Listen up, this might be one of the best Chipotle locations in Bergen County. It's located off of Rt 4 West in a plaza with a large parking lot. Two things make this location stand out from the rest... the service and the quality of the food. The employees here are much friendlier and warmer. They greet you with a smile and overall have good energy. Love to see that! That's probably why the food tastes better... they prepare it with love LOL My go-to order is the burrito bowl with brown rice, black beans, chicken, fajita veggies, salsa, corn, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, and guac. My heart weeps at the memories of paying $5.50 for a bowl back in the day... but I love satisfying my fix of fast-casual Mexican food, so I'm not going to stop coming here!!! They don't skimp on the portions and you'll leave with a packed bowl with fresh ingredients. The flavor profiles are so much stronger... I couldn't get over how good their chicken, guac, and rice tasted. I just wish the sodium content was lower because I tend to feel bloated after eating here... welp, you can't have it all. This location is also much cleaner with an organized pick-up area. Plenty of table and stool seating. The drink and condiments station is usually well stocked and maintained. The food was good, but the service was extremely disorganized. I had no issue waiting for the vegetables to be ready, but once they came out, the staff served several customers who had arrived after me before returning to finish my order. Those customers had large orders and were also waiting on items, so I ended up standing there for roughly 15 minutes while another employee appeared to be doing nothing. After waiting around 25 minutes in total, I was told the register was out of cash and had to pay by credit card. The food itself was enjoyable, but the poor coordination, lack of communication, and overall management made the experience unnecessarily frustrating. read more

This is the OG Chipotle store in Paramus that opened sometime back in 2012. I used to go there multiple times a week since it was only few minutes from my college, FDU. This is one of the unique Chipotle that has a separate standing table section with open doors. Over the years the store was starting to look old, but then it went thru renovation. This was my first visit to this store in ages, this time with my daughter. The store looked really nice and clean, with its industrial theme interior. This store also has the take out order station separated from the main station, with a nice small window for customers to pick ip their orders. We got a kids combo and a honey chicken bowl. The servers were quick and efficient. Got salad dressing without any fuss or extra charge. The honey chicken bowl was amazing, all ingredients were so fresh. As I was eating I was trying to remember when was the last time I had such delicious Chipotle bowl. I decided I might as well come to this store for my weekly Chipotle meal instead of going to the Closter one, which is a wildcard every time. read more

LOVE THIS CHIPOTLE!!! I come here every Monday and Saturday after my tennis practice, and the people are very nice and friendly! Especially the ladies in the front for example Mrs.Sonia or Mrs. Carina! The ambience of the place is very nice and different from most chipotles I've been to it's always so welcoming and homely. Amazing! Got a nice keto steak bowl with extra steak and got the guacamole and queso cheese on the side because I didn't think I'd be able to finish it in one sitting. But it was so good I just kept going Would've been a 5 review BUT... Also tried the cilantro lime cauliflower rice that they just came out with. I guess it was so-so for me. The lime flavor to me was a little overpowering and I really couldn't get any hint of the cilantro. Pros - I don't have to make a choice about anything. They will put half white rice and half brown rice; half black beans and half pinto beans; half spicy and half medium salsa. I love that. You place your order online and pay online after picking when you'd like your food to be ready. At the time you selected, you can go in through the side door and find a table with your first initial. Your bag is ready to go. No need to interact with anyone. The few times I've gone, there have been other guests picking up their food, we waited for each other to be done prior to going in. I appreciate that they use paper and aluminum foil rather than plastic and styrofoam materials. they're able to create so many options for your meal with their basic ingredients. I almost always get a bowl while my wife gets tacos. You can chose chicken, or beef, steak or you can get delicious tofu if you are vegan. It's time for a head-to-head review comparing shredded beef burritos: Chipotle versus Qdoba! I generally do not eat at Chipotle, in fact this was only my second time at their location. I am thoroughly satisfied with my burrito from Qdoba so typically I see no reason to venture outside of my perfected selection there. This time I had already been on lunch on a work day for quite some time and Chipotle was right on Route 17 on the way back to the office so I decided to give it a second shot. Upon walking in immediately noticed that this place was immensely more popular than my treasured Qdoba location. There was a very long customer line and at least triple the amount of workers working the food assembly line and clamoring about. Clearly Chipotle has either done some excellent marketing or has a cult following for something else on the menu other than the burrito i am about to review. I tried to observe what people were ordering in search of a trend and came up with nothin so I ordered a burrito configured exactly the same as how i would order at Qdoba. The Results: When comparing shredded beef burrito vs. shredded beef burrito Qdoba destroys this place. At Chipotle my shredded beef burrito was overly salty (the beef) with notably less of every ingredient in the burrito making for a final product approximately 30% smaller than the comparable Qdoba offering. Qdoba shredded beef has excellent flavor in comparison to the what Chipotle calls the same. Also, they offer Tabasco sauce as a hot sauce at the condiments table while Qdoba offers a tried-and-true favorite, Cholula. This alone screams fail for Chipotle. Chipotle is an industrialized assembly line that creates decent food that seems to have created a cult following. I won't be back unless time and time and location dictates it. TLDNR: For a proper, flavorful, non-over-salted, stomach busting Shredded Beef Burrito Head to Qdoba. read more

