So decided to check this place out again after 1 year and a half. It was a late weekday morning. The place was not busy and the server was very kind. I ordered breakfast: pancakes, eggs, bacon, coffee Coffee was actually OK Pancakes -good taste but thin (not fluffy) decent size Bacon- super thin, small links but crispy and kind of salty for my taste Prices-normal I guess but for me, I would rather go to TriValley for those prices-actually TriValley may be less costly and their servings are more generous. Will return for lunch.....out of curiosity.

Huevos Rancheros were phenomenal and come with black beans n avocado, tortillas n crispy hashbrowns

Checked out this place under new management after the owner distributed flyers around the neighborhood, food was delicious and they have a diverse menu which is a biggie when ur tired of the same old american cuisine. Food was delicious and at a fair price. Huesvos Rancheros were excellent, Its new and at the moment i only saw one waiter dashing about but service was good and im glad to have found a decent diner near dumont besides Matthews. I will be returning for brunch FYI they never have Monterey Jack cheese dont know why, but some of their dishes include it but they never have it in stock, bummer otherwise id give this place 5 stars

The Circle is a true gem! The food is simple, old school diner goodness. The waitresses make you feel like family...they are warm, friendly and real. Finally the prices are very reasonable especially for a meal that is this delicious and fresh. Nothing fancy here...but for breakfast or lunch out this is always our family's #1 choice.

Have lived in town for years but this is the first time I'm going into the diner. It is in the same shopping area the Walgreens is at. Waiting for breakfast the place seems to be busy which is a great sign. Food was great service was wonderful. Would definitely come back for another meal. They do have specials throughout the day.

One of the best kept secrets in the area for breakfast. Where else can you get 2 eggs done any way you wish, home fries, toast and coffee or french toast and coffee for $3.25. You know its a good deal by looking at the senior customer base, the median age of the customers appear to be 60 . Not a fancy place by any means but clean and staffed by a friendly crew.

Great place for breakfast and lunch.

One of Dumont's best kept secrets. Tucked away in the circle, this place is great for breakfast and lunch and is very inexpensive. You'll love it too.

Crispy chicken sandwich with a side of avocado!

It wasn't until the 17th century that this meal became a more common practice, especially among the wealthy, who would have rich dishes like scrambled eggs alongside coffee and tea in the morning. The Garden State is still known as the diner capital of the world. Located off Essex Street in Hackensack, this establishment is one of the handful of 24-hour diners. With its unique harlequin decor, Chit Chat remains a chic, upscale diner that we frequent often with friends and family. Upon arrival this morning, my partner, his family, and I were greeted by the staff at the host station, and we were able to get a table quickly. The menu was extensive, and we took our time looking but did not feel rushed. Their menu includes a lot of things one may not find on a regular menu. We decided on their brunch menu and ordered Raspberry & Brie Stuffed French Toast, Santorini Benedict, Bro-Nana Cocoa-Nuts Multigrain Pancakes, and Chorizo Hash & Eggs with a choice of a complimentary mimosa, bloody Mary, or Bellini. The food is always fresh and tastes delicious. The portion is healthy and the prices reasonable. The service is consistently fast and friendly. Our server was Ashley. Today, breakfast isn't just about nutrition; it's a cultural ritual.

I really wanted to enjoy the place, as I've had other friends frequent it. From the inception of the restaurant, they've had "pastrami" as the highlight. I really wanted that. They didn't have it. I told them the rest of my family's order and to come back afterwards so I can find something else. Decided on some chili as it was a cold day. They didn't have that either. I gave up and just didn't order anything for myself. Every thing came out bland. We didn't ask for no salt or lower sodium. Either way the cute little salt shaker visited a lot. At the price point that they have, I really was expecting something. The disco fries were scarce. I can basically count how many there were. As well as not knowing what kind of gravy it included on the side. The chicken tenders were bland, but at least the chicken was tender and the coating was crispy. Strawberry pancakes were fluffy and good on the first bite, but if left cold, it just became hard. The strawberry butter was a really nice touch and I enjoyed it. Too much strawberry for me, but will not lower the score for that. That's just my preference of taste. The mac and cheese was soupy and not thick, and again no seasoning. Cheeseburger was okay, didn't wow us. Also could not figure out if it was house made or not. It was lean, somewhat juicy, but it was a little tough. Wasn't horrible. What I found interesting was with the amount of fries that came with our order, they all came out differently. The disco fries were crispy, fries that came with the mac and cheese were over done, and the cheeseburger fries were a mixture of crispy, soggy and overdone. But one commonality with all the fries was how bland it was. Anyway, between the pricing and not having two things that I ordered, was just enough to put me in a sour mood.

