We had a catered lunch from there. It was tastey, fresh, and the portions seemed generous for all.

Stop by the store on a weekday to get lunch. It was pretty nice inside, lots of seating space available. They had all the ingredients available. There was no line, so I got to order right away. The associate was quick to serve and do the checkout. They do not charge extra for guacamole, so the price is slightly cheaper. I ordered my usual bowl with cheese, lettuce, corn, pickled onion, chicken, and guacamole. The ingredients tasted okay to me, sort of generic. Pickled onions were really big chunks, would have been nice if they were thinner and smaller.

Guac and queso at no charge?! Say whaaaaat. This is actually my very first time trying Qdoba. I've always gone to Chipotle BUT my loyalty is now being tested... This location is located off of Route 17 South. The menu is customizable and you basically build your own bowl, burrito, salad, tacos, or quesadilla. I chose the grilled steak bowl (~$13). My bowl included.. Base: Cilantro lime rice Protein: Grilled Steak Queso: 3-cheese dip Toppings: Mild salsa, fajita veggies, black beans, pickled red onions, guacamole, street corn, tortilla strips, sour cream, cortija cheese For the value, the meal was worth it. They don't skimp on portions. The ingredients were hot and fresh! The grilled steak was well seasoned and tender. I appreciated that they were cut into big chunks. Compared to Chipotle, they already have bonus points for not charging for guac and queso. They also have a lot more options for meat and toppings.

We ordered the surf and turf here, and it was very flavorful ! The shrimp and steak were both tender and delicious. The menu offers a great variety of options, and everything tasted fresh. There's plenty of indoor seating and parking outside.

First time visiting and it definitely won't be my last! This restaurant has been around for about…read moresix years, and I'll admit I had previously dismissed it because it's located in an outer strip of stores where Harmon and Bed Bath & Beyond once were. I truly wish I hadn't--because I was thoroughly impressed with the food, the décor, the service, and the extensive menu. There are so many dishes I want to come back and try. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant impressed us with its vibrant, themed décor and incredibly friendly staff who made us feel right at home. Warm tortilla chips with chunky salsa and glasses of water were brought to our table immediately after we sat down, which was a great start. They have a full-service bar, and while they don't offer frozen cocktails, we honestly didn't miss them. I had a coconut margarita, and my husband enjoyed a passionfruit rum cocktail. He doesn't drink tequila, so I asked if rum could be substituted, and they were more than happy to accommodate. He chose a Tajín rim, while I opted for sugar instead of salt. Both drinks were strong, flavorful, and served in really nice, heavy margarita glasses. We both chose specials from the House Special Grill, and wow--what a great decision. My husband had the skirt steak and jumbo shrimp, served with a creamy corn salsa, and he loved every bite. I ordered the grilled steak with sautéed onions, homemade tortillas, cactus pad (nopales), rice, and beans. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and perfectly prepared. We ended the night on a high note with dessert--one of the best flans I've ever had--paired with a glass of hot Mexican coffee. Absolutely delicious. Amazing food, great drinks, welcoming service, and a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend!

The food is top quality and service is excellent. the restaurant is also quite well decorated for such a miniscule place. The only caveat keeping this review from being five stars is the price. Mexican fare is known for being hearty, large portioned and affordable and having now patronized this establishment twice, I can say it is two of the three. The lofty price tag will unfortunately keep me from becoming a regular. Still, it is a nice treat once in a blue moon. Good show, overall. Fare: 5/5 Price: $$$

I will copy and paste this review across the Park Ridge and Mahwah locations so emphasize my appreciate for their consistency in providing great Mexican food. If you are consistently performing, Linguini will take care of you. Like I've taken care of many others. I will bring you to the top with me. If you backstab me. Oh if you come for me at the top, you will reach an abyss so deep you may end up digging to China. Don't test me. I'm not that guy. Anyways, I've tried a lot from Azteca. Most of what they've got is a 4/4.5 out of 5 but I'm rounding up for the full experience. Phenomenal price point. Variety of food that all comes out well. Performs well in restaurant and when the food travels. Friendly staff. And local business of which I support. I suffer from GGS - Good Guy Syndrome, sorry not sorry. My motha, bless her soul. I legit mean bless her soul. Be nice. Pray. Bow down to her. She doesn't eat much food but she even loved the taco salad here so much that she asked to go again. So much protein, so well seasoned. Just as their other options showcase as well. My personal favs are the Kash Burrito and the, what I'd call "trademark" Cod Burrito. Never have seen it elsewhere like this. The wrap is toasted wonderfully, great rice, great salsa. I mean this place just does it real well. I've had tacos, appetizers, desserts. Never let down. El Azteca is consistently good. Constantly pushing out quality product. Is it the best Mexican I've had? No. But it's the most underrated. Being a consistent 4, makes you a five in my books. It's like that girl that's occasionally a 6 or occasionally an 9... you can't bring her home. But that girl that's consistently a 7 or an 8? You let her meet the fam. I don't where I'm going with this one. All I'll say is STOP. Stop going to Chipotle, Bubbakoo's, etc. when you could be supporting a better quality and friendlier priced location in El Azteca. Thank you in advance. I will be watching - LB.

The menu may be the same, but the food is not. Every dish we ordered lacked the quality and consistency that made this restaurant stand out. The flavors were flat, the seasoning was inconsistent, several dishes arrived lukewarm, and the presentation looked rushed. Nothing had the attention to detail or care that I remembered. It genuinely feels like the kitchen is being run differently. While the menu hasn't changed, the execution certainly has. The recipes may be the same on paper, but the food tastes completely different. The balance of flavors, the quality of the ingredients, and the consistency that once made this place special just aren't there anymore. You can tell the person leading the kitchen is no longer the same because the food no longer reflects the standards this restaurant used to be known for. For the prices they're charging, I expected so much better. Instead, I left disappointed and wondering what happened to a restaurant I used to recommend to everyone. Unfortunately, this visit convinced me not to come back. I sincerely hope they can get back to the level of quality they once had, but until then, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Authentic Mexican food is more than tacos and salsa. The Garden State is hailed as one of the most diverse states when it comes to food, hosting some of the best Mexican restaurants on the East Coast. Whether one desires a quick taco or a full-course meal, my friends and I were craving rich and bold tastes from Mexico and decided on this family-owned establishment for an early Cinco de Mayo dinner. The reservation was easily made by calling Mariachi Grill, located on Ridge Road in Lyndhurst. Upon arrival at this popular spot to locals, with its cozy and casual interior decked out in traditional Mexican vibes, we were greeted by the staff and immediately got a table by the entrance, but they also have outdoor dining, weather permitting. The menu selection is much smaller than at other restaurants. We decided on the Cheese Enchiladas, Beef Enchiladas, California Burrito, Beef Burrito, Chicken Fries with Fries, and Shrimp Fajitas. Some meals are accompanied with a small portion of rice and black beans. Complimentary house chips and salsa started our meal. As the restaurant is working on their liquor license, it's BYOB. One can bring your own tequila or wine, and the staff will mix it with their sangria or margarita mixes. We washed our meal down with a pitcher of sangria. The presentation was very good. The food was made incredibly fresh, well seasoned, deliciously tasty, and generous. The price was very reasonable for the area. Our server Lisa with her outgoing personality and her desire to make our visit enjoyable, which we didn't feel rushed. Good experience overall, which we can recommend.
