    Cookie Monster Wild Shake

Tenafly Classic Diner 16 W. Railroad Ave. Tenafly, NJ 07470 Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls French Dip Vodka Chicken Parmesan Funfetti Cake Cookie Monster Wild Shake Appearance: Taste: In downtown Tenafly is a local diner that serves a variety of dishes. The buffalo chicken egg rolls is a fantastic starter. The egg rolls packed with seasoned chicken and are served with blue cheese. Take a dip with the tender French dip. Be sure to dip your hoagie into the au jus. The homemade potato chips are hot and freshly made, which is a great side dish. For a diner, the chicken Parmesan was superior! There were two full size cutlets along with penne pasta. The sauce was thick and creamy; if I could, I would have ate the sauce by the gallon! The mozzarella cheese didn't have a golden brown char appearance, but don't let that fool you. The melted mozzarella blended perfectly with the cutlet, pasta, and sauce! The Funfetti cake was an excellent dessert; the cake was served chilled with layers of frosting in between the spongy, cake. My minor critique is that I wish the donut hole wasn't sliced as that compromises the appearance. Usually, I'm not a fan of wild shakes as the toppong is too overbearing. However, this does not apply with the Cookie Monster because the sugar cookie is not too powerful or sweet. In addition, the vanilla milkshake is dyed aqua blue to match the iconic Sesame Street character. The Cookie Monster design is very attractive and realistic. This was a fantastic experience visiting this restaurant. #tenaflyclassicdiner #buffalochickeneggrolls #frenchdip #vodkachickenparmesan #funfetticake #cookiemonstershake #wildshake #milkshake #eats #localspots #foodstagram #foodreview #njfoodie

A classic dinner- the kind of place that I like very much for its architecture and style. This was our first time here on a visit to the town. The service was great and the menu extensive. The food (generous portions) could have been better. We had the avocado toast and a country breakfast with scrambled eggs. Tea and a latte to drink. Everything tasted ok but not tasty- a pity. The check came to over $40.

Fast service. Great menu. Went for the the lunch special and it did not disappoint. Great deal. Great amount of food. Love the Cobb salad. I didn't like the matzah ball though.

I've been here a few times now. Morning weekends can be busy but they are good about getting you seated. They have some specialty drinks and desserts with a wow factor. It's a classic diner with big portions and fair pricing. They also serve some alcoholic options. I've gone for later in the evening dessert as well as breakfast. Staff is friendly. A good local spot to frequent with a large menu.

California Fish Tacos- grilled cod fish

We ordered dinner via UberEats last night. It was our first time trying out this restaurant and I would definitely order again. I am pleasantly surprised with the grilled cod fish tacos. VERY filling as it is served with generous amount of fish. And the bonus side of plantains and rice with black beans are a plus. Plantains are my favorite side dish add-on to fish tacos. It would be nice to see plantains as a side dish option to purchase, at least that was an option the food app. This restaurant is running a promo on the app. Or if the is Buy one get one free on their cheesecake dessert. I highly recommend their fluffy mousse-like whipped cheesecakes, so delicious! They taste homemade and slices were large. The only reason why I didn't give this a 5 stars is bc the taco was on the drier end. It could had used complimentary sauces and lime/lemon. Also, to food was cold by the time my delivery arrived. Will definitely reorder and try the crispy fish version next time.

The server Lina (hope I got that right) is amazing and gives great service. We got the French toast sticks (it was a huge portion for a great price and tasty), the firehouse burger (was extremely dry and lacking flavor) and Oreo pancakes (not pictured but always delicious). Overall the food and service are good.

Lively and loud diner on a Sat evening. It seemed child friendly since many group have children. Service was efficient, and food came out quickly. Got a Bronx Burger with "medium" patty, but the patty ultimately came out as well done. Burger was still thankfully ok.

I used to come here as a kid weekly. This place has not changed a bit and i guess that's good and bad lol. Food has always been mediocre to good. Its a diner and im not much of a diner person but it definitely has everything you could want. The service is good.

If you're looking for a hearty breakfast in the Tenafly Classic Diner is a go-to spot. The ambiance gives an old-school diner atmosphere; serves up all the classics and offers great value for your money. The breakfast menu has something for everyone. I'm a fan of their omelets. Standouts are the Greek omelet with spinach and feta and the Spanish omelet with tomatoes, onions, and peppers. The staff are also friendly. If you're in Tenafly, the Classic Diner is the perfect place to start your day with a hearty, affordable breakfast.

