I ordered delivery for lunch. The brussel sprouts were tasty. I enjoyed the sweetness of the hot honey glaze. However they were not at all crispy. The mac and cheese was disappointing. Though the breadcrumbs on top offered nice texture and a bit of flavor, the noodles were overcooked and drowning in cheese sauce. I could've eaten it with a spoon, it was so much sauce. My mom enjoyed the chicken platter, especially the habanero mango sauce, which she said had a nice kick. The portion size was decent as well. However the "smashed" potatoes were really just mushy mashed potatoes. Not the best meal, but not the worst. read more

I must say I was caught off guard coming heal. My former colleague wants a late lunch after leaving the office and we came for a quick bite while waiting for the express bus. I was not going to eat but last minute, I saw they had potatoes on the self-service portal and decide to get it, along with Macaroni and cheese. My friend got a bowl. The food came out rather quickly and was excellent. I ate my two items relatively quickly. I would definitely return here as the food and service was top notch! read more

The chicken and the broccoli from the bowl was good, other aspects were lacking. I guess this is a chicken place so makes sense.

Walked in during lunchtime, and I didn't expect the line to be this long. There are two kiosks and two cash registers. They should've had one register open for the customers to make the line move. There's another area where you wait for your order to be done, and they call out your name or number. I wasn't impressed at all by the service. For the food, I ordered the salad, which was on the back of the paper menu. I got the chickpea chicken bowl. It was pretty good. It had mojo thigh (boneless chicken thigh), brown rice, lemon kale, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, roasted peppers, feta, crispy chickpeas, and red pepper Tahini. If you want some spice, get the hot sauce that they give you on the side. The portion size was great, so I recommend it. read more

The 1/2 chicken platter is one of the absolute best deals in midtown that is sure to satisfy big eaters. For $20 you get a real, large, properly cooked half chicken with 3 sides. 3 sides are excessive but you get them. You can add corn bread for $1.45. In comparison, the sandwiches looked sad, but this is a top tier platter for big eaters. You can also do the a la carte chicken for just a few dollars more. Amazing value. read more

The food and service were all amazing. I got a chicken Caesar Salad. The portion was much bigger than expected and the chicken was delicious and fresh. There wasn't an option for a kids meal, but we were able to add 2 extra chicken tenders on the salad on the side for just $4. Also got a side of fries which were amazing. Service was also very kind and helpful. Lastly, the dining area is so cute, clean, and a great place to take a break for food. read more

Passing by Fields Good, I decided to pop in. The bowl/salad descriptions sounded good and I settled on the Bueno Bowl. Now, taste was pretty good, the quality of ingredients seemed reasonable and the bowl was arranged in an orderly manner. BUT the portion size was laughable for an adult male. To finalize, there is no reason to pay $15 for 40% of a Chipotle bowl or something that is not nearly as good as Taim. read more

Like many, I'm trying to eat a little better and lose a few pounds along the way. I've been here before and I thought the food was good, but today I hit the jackpot, IMO. I had the herbed grilled chicken plate with sweet potatoes and charred broccoli, along with the red pepper tahini sauce. It was seriously delicious. Macros were good too: 57 grams of protein, 56 carbs and around 730 calories. The most important thing: it was yummy. The chicken was moist and tender and the rest of the veggies were good as well. I'll definitely be back. read more

Got the kale salad with chicken and it tasted very bland, it looks better than it tastes. The food had this weird smell/taste to it like the veggies weren't washed well. Chicken was dry and flavorless. Just tasted like regular salt. Maybe if I got something else it would have tasted better. Wouldn't come back. read more

FGC seems to have taken a downturn in quality recently. They've significantly decreased the amount of protein per bowl and simultaneously increased the price. The last time I ate there, I noticed a chlorinated taste on the greens and there was some foreign substance (felt like a few pieces of plastic) in the shredded chicken. I used to frequent this place at work, so pretty disappointed to see them fall off my lunch rotation. Redeeming Quality: Great sauce options of high quality Caveat: The best sauce in the world won't make plastic edible read more

Ordered lunch delivery from here through my company's Sharebite meal delivery service. Tried the Good Bowl (chicken thigh, quinoa, kale, sweet potatoes, cheese, cranberries, pumpkin seeds) with a side of the maple chipotle sauce. The bowl was very tasty and filling. I liked the sauce on the chicken. I was bummed though they forgot the piece of cornbread add on I paid extra for. read more

