I would not recommend this location, and it's best to go visit a different one. The food is always very dry and sits out all day. Like other reviewers mentioned, I don't think anything is cooked on site. The food is also very salty, and if you choose the wrong items, you'll have a stomachache for days. It can be difficult to order because the workers don't speak English very well. The inside of the store is dingey and dirty. I had been intrigued by this place for some time now but just had the opportunity to try them recently. I ordered food to go and although tasty, it didn't sit well with me. I had an upset stomach for over 24 hours. The place is clean, very friendly service md reasonable pricing. My pernil with arroz moro and a few steamed veggies lunch special was tasty, albeit pricey. My veggies may have cost extra, but I have no way of knowing, as part of the menu isn't priced on either the printed menu or the screen menus in the restaurant. Why not list the prices? Looking at the printed menu, it seems soup is free (probably not)! Although it seems like I check in here a lot, it's more about the weather than the food in the winter time. Not to say that the food isn't good- far from it! We come in from a project around the corner to sit inside and enjoy a cup of coffee and a soup and maybe an enchilada or two. The staff here is very friendly and always comes right away to take our order. They make coffee fresh for us on each visit and it does a body good to be warmed up on the inside. The restaurant is split between a John's Fried Chicken and a Dominican food establishment. There are places to eat along one wall in the back but I wouldn't suggest bringing a large group- there simply isn't enough room for more than maybe 15 seats in the whole restaurant. Located in a strip mall with multiple other options, this place is fantastic and really tasty. I usually get their three piece meal with fries which is under 7 bucks. It comes with a wing, a leg and a thigh. The chicken is juicy and never greasy. The fries are cooked to perfection every time and are super crispy. But their homemade hot sauce is to die for. I loved this place and have recommended so many of my co workers, employees and friends since it is the food of my culture and it's actually here in Paramus!! But boy do they need to work on their customer service!! The customer is always right is definitely not a a slogan used here, actually more like let's go on and argue with the customer and embarrass them is the way to go. As someone who has ran a successful business for the last two years, I'm almost embarrassed of how I was treated here. I simply stated in Spanish which is the language spoken by the person who was serving me, that the last time my $15 soup only had one piece of meat and then one big bone obviously along with the other ingredients but we are now talking about the meat in particular. Instead of this lovely Lady apologizing, she flat out told me I was lying. It was downhill from there and too much to type but just know that they both and by both I mean the supposed manager that I am not sure what training as a manager she received, but the owners of this establishment might want to send her back. She proceeded to argue with me the entire time I was there even, when I explained to them that the food is amazing and I was just stating that possibly because of the meat being on the steam table it could have fallen off the bone but I literally only received a small piece of meat and if I can have more. I want to see my people excelling and if this is the kind of customer service that is given to all customers here I do not see this business lasting much longer no matter how good their food is, which is pretty expensive by the way and we pay it because again it's good. But arguing back-and-forth with a customer is a no go!