Take those expectations and throw them out the window, and open your taste buds and mind to new flavors to homemade dishes that will blow you away. I heavily recommend the mozzarella sticks which are more like bricks of cheese dipped in seasoned coatings that will make other mozzarella sticks think of a new name when these melt in your mouth and pull apart perfectly. The homerun of a sandwich is the Bun Jovi which is a honey Sriracha chicken schnitzel slathered with swiss cheese, pickles, pastrami, and coleslaw. And this dream of a sandwich delivers. The blue seating booths make the diner fun , with high backs they provide comfort and some privacy to your conversations. Jackson Hole came up in a diner list one day and its retro decor, neon sign and an Old Skool camper trailer parked out front made this a must visit location for me. My GF and I recently headed out for the 30ish minute drive to check this place out. I want to say ahead of time that my 4 stars is me feeling generous. This is "really" a 3.5 star review, but before I get into that let's talk about what's awesome. Out of all the diners I have visited in my life, this is one of my favorite in terms of decor and layout. The interior features a counter where you can sit and eat (classic). Booths with coat hooks built in line the diner and each one has a jukebox! The music is a mixture of classic and contemporary music. Want to hear Elvis followed by Lady Gaga? You can do that! The decor is filled with retro items including a display case featuring an old camera and toy diners from the past. It is a total nostalgia trip and I loved it. When you walk in there's even a pay phone encased in glass. The trailer outside is awesome, featuring a set up inside that includes a dinner setting and retro 50's/60's era furniture. The host was very friendly and had us sit anywhere so we chose a booth towards the back. I noticed a lady sitting alone in the booth behind ours (more on that in a bit). We eagerly ordered and started putting quarters into the jukebox and selected a bunch of retro music to help keep the mood nostalgic. Our waitress came by and took our order. We would later learn this is partly where some of our issues began. My GF had ordered her omelet to have egg whites, but the waitress didn't write it down so she wound up getting a regular egg omelet (she still ate it and it was okay). I ordered the buffalo wings and a turkey burger. The way the menu is laid out, I expected it to come with tomato, lettuce and fries - but for some reason they were not included and I had to ask for them after the fact. Here's the other issue, our waitress never came back to check on us. I literally watched her sitting at the counter bouncing a ball to distract herself while I was waving for someone to get me some water. I'm not saying she needed to keep a laser sharp eye on us, but coming over *once* during our meal would have been nice. For the record, there were only three other booths with customers. They were hardly overwhelmed. Had it not been for a nice waiter who was talking to the lady behind us, we wouldn't have gotten any service at all. He was great. The food was "okay" to "very good". The buffalo wings? They were super tiny and not crispy at all. The sauce was okay though. The burger was like the size of my fist so I was very impressed. The swiss cheese I requested was nicely melted on the turkey and the mushrooms in my burger were beautifully cooked. The burger was the highlight of my meal. I did eventually get fries with it but the serving was so anemic I was shocked. I think there were maybe about 10 steak fries in the order. They were good, but it was the saddest fry order I've ever seen size-wise. I tell myself that since this visit was late on a Sunday perhaps we were not gettin the "A-Team" of this diner. The nostalgic trappings are enough to bring me back again, but next time I'll try a slightly busier time in hopes of getting better service.

The food doesn't disappoint, but the lack of service consistency needs to be polished better. I get it that it was busy, but it literally took over an hour for me to receive my order. I was very patient and didn't make a fuss about. I get they were bombarded with a lot of to go and delivery orders, but you shouldn't neglect dine in customers and we shouldn't have to ask for our order follow up. Table touches need to happen more often, especially after 30mins of guest still not having food on their table after ordering. I just want this business to do better in this area.

Englewood Diner 54 Engle St…read more Englewood, NJ 07631 Breakfast Special Mangu Con Los Golpes 5 This locally served diner serves both American and Dominican dishes. A couple of the window advertisements caught my eye, and I decided to them both a try. Breakfast Special: I definitely fulfilled my appetite with this massive breakfast which included pancakes, over easy eggs, Taylor ham and hash browns. The portions were so plentiful that I needed more than one plate! The chef substituted a couple slices of regular ham because they only had 3 of the 4 Taylor ham slabs that are included with this special. Although I enjoyed the traditional ham, Taylor ham is the better choice of the two. Mangu Con Los Golpes 5: If you looking for a Dominican spin on a traditional breakfast, this is the perfect pick. The gigantic plate had eggs, fried cheese, Dominican sausage, salami, mashed plantains, and avocados. Initially, I didn't think I was going to have an acquired taste because I was not accustomed to eating this type of breakfast. After a couple bites, I realized I was mistaken; my only regret is that I never explored this plate until now. The only slight disadvantage to this restaurant is the misleading outdoor sign. It lists "Breakfast Lunch Dinner" underneath "Englewood Diner," but the restaurant closes at 3:00 PM every day. It would be recommended to omit "Dinner" to avoid any confusion. I truly recommend this diner because the portions are more than fair and the prices are reasonable. #englewooddiner #njdiners #breakfastspecial #manguconlosgolpes5 #dominicandiner