The chicken tenders are dry as a bone. You need more than 2 sauces to make them edible. The French fries were also dry. On the list of worst fries. Avoid. The chicken thigh meat was also dry. How? Was it's sitting out for days? It was served on top of dried out quinoa. The Mac and cheese is like velveeta boxed but with way too many panko bread crumbs which again - made it dry. The smashed potatoes were absolutely inedible. So salty with an unidentifiable horrible non- potato taste. It was like vinegar - like they were spoiled. They were also dark brown. Ick. The chicken thigh bowl came with the sauces in tiny plastic lidded containers that were put on top of the food and I asked the cashier and she says it comes that way. One of my biggest pet peeves is putting a container of sauce that sat on a counter on top of food. So dirty. Little Beet does this also. Just a total waste of money and so disappointing. Avoid at all costs!! How this chain is in business I will never know! Cute place but I took it to go. read more

It was good but just not what I thought. I order the Damn Good Chicken but it was very bland. I understand a healthy choice but I still need some flavor. If there was a little spicy or something to the tomato jam idk. The roll was fresh and tasty and the side salad was also fresh. The place was very clean and the staff was friendly. There are other things on the menu so I will try again but the first impression did not knock me off my feet. read more

It's not every day that I will allow myself the guilty pleasure of a fried chicken sandwich, but when I do, I want it to count. This was an utter waste of a fried chicken sandwich opportunity. The roll was the like styrofoam, the breading on the chicken was flavorless and not crispy, the honey made the whole thing too sweet, and the pickles were irrelevant. All it made me do was crave an ACTUAL chicken sandwich. I was mad. read more

More good news about this place! Contacted Fields good chicken to see if they were interested in helping my hospital out - Lincoln Medical Center is in the South Bronx, and in the times of COVID, we don't really have any options for food for those on night shift. Fields good chicken to the rescue! They sent us heaping amounts of food to the emergency department staff - residents, nurses, transporters, cleaning staff - it fed an army! Not only that, it was amazingly delicious. They gave us veggie options galore (salad, roasted broccoli, quinoa, brown rice, beets) and a bunch of chicken. We were all well fed with the healthy options. We are beyond thankful! Also, shout-out to Renee Epstein, the Fields Good Chicken representative, for coordinating everything for us! read more

For a casual take out spot, you'll be surprised that their chicken is an actual restaurant quality and tastes SO good. Their whole chicken is cooked perfectly and very tasty. After hearing about this being not only great for gluten-free (theres so many options they label what you can't have, rather than what you can!) and the fact this is one of the few places in NY I found which could do grilled chicken, I was really excited to try Fields Good Chicken which is a short walk away from the United Nations and Times Square in NYC. They do have four locations - this is the one right by Grand Central on East 40th. The staff here seemed friendly, they seemed knowledgeable about what I could and couldn't eat and even let me try a few of the sauces to pick the one I liked - so far so good. I went for the 1/4 Breast 2 Sides Elote-Style Corn Steamed Herb Potatoes Tangy BBQ Sauce - as this came to $12.50 + tax, I expected it to be a plate of a 1/4 chicken with the sides, and the fact I didn't order a "bowl" which was also selected however they served the chicken already cooked (rather than what most other people have got on here) and it wasn't even a generous 1/4 portion sadly - the sauce was cold on the side - I really thought this would have been heated up and added onto the chicken, especially as I did ask what sauces they have to go on the chicken. The herbed potatoes side was just okay, they did have some nice flavour from the herbs but the corn mix had a horrible flavour I just didn't like - and again it was stone cold, I'm guessing it was supposed to be like that which is the first time I've been given corn like that. To be fair, the chicken was pretty good even if it didn't come how I'd expected it and even if the sauce was good, and so were the staff which is the only reason for the extra star but for what it is I do find this place to be rather confusing and expensive, while also considering quality issues with another part of my meal, I feel albeit deserved, two-stars is slightly generous. read more

Mid chicken sandwich. POS ordering system. This is the future of American mediocrity.

Fairly priced, delicious food. I ordered the "to-share" herb chicken breast with 2 sides on Uber eats. It is described to serve 3-4 but only comes with 3 cornbread so I'd say serves 3! The chicken was juicy and well seasoned, nice portion. Cornbread is soo good, can't go wrong when it's still delivered warm. I tried the cauliflower with cotija and almonds and the roasted sweet potatoes. Both were delicious. Didn't taste too much cotija on the cauliflower but the sweet potatoes were roasted perfectly. Portions on the sides were on the smaller side, definitely more for 3 people. Overall, a great meal. They do advertise for ordering on their own app which has its own set of rewards that'll I'll have to check out for next time. read more

This restaurant has mastered the science and art of chicken bowls! Popular: Bueno Bowl with grilled mojo chicken, brown rice, black beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, maple chipotle sauce ($10.50). If you like the bowls at Chipotle, this is a much much elevated chicken bowl. You can't beat the flavor composition here. The chicken was on point in texture, flavor, and portion. $10.50 is a steal! The ordering process is interesting. There are 3 separate stations. 1. Grab a menu when you walk in 2. Order at the entryway 3. Pay for your order at the next stop Downside is the amount of people crowding around the pickup station. Otherwise, great lunch spot if you're in a hurry. Because.. it's New York. read more