Take those expectations and throw them out the window, and open your taste buds and mind to new flavors to homemade dishes that will blow you away. I heavily recommend the mozzarella sticks which are more like bricks of cheese dipped in seasoned coatings that will make other mozzarella sticks think of a new name when these melt in your mouth and pull apart perfectly. The homerun of a sandwich is the Bun Jovi which is a honey Sriracha chicken schnitzel slathered with swiss cheese, pickles, pastrami, and coleslaw. And this dream of a sandwich delivers. The blue seating booths make the diner fun , with high backs they provide comfort and some privacy to your conversations. The staff is beyond freindly and each make sure you are having the best dining experience. To many positives about Country MKT Dinner to name, but each will create a core memory.

We arrived a little after 9pm. The service of the young server was perfect. He was prompt, polite and attentive to our needs. The food was as good as you can get at a highway diner. We got what we expected and enjoyed it. Desert, however, is another story. D is allergic to anything that contains caffeine. That means no coffee, tea, certain pain medications and NO CHOCOLATE. She asked me to go to the display counter and see what kind of cheesecake there was. There were many different kinds: mango, orange, caramel, banana and more. Unfortunately, this diner's idea of garnishing a desert is with a creme topping loaded with CHOCOLATE STICKS, CHIPS, AND COOKIES! (see attached photo) EVEN THE DESERT LABLED VANILLA CAKE WAS FESTOONED WITH CHOCOLATE HOO-HAH! When I mentioned this to the management, I was told, "Well, we have rice pudding and baklava." No matter how I worded it, he just couldn't seem to comprehend that a good 90+% of his deserts had chocolate which was discriminatory against people who are allergic to chocolate. I even tried to put it in another reality for him. I asked if their baker made anything with peanut or peanut butter. He replied in the affirmative. I asked if they had a special preparation area so that there were safe deserts for a child with a peanut allergy. He didn't seem to understand the premise. So, if you, or your child have ANY food allergies, I strongly suggest that you avoid the Suburban Diner at all costs. We will be doing so in the future.

It looks like they are doing some work near the lobby area, possibly weather related, but it did not take away from the experience. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted right away. The staff was friendly across the board and our server Emma was great. She checked in often and made sure we were good. Even though we ordered at different times, the food still came out relatively quick. Now onto the food. We had two Godfather omelettes with home fries. They were okay, but mine lacked flavor and the hash browns were overcooked. The potato skins with bacon were good, but also a bit overcooked. The standout for me was the breakfast egg rolls. Stuffed with Taylor ham, egg, and cheese, they were juicy, crispy, savory, and loaded with gooey cheese. Easily the best thing I had. We also had the bacon egg and cheese biscuit sliders, which I was told were good. The fish and chips, on the other hand, did not hit. It was greasy, heavily breaded, and the fish was mushy inside. The fries had a slightly off taste, though not terrible. I also had an espresso martini. It was decent, not the best I have had, but still enjoyable. Overall, the experience was good. Friendly service, a clean and comfortable space, and some strong menu items mixed with a few misses. I would come back to try more, especially the Bandito Burrito, Latin Steak and Eggs, buttermilk pancakes, short rib and egg tacos, Mexicali skillet, Cuban breakfast, cheesy bacon tots, Irish Dream coffee, and Pirate's rum punch. And definitely those breakfast egg rolls again.

Shrinkflation is the new name of the game here from my experience over the past couple of months!…read more $14.95 for 2 scrambled eggs, home fries, toast, and 2 sausage links. 1. The new sausage links are significantly smaller than they used to be. 2. You're never going to get 2 eggs. It always looks like a bit more than 1 egg when scrambled, portions are horrible. 3. Home fries are dry and bland. 4. I don't even think they really butter the toast anymore either. This weekend 3 adults and 1 child eating sliders, 2 burgers, an adult shake and a kids shake came to $100. When eating I asked the waiter if I could get a slice of onion for my burger, he told me it would be $1 extra. I said "oh I think you misheard me, can I just get a few pieces of raw purple onion for my burger, nothing fancy?" Nope, after speaking to manager they now want 55 cents for a slice of a vegetable on the burger! I jokingly asked "How much for the entire onion?" They responded that they won't sell an entire onion. And remember when you would get a burger deluxe and there would be a bunch of french fries on your plate, not anymore here. Now they put a small handful of french fries in a small metal cup on your plate, maybe 20 medium fries. Now it's $1.00 for a slice of cheese and 75 cents for lettuce and tomato. So now it's $15.95 for a cheeseburger with a few french fries, an onion ring, cole slaw, and pickles. They won't charge you for an extra pickle slice yet, so at least I could eat a few pickle spears with our $100 burgers. Also, $3.25 for a seltzer?!! This place is crazy! I wonder how many times the topic of charging for ketchup, salt & pepper came up b/c that's next I fear! The prices go up, the portions get smaller, and we get nickel and dimed for every little thing. So I left a significantly smaller tip, if I'm going to get cheaped out on every little thing then I'm going to start doing it too. If prices increase by 20% and portions decrease by 20% and service decreases then that's where I'm going to find my savings. Sorry to say, this is our new reality.
