They had a menu of curated salads and bowls but you also had the ability to create your own. Everything looked and smelled very fresh and the restaurant itself looked bright, fun and eclectic. The service was very friendly and we were assisted and guided promptly. There were so many interesting sounding menu items so it was a struggle in deciding what to order! I ended up opting for the burrito chipotle bowl as the sound of jackfruit and guacamole together just sounded amazing! The food was prepared quickly and we were able to find a table as there were ample ones available. The seating was comfortable and we indulged in our food. I loved how well seasoned everything was in my dish and the spiced beans, rice, jackfruit and guacamole all melded together quite nicely. I left feeling uplifted and my family also thoroughly enjoyed their meals, with my cousin raving about the superb texture of her falafel. We got some cookies to go and those ended up being nice and soft and indulgent and not overly sweet. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a restaurant that is healthy and conveniently located to many great NYC sites! I love how there's something for everyone too!

A Hidden Gem That Completely Changed My Perspective on Vegan Food…read more Yesterday was my first visit to Le Botaniste, and I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. The storefront and fresh drinks first caught my attention, so I thought it was mostly a juice or beverage spot. The moment I walked inside, I realized it was so much more. The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere, and everything looked incredibly fresh. You can immediately tell they take pride in the quality of their food. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional customer service from Alan. He welcomed us with a smile, took the time to explain the menu, answered all of our questions, and gave us recommendations based on what we were looking for. His knowledge and enthusiasm made choosing our meals easy. Alan recommended their most popular bowl, the Pasta Bolognese, and mentioned it was also his personal favorite. After just one bite, I understood why. It was rich, hearty, full of flavor, and if no one had told me it was vegan, I never would have guessed. It has officially become one of my favorite plant-based meals. For my mother, Alan recommended the seasonal Mediterranean Bowl, and it was another excellent choice. I asked her if she enjoyed it, and her response was simple: "Yes... and I want more." That pretty much says it all. The drinks were also fresh, refreshing, and paired perfectly with our meals. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with anything on their drink menu. Even if you're not vegan, don't let that stop you from trying this place. Le Botaniste proves that plant-based food can be comforting, satisfying, and packed with incredible flavor. A huge thank you to Alan for making our first visit such a memorable one. Great food is important, but great hospitality makes people want to come back. Needless to say, I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu.

Everything on the menu looked comforting and delicious while still being plant-based and health-conscious. Even though the line was busy, the staff was genuinely friendly. I arrived at an off-hour, between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m., so it was fairly empty. The space was immaculate, with clean, crisp colors and plenty of open seating. I ordered the Buffalo maitake sandwich to go. It came with breaded maitake mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and house blue cheese dressing on a pretzel bun. It was neatly wrapped in aluminum foil and traveled well back to my hotel. There was plenty of sauce to complement the Buffalo-style mushrooms, and while the breading had a nice texture, I would have preferred it a little crispier. Overall, it was a tasty and filling sandwich. I expected the pretzel bun to be larger, but the smaller size worked well. I enjoyed the meal and would definitely return to dine-in on a future trip to NYC!
