad spots before, since I bring lunch from home 99% of the time. I finally popped into Just Salad, a place where if you have one of the plastic containers from there, you are instantly COOL. Am I impressed? No, it's a SALAD! Was it good, sure. They have countless salad fixin's and lots of dressing options, the employees are fast, efficient, and friendly, and they have a system down which is perfect for the lunchtime rush. The only downfall is the price, but I'm bitter because I can make the same salad at home for half of what I paid here. Side note, spicy buffalo sauce as a dressing is, in fact, SPICY. My nose continues to run a half hour after salad consumption. read more