Good but not great and definitely too pricey for what I am getting. Compared to other chicken rotisserie places I have tried, this place did not hold up great for my standards. I got the quarter chicken with two sides for about 10 bucks and felt that the chicken was tiny and just average. The sides of roasted broccoli and Mexican corn was quite good but again, the portions were just meh for me. I was surprised to see that half a chicken was in the upper teens. It really turned me off unfortunately. On the flip side, my friend got their Bueno bowl which actually looked like a lot more food for slightly less. I haven't completely written this place off and am curious about their bowls but I definitely do not plan on getting the quarter chicken again read more

In search of a wholesome meal for a late lunch I went with a solid recommendation from all my coworkers who raved about Fields Good Chicken near Madison. We were in the mood for hearty and wholesome yet tasty grub and we chose accordingly. FGC is probably the best bang for your buck in the neighborhood considering taste, quality and quantity. We decided on the famous bowls and my taste buds led me to the Bueno Bowl. Equipped with fresh guacamole, Pico de gallo, Brown rice, fresh seasoned barbecue Chipotle glazed chicken breast and black beans. This bowl was packed to capacity with more than lunch but dinner as well. 5 hours later and I'm still full and satisfied. These are meals that leave your intestines satisfied for the remainder of the day. My coworker ordered the Country Barbecue bowl. Granny smith apple Cole slaw, shredded barbecue chicken, black beans and brown rice. Very tasty. The layout of FGC is country style. Oak and white decor. The employees are friendly and aim to please here. I will be back like Arnold Swartzenegger. I can imagine this is a #1 pit stop for lunch breaks. I'd advise visiting after 2 p.m. read more

Came here literally as they opened up for the day. Ordered the quarter chick'n leg and thigh. The chicken wasn't spectacular as it was sorta juicy and not as flavorful as I wanted it to be. My sides included herbed quinoa (tasted like couscous) and brussels and blue salad (wasn't bad). I had high hopes for this place. P.S. They didn't officially upon until around 11:15 am (the sign says 11 am) and the woman behind the counter said they were open the whole time, which I don't buy because they were still prepping and taking down chairs after the posted opening time. read more

When I picked up my meal, I was appalled. The bowl was neither full and it looked like a mess. For over $12, I would expect less of a mess. I would encourage the staff to take more time with the orders. My company orders from this place (in bulk) and I am less inclined to have them order from here any more. This was the bueno bowl and it looks nothing like the picture. See attached photos! Disappointed. I will not order from here anymore and will alert my company not to either. read more

Walking back to my hotel after a long day and wondering how long it would take me to have a sit-down dinner somewhere, I was dreading the process of deciding and, worse, waiting because I really just wanted something quick to take back to my room. I knew I should have something healthy, but needed some fast, comfort food stat! The Bueno Bowl menu item caught my eye -- and it did NOT disappoint! Oh my, the grilled herb chicken breast in my dish was super high-quality and delicious -- and all the options/topping made the dish hearty and really flavorful. Even when I was full (the serving was more than plenty), it was so good, I didn't want to stop eating. Midtown East, on Lex (I think), somewhere between 51st and 48th. read more

Solid spot to grab lunch in Midtown East. I work down the street from this location, which has served me well considering my undying love for all things chicken. Lines can get long during peak hours for weekday lunch, which is common for most places in this area. Fret not, they do offer online ordering if you are in a rush. The location is clean and contains ample seating. I enjoy the food. Fields Good Chicken serves up herb grilled, grilled mojo, and pulled BBQ chicken in a variety of forms, including whole roasted, boneless, salads, and bowls. There are plenty of gluten free options so for those with such allergies keep that in mind. They also have a selection of sides and sauces to complement your meal. Normally, I order my chicken in a bowl. My favorites include the Bueno Bowl (mojo chicken, brown rice, black beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, and maple chipotle sauce) and Zeus (mojo chicken, brown rice, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickled onions, and tzatziki). I recommend checking this out for a casual lunch if you are working, living, or visiting nearby and enjoy chicken. I have plenty of more trips to this spot in my near future. read more

I would say this is good food at midtown prices $12-$14. I was being kind of lazy and wanted something close to the office since I was getting hungry, eg, downstairs :) had the country chicken bowl which is bbq roasted dark meat chicken (thigh meat), apple slaw, black beans, brown rice and cheddar. very tasty chicken and actually liked the apple slaw. however, way too much black beans (about a quarter of the bowl). even more beans than chipotles! think that should be de emphasized as it makes you bloated. overall, I say this bowl is worth $10 tops so there is a price premium in my view for all the items. will try the other items as well. read more
