The food was great! I got a BBQ bacon burger, fries, and a drink. All of which tasted delicious. My fries were piping hot and my burger hit the spot, I loved the bread on the burger. I would definitely recommend d coming to this spot. It's a nice walk down Provo Center Street and University avenue. My wife and I parked over on center street walked around and eventually ended up at Chom. There is closer parking but we did that for fun. The design is cool and the lighting is good. I love all the movie quotes they put on the wall. Service was good. A favorite Provo burger place for sure. I think because of the overall experience I get walking to the restaurant and getting some good food in a fun ambiance I gave it a 5. Their shakes are awesome too. read more

I recommend any of their burgers which involve brioche/pretzel bun options and come dressed with a unique aioli sauce. I enjoyed the pastrami burger. It was different than a standard burger and had really good flavor. I had to 86 the pickles and mushrooms because I'm not living life that close to the edge. The burger itself was good. There was some other funny stuff that I experienced though. I ordered fries. They were decent. They were thinner McDonald's style fries but they added some spice - chili powder maybe. The funny part was they were out of pump ketchup and they had ketchup packets available. They were French's ketchup packets, so I think they would have been better off just saying they were out of ketchup. The other wild thing was they had both a Coke and Pepsi machine - which for me is bonkers. I'm thrilled to see the Coke machine, but shocked to see a Pepsi machine next to it. It's like when Lyle Lovett married Julia Roberts. Those two shouldn't be beside each other - much like the Coke (Julia) and Pepsi (Lyle) machines. The food quality, service, price and atmosphere are all going to meet or exceed expectations. 4 stars - This is for a place that is good, I would drive a little out of the way to go, and the food and service is good, but maybe not amazing. Also for me, this could also be a great place that serves Pepsi products - automatic 1 star loss - bad management decision. 3 stars - This is for a place that I view as standard. Nothing special, nothing lousy, not a place you'd avoid like the plague, but a place that is not one you really look forward to either. 2 stars - This is for a place that had something go wrong or something perpetually wrong. I ultimately settled on the Garlic Burger with an order of fries. So this is where it gets a little embarrassing! Once in CHOM Burger, everything looked and smelled so good that I dug into my Garlic burger before I could even take a good picture! So here is a picture of half a garlic burger. This entree was a great size, I think it was a 1/3 lb patty that was very tasty. I loved the flavor, the garlic aioli was enough to add a great taste punch, but not to the point where it was overwhelming. The egg was cooked to perfection, and the shoestring potatoes added a little crunch in each bite that I really enjoyed. I put this place in the same caliber as The Dog Haus in Sandy and Chedda Burger in SLC (but cleaner than Chedda Burger). I just tried this place for the first time. It was pretty good. They are more gourmet burgers and not fast food burgers. The buns are interesting. I ordered the garlic burger which was very good. I ordered my burger in a combo and the fries were huge. Definitely big enough to share. I'd love to come back and try a chicken sandwich and a shake. I do think the parking lot is small, they share their parking lot with a few other businesses. There was a guy standing by the Back Door Burger restaurant. We had parked and he told us we couldn't park there because we would get towed. He said our spot was for Back Door Burger. Chom is a great little burger joint. I've been a fan since they opened although I'll admit until now I hadn't been in a while. I've definitely been missing out, everything we ordered was great. I had the green chile avocado burger which I highly recommend. Great flavors. I love the fresh buns, that's probably one of the most underrated aspects of a great burger and Chom's buns are delicious. Keep in mind - the Chom burger doesn't come with cheese and my buddy was sad when it didn't (it was his own fault for not adding it on, though). I was pleasantly surprised to see that they can distinguish themselves. I ordered my burger wrapped in lettuce. The first distinguishing aspect was that they use dark green, leafy lettuce. However, I felt like I missed part of the experience by not getting the buns. They were delicious--I stole a bite from my daughter. The burger patty was slightly pink in the middle and very juicy. The fries were crispy and delicious. Going back to my burger: I ordered the pastrami burger. They used quality pastrami and they put a good amount with the burger. The only problem I had with it was the Chom sauce.l, but that was just personal preference. The sauce was good but I didn't like it in the burger. Next time I'll just ask them to hold the sauce. It's a 1/3 pound burger with lots of onion straws, slice of cheddar cheese, a sweet tangy bbq sauce and crispy bacon all on a toasted bun. It was nice little crunch too the bun before biting into the burger. The bacon was nice and crispy and the burger was very juicy. Grab a stack of napkins for this one. The burger juice and bbq sauce make it messy. Fries were nothing spectacular except they were hot (which those chain restaurants don't give you) and that is always nice. So them in the fry sauce and that does take them up a notch. To finish off things i got the pb and chocolate shake and it was spectacular. Huge pb flavors that almost over power your taste bus before the chocolate smacks them back. Definitely worth the time and money! read more

My wife and I have eaten here twice. The first time was last month and we would've rated it five stars; the food was excellent, and so was the service. The new management this month decided to produce the portion sizes and restrict how much sauce you're allowed to have to reduce food cost. The best part about CHOM Burger are they're buns. It's unique to CHOM. Idk what type of bread it is but it's completely different from any burger joint. It's very soft yet outside is has a soft crunch. I ordered the bbq bacon cheese burger, it qas very light on the bbq which I slwas sad about. But nothing a lil fry sauce couldn't fix.