Worst-est-est chipotle place ever. The one star is for the food. It's standard, no complaints. (Also I can't go below that one star) I am all FOR chipotle but NOT THIS LOCATION at any cost!! I waited in the line for 32 mins (I called my mum up, when I got off the car and hung up when I was next in line, so I know for sure). I don't remember waiting in line this long for food. I not complaining that there are too many people, my issue is with the staff who work super slow. Staff - oh god. I hate so many things in this section. 1. Super duper bumper slow service. They are just learning their job with your food. 2. They Wrap and re-wrap and re-re-wrap the burritos. No idea what they are doing 3. Super stingy with the quantities. 4. Tables aren't cleaned. That forced me to take the food home even though I decided to eat in 5. They gave me 1/4 scoop of chicken, 12 black beans and 10 red beans (to be precise) and rolled eyes at me when I asked for more. 6. They had no forks. (Shoot me now, please) 7. Staff is impolite, immature and amateurs at the task. They have no courtesy and lack words like "sorry" "excuse me" "please" "hello" "thank you" in their dictionary. So yesterday my boyfriend was having a craving for chipotle we decided to go to our local chipotle location on rt 4. I wasn't in the mood for my usual barbacoa bowl so I decided to switch it up and get tacos instead. I only ordered two one steak one chicken one soft one hard. I found that the flavor of the steak was well seasoned and was cooked perfectly which I was surprised. The last time I tried the steak I hated it found it very dry and lacking flavor. The chicken was not to my liking just because well it just wasn't. On my next trip to chipotle I am going to try out the steak tacos but since I order online I'm going to ask for hard tacos on the side to keep the crispy exterior and just slip the soft ones into the hard shell. The manager from this location was extremely rude, lacking social and common decency. We, my 69 year old mother and my two toddler ages 2 and 1.5, were asked to stand at a certain area to make our order online, so we did as we were told. In the process of making the order online, my elderly mother was left to watch and control the toddlers for a few minutes and my oldest who was also a very excited and hungry little boy passed the chairs indicating the designated spot where we are to make orders. This was made to be an extreme breach of rule by the manager who was (including all employees) more than 13 feet away from the area. I became highly upset by the over reaction of the manager and after I expressed this she then went on to castigate my elderly mother who once again was not just elderly but was left to control the two babies and who absolutely tired, for sitting on one of the seats that were blocking the designated area. Again no one was at this area and we were nowhere near any of the employees or manager herself. This was outrageous, unethical and senseless behavior that I once again made very clear of my disapproval of. I asked her time and time again to please understand the situation as she observes who her customers are and consist of and let us finish making our order so we can ultimately leave the premises. The only reason we were still there is because my toddlers were very hungry and so was my mother who hadn't had anything but coffee to until this particular time. After all this back and forth about the seat and the children, and after the manager even made a comment saying that she could decide not to serve us of which I asked her how well will she sleep at night knowing she refused to serve two babies and an elderly woman food due to her unethical and inability to discern when it's ok to let someone take a seat, the manager at last decided to open up an area that she said we could wait inside of. There were high stools inside and my mother couldn't reach the stools. My mother stood by the stools holding my daughter on the seat so she won't fall and soon I finished making my order, I went out the door where they had about 8 empty regular chairs blocking the designated area and brought one into the room so my mother could sit and rest while we wait another 15 minutes for our food according to the time we were given online. The manager rushed over to the room in a huff to once again castigate us for taking one of the empty chairs for my mother to use. Again the establishment was empty, with only someone coming in ever so often to pick up their order. I explained that my mother could not reach the stools and to please just leave us alone. I was angry, tired, overwhelmed and completely flabbergasted at the audacity of this young woman! To have and make an issue of such a thing is beyond what my mind can even wrap itself around. All this back and forth in the midst of two children running in circles and my trying to keep them in our designated area. She even said she could even call the police and I responded by saying that I'd love to see her explain this to an officer of law and see if he would agree to have my elderly mother stand from an empty chair in an empty establishment within a designated area. Everyone wearing their masks and at a very long social distance from one another. She also asked if I wanted to speak to her regional manager of which I said I absolutely did but after going off as if she were making a phone call, came back to say I would have to go online to do so. I'm going to make calls today to see if I could in fact get in touch with her regional manager because the way we were treated, a group of children and an elderly woman, was completely