This kitchen is putting out big flavor, zero nonsense. Everything tastes intentional, dialed in, and made by people who clearly care way too much, in the best way. As for cleanliness: it's solid. Not fancy, not sterile, just well kept and comfortable, exactly what you want from a neighborhood spot that's focused on great food, not white gloves. Service is quick, friendly, and efficient. No over the top spiel, just good people getting you good food without the wait. This is the kind of place you keep in your regular rotation and confidently recommend to anyone visiting. So the thing that makes Grumpy's stand-out and different from the competition? Boy oh boy, that crust. It is sourdough, it is crisp, it is light, it is so complimentary to anything that goes on it. On to the wings; I ordered the Parmesan Peppercorn Bone-In Wings, simply because it's a flavor I don't see too regularly on the menus. I loveeeee chicken cutlet sandwiches in general. I had the American chicken which was good. Fast forward 6 years later I was craving a chicken cutlet sandwich and couldn't find anything closeby. I remembered Ted's and realized that it is now only 10 minutes from me so I tried again. It was mother's day and I ordered ahead. I was grateful that my food was ready upon arrival and it wasn't hectic. I've been struggling to find a good buffalo chicken wrap in the area. I tried Ted's and wow. Amazing. It was a large wrap but I really enjoyed it. What saddens me most about this place is that they close before I get home from work so my opportunities to enjoy it are limited. Their online system is easy to use. I used it both times and it worked great. Both times my food was ready when I arrived. Staff isn't mean but they also aren't chipper lol very straightforward in and out transaction. There is a parking lot for Ted's that is shared with Dunkin Donuts and a few other shops there. I am looking forward to eating here again!
