Got tacos to go. My friend has eaten here many times and loves it. I got the Al pastor tacos. I wish I can mix and match my 3 tacos instead of getting all the same. I thought it was going to have pineapple in it, since that's the menu says (and other places put a slice of pineapple in it) but it doesn't and that's disappointing. The tacos themselves were very flavorful and filling. There is a lot of meat in them and I was full after eating 3 tacos. We got a side for guacamole and that was good too. Small taco spot in Fair Lawn that could use more seasoning. Chicken tacos were flavorless. Green sauce was bland, red sauce reminded me of the sauce you'd find in a Buldak ramen packet. Beef al pastor was decent but nothing to rave about. I appreciated that extra sauce, although bland, was given, along with extra cilantro, onion, limes and sour cream. Think Taco Bell but not. I've only tried the crunch wrap supremo and the pastor tacos. Both hit the spot. The tacos were large compared to most places that use corn tortillas. Decent filling and flavor. I believe they were about $14 The crunch wrap was very similar to Taco Bell but you could tell it was just made with more love and less preservatives. That was a steal coming in at only about $9. The lady at counter asked if I wanted any sauces or sour cream which I appreciate because I would have forgot to ask. Which would have ruined my meal maybe my day‍. Most places won't ask you because they want to save money. Huge points in their favor. I will definitely try Taco Buzz again. One strike was the fact it didn't smell especially fresh. I did look clean though. I'm not sure if it was something from the outside or plumbing or what. If you know me, you know I've been DYING to go to a restaurant that has halal birria tacos. When I found out about this place I was so excited!! But I was very disappointed by this location. 1. The front door was blocked by these large boxes, so I had to use the back entrance. The staff told me it's not an entrance and I shouldn't use it. SEE IN PICS HOW IT LITERALLY SAYS TACO BUZZ ENTRANCE!! Also, if you don't want people using the back door how about you don't block the front door? 2. They got the order wrong due to items not being in stock, and didn't tell me. I had to go back in (yes, from the back door because they still didn't unblock the front) and tell them multiple times. The most frustrating part about this was that they told me they were given me one thing for a replacement, but it ended up being something completely different and much cheaper. They need to communicate better. 3. The food just was not good. It tasted plain and flavorless. The steak birria was bland and had some salt but not much. The consume that comes with the birria was ~ 50% oil and was not edible. The cheese empanadas were not fully cooked and completely uncooked in the center. The meat empanadas had some flavor, not a lot, compared to the rest of the food. But they were really cold? I don't know why, since the other food was hot. I was looking for halal for my clients and came across this spot. I called in my order. For myself, I got the shrimp platter. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and told the man I was picking up. I paid and the man helped me to my car which I appreciated. When I dug in the platter was very good. I could have done without the homemade tortillas. I've been here a few times and the food is usually very good and well seasoned. I've tried the birria tacos and they were delicious the consume was flavorful and the cheese was perfectly melted. I had the tostadas twice once was very delicious and flavorful the second time was bland. That's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I got the Crunchwrap with al pastor. It was so good definitely would recommend getting that with the green salsa. I love their green salsa. It's a small restaurant with a few tables if you want to dine in. I've only ever got take out and the service is usually quick not sure about servicing dining in. read more

My husband and I were craving Taco Bell, but they're so far away. Taco Buzz was suggested and we decided to give it a try. The crunch wrap supremo is a decent dupe to the beloved Crunch Wrap Supreme. It's served with white sauce, red hot sauce and a green hot sauce. The green sauce is amazing and I could literally eat a shoe if it had this sauce on it. The churros are good, but I was really disappointed that they weren't strawberry filled like the menu states. We'll definitely order again to try more menu items. read more

Whether you get it in a taco (like I did), a quesadilla (like my boyfriend did), or anything on this menu really - it'll be the best thing you ate all day! Everything else we tried on the menu was also really good and we got it in a timely manner. I actually really loved the goat barbacoa taco. Can't say I've eaten much goat meat, but I figured I'd be adventurous. It's gamey tasting, but all the flavors in the taco (cheese, cilantro, onions, corn, salsa) make it work. You can taste the love and fusion in every bite. I recommend squeezing some Mexican white queso onto your food to enhance the flavors too! Lastly - The owner Jackie is awesome! She's very friendly and made sure that everything was to our liking. Found this place off a Google search, went in for some Mexican takeout. The dining area is super nice and vibrant, a lot of pretty wall art and decorations. The menu has lots of options to choose from including seafood and vegetarian options. I had the shrimp torta and my friend had the soft chicken tacos. The torta was really good! The bread was soft and perfectly toasted plus they weren't stingy with the filling which I liked. My friend enjoyed her chicken tacos but she mentioned that they were a bit cold. I also got the strawberry and caramel stuffed churros, they were warm and delicious. This restaurant is definitely not your typical authentic Mexican spot but I would definitely recommend this spot for some quick yummy Mexican. read more

This was our first time stopping by instead of ordering delivery hoping that the food would be a bit better. But we weren't too impressed with the mains, but appetizers were good. I personally feel like the food is a little too costly for the quantity and quality of the food. I got to admit, the guacamole was delicious, I wish there was more spice (jalapeños). The birria tacos itself were bland along with the consume (dipping sauce) it comes with. So wouldn't order that again. Taco Buzz is a very unique fusion of Mediterranean (Middle Eastern) food and Mexican food, one that I definitely have never seen before. For the most part, most of the dishes that you will find here are more along the lines of Mexican, but you do have the option to add falafel to certain dishes. This is a Halal spot for those that are interested in that which plays into the Middle Eastern side of things. My family and I got take out here one night and I ordered online. Everything was ready right when I came to pick it up so no issues there. I got the Pechuga De Pollo Asada Con Nepales platter which is basically grilled chicken with rice, beans, and some grilled cactus. An absolutely delicious and flavorful dish and quite a large portion size. This was enough for me for both dinner and lunch and to be honest I probably could have had a third meal out of it. I definitely recommend getting their guacamole and salsa along with their homemade chips. The chips are so addicting so beware! We also got the Taco Buzz salad and my sister got the Chicken Tostadas. Overall, I think the quality of the ingredients is very high and the food itself is pretty good. read more