unacceptable and MUST be brought to the attention of everyone!!! On top of all this trouble, the chips we ordered were so salty they weren't even edible, makes me wonder if this was done on purpose?! This is the only Chipotle in the area that I can think of, so it's usually pretty busy. The line moves very quickly though. The shop is clean and looks much like other locations. The burritos are awesome, and the chips are overly salty. Chipotle is probably my favorite Mexican fast food for just a burrito, but it can only tie with every other fast food place because the other places beat em on two things: queso (processed melted cheese sauce) and price. It doesn't have queso like Qdoba. If you look up why Chipotle doesn't have queso, it's got some pretty good reasoning, but I don't give a crap, I want queso. Unlike Taco Bell, Chipotle is pretty expensive. All the extras (guacamole) that make a burrito delicious add up. Might as well go to an actual Mexican restaurant. read more

This location has been my goto for the last two years since I started working in the area. I am a big fan of chipotle, and I have never had an issue, consistent good quality food. It is strange since the whole thing happened with chipotle, this place died down like crazy. You used to have to wait like 30-40 deep for 10-15 minutes during normal lunch rush, but you get to the start of the line pretty damn quick now. I think the food is still great but the vibe kind of sucks in there now given recent events. I still think for the money you get awesome bowls, tacos, and guacamole. Did I mention I love their hard tacos? I have always experience fast, friendly service here, good food, and they have a section that opens up to be outside during the summer. Recently had them cater for a party. The process of getting it rolling is easy. A little on the pricy side $310 for 3 meat options and all the fixings for 20 people. Food tasted better than usual! I would recommend doing this at least once! Now the restaurant is still the same cramped nightmare it's always been. I would really like to see them buy the space behind them and expand. The traffic demands it! Use online ordering in this location, the wait here can be impossibly long sometimes. Did an online order several weeks back on a Friday around 5pm, and the line was till the back door. Got my food as soon as I walked up to the counter. Dude on the back of the line was like "¿¿WHAT??" Little did I know that this is the unofficial site of Chipotle vs. Food. I'm pretty sure that if you were to weigh their Chicken Fajita Burrito, with of course cheese, guac, crema, lettuce, hot salsa, meat, beans, rice, one would find it whopping pound. Now if you ever choose to order this burrito, immediately cut it in half and put the other half somewhere safe or with someone you trust, preferably a chaperon. I did not follow this. I proceeded to drown the burrito in Chula and eat the whole thing. I was told that the upside of this would be a lovely case of the runs. I went out of my way to go to this Chipotle tonight in a nasty rainstorm, only to notice that the metal tray of chicken was down to the bottom, with chicken that was obviously not new, and had had water added to it! Why not just throw it out and replace it with fresh product? But when it was my turn to order and I asked the attendant if they would please bring out a tray of fresh chicken, she looked at me in disgust, ignored me, and took the order of the guy behind me! I was treated with total disrespect, as if I didn't exist! Despite people still coming in (it was only around 7:15pm), there was no desire by the manager to freshen the product--which tastes horrid, and is hard to chew when it dries out! Chipotle may be a hot brand, but there is zero quality control from location to location, and a belief they can do whatever they want because customers will flock in. I'm a Chipotle addict. I eat Chipotle literally 2-4 times per week on average. I typically give Chipotle locations 4 to 5 stars on a review, but this location absolutely sucks. The staff are not very friendly, and the location is not very clean. The portions are skimpy, especially the guac, and the food quality is not up to snuff. My side of salsa was actually rotten, this is from a brand that usually has fantastic food quality. Finally, at the register was a tip jar, WTF? You are already ripping me off by charging $2.00 for guac when it was $1.00 two years ago, and now I'm supposed to tip people? I've never seen a tip jar in a Chipotle. Honestly the worst Chipotle I have ever been to in my life. It's very small (which really isn't a problem), but it does become a problem when you never clean any of the tables. I have been to this location many times at different times. Whether they are busy or very slow this location id always dirty. They don't seem to care about cleaning tables ever and the bathroom is a mess as well. Most of the food is alright; however the guacamole and chips at this location are a waste of your money. Other Chipotle's have a heat lamp and bag your chips as you order and keep making fresh chip's. This place has everything prebagged from god knows how long ago. They are cold and stale and just not worth the extra money. The customer service is really bad as well. When you ask them to clean tables so you can have a place to sit I have had people roll their eyes at me like keep the place clean isn't apart of their job. This last time I had gone I was asked to wait while they cleaned. Which normally would have been fine if they hadn't made me wait 5 mins to get someone to go clean. At which point when I finally did sit down my food had started to already get cold. Chipotle is an amazing restaurant at every other location I have been to but, this one just seems like they don't care about anything except making as much money as they can. I have tried to be patient with this location since the day they had opened but, now i give up. After being open for so long and not being able to do basic things like keep the area clean, good customer service, and serve warm fresh food is just a disgrace to the brand itself.