Nice little shop in the middle of downtown Fair Lawn. Was excited to try it when I saw they had goat on the menu. Got 3 soft tacos: goat, al pastor, and chicken. I thought they were a bit expensive, but they were pretty big tacos, loaded with plenty of meat. They were all a little dry, but well seasoned. The guac was very good, creamy, slight spice. Will be back to try the sandwiches! I forgot to mention that the lady behind the counter totally destroyed my friend and it was hilarious. He ordered mozzarella sticks (I know who does that at a taco spot) and the kitchen asked how many, her reponse was "3...no 4, he looks like he can handle 4" HAHAHAHA. read more

Because this place is halal I really want to give it 5 stars. I was so excited to see birria tacos on the menu so I had to stop in and try. The birria tacos were bland to say the least and all it had was cheese and meet no cilantro no onions. The consome was not good at all. The hard shell tacos with the ground beef were my favorite. A real find! Sounds crazy, but I actually found Taco Buzz Halal using the new Bing AI chat. I asked it to recommend a good Mexican restaurant near us and it suggested one that we'd been to but didn't care for. When I told that to the chatbot, it apologized and asked if we had been to Taco Buzz Halal. I don't remember its exact wording, but it said that TBH serves a unique combination of Lebanese Halal and Mexican food. We tried it on Cinco de Mayo and we loved it. We've been back several times since and are slowly working our way through the menu. No disappointments, so far. Everything is fresh, and most items are made on-site. The made-to-order guacamole is excellent, as were the enchiladas, tacos - and the falafel sandwich. We haven't tried the shawarma platter yet, but that's up next. Taco Buzz Halal, which has been in operation for four years, is owned by a mother and son duo who are always onsite and hands-on. Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

A pity this didn't exist when I grew up in this area, and a pity it's not now closer to home. I've tried a few of the tacos (veggie, al pastor, beef w pineapple, goat) -- all satisfying, with the veggie being excellent for including carrots and peas and I think a bit of broccoli, in a way that was tasty but still light. I also tried the veg burrito, which is easy to recommend, and the sides of beans, black and pinto, both perfectly done (rich fatty flavor, a little soupy but still thick) There is also falafel, which I've not tried but is worth mentioning: the owner originally intended this to be a fusion Mexican / Middle Eastern place, and hopes one day to get there. read more

Very creamy and fresh tasting ). I ordered the bistec asado. While the steak was a bit on the dry side, everything was perfectly seasoned. Rice and beans were also cooked and seasoned wonderfully. I also liked how big the portion was for the price. I would recomend this place not only for the food , but for the great hospitality from the staff. The service - A very nice hostess but incredibly inattentive. I've placed orders to go twice here.. both times she sat on her phone with me literally standing a foot in front of her at the counter for well over 3 minutes. Imagine three minutes of standing right in front of a person while they played Candy Crush and ignored you. That being said I actually don't think she meant to do it either time oddly enough. The food- Average AF. the ingredients always taste fresh however everything is unbelievably dry. They don't believe in using any sauces or condiments in their food apparently. The first time I ordered, I thought maybe it was just a mistake. The second time, I realized this is just how they cook their food. Make sure you have whatever sauces you want bc everything is dry. After reading all the good reviews for Taco Buzz.My wife and I went to Taco Buzz on Sunday afternoon. Well my review is not so good. I had 3 tacos and a side of rice & beans.. My Taco's were Al Pastor,Beef and Steak. All 3 tasted the same/tasteless. My wife had a chicken Quesadilla and she didn't like hers either. The beans were ok but the rice was also tasteless. A previous reviewer said: "The tacos are very authentic, I recommend the Al Pastor tacos." Maybe I don't know what authentic taco's should taste like but I know what I like. This was the 3rd Sunday in row we went to a place with good Yelp reviews and we were disappointed. Another Sunday afternoon bummer. If I want a taco I'll stick with Taco Bell!! This is my second time trying Taco buzz, the first time they didn't have what I wanted to order. I decided to give them another chance because they had only been open a couple of weeks, but this time I ordered a chicken quesadilla and there are bones in it.. I found a piece in the first quarter I ate and cautiously proceeded to continue to eat it because the flavor is decent. Unfortunately, there was a piece of bone in my first bite of the next quarter of the quesadilla. Stopped in this place yesterday as we're always on the hunt for a good taco. Taco buzz exceeded my expectations! The decor on the inside of the place was really cute, added to the authentic feel. They have quite a few tables and on a Saturday night was pretty full. We were doing take out so not a worry. First, the woman working the counter was an absolute gem! You could tell she really cared about her customers, kept a positive attitude and went above and beyond to help us with our order. So now the food - delicious! We got a few authentic street tacos like the cecina, ground beef and barbacoa which were all cooked and seasoned perfectly. We also ended up getting 3 chicken tacos with lettuce, tomato and cheese which were soo good. The chicken was so tender and juicy. We also got a chicken quesadilla which had that same fresh chicken and soooo much cheese. Everything was truly delicious! Happy to find an authentic little shop like this so close to home!
