Fruit flies and low grade margaritas. I wouldn't trust any fruit coming from the bar. The bar's tequila used for the margaritas could be better. The premade mix was smooth but the tequila was rough. The staff was kind but seemed distracted by the iPads. Overall I wouldn't return because the place felt dirty. Pros - hot temperature food - food came out fast - interior decoration Cons - fruit flies everywhere - margaritas - bar service slow

The food here was outstanding, all the food came out hot and tasted fresh! We love authentic mexican food and this hit the spot. Andre was our waiter and he was super helpful and friendly! The vibe inside was fun and they had fun music playing and it was air conditioned which was perfect on such a hot night. Make sure you try the Birria tacos, they were to die for! 10/10 recommend!!!

La Hacienda was newly renovated and they are definitely better than they were in the past. The service was pretty good and the prices are also decent! The chimichangas were to die for! They also have the best flautas I've tasted in the area! Definitely would recommend!

Hacienda is a fun place to go on a Saturday night. Luckily it was easy to park and we were able to get a table within a few minutes. Service was generally good, although food showed up at our table that wasn't ours. They then picked it up after a few moments and dropped it at another table. I had a Virgin pina colada, elotes asado, and a steak burrito. Everything was good basic Mexican, but nothing really stood out.

Classic Mexican restaurant. Good flavors. Fresh produce. Efficient staff. Usually super packed on the weekends. Get there early or try it on a weekday. Make sure you get a delicious margarita.

This restaurant was amazing. We came in for dinner on cinco de Mayo, the restaurant was packed but we were seated in about 20 minutes. I had the king Cadillac margarita and my friend had the white sangria, both drinks were amazing!! We had the chicken nachos as our appetizer. These are a must! They were fresh, hot, and delicious. The chicken on the nachos was super flavorful and they were very generous with the toppings. For our entrees we had the shrimp fajitas and stuffed poblano peppers. Both dishes were delicious! Full of flavor and the portion sizes were great. The restaurant was packed but our food came out very fast & everything was hot and fresh. The service was amazing, our waiter even brought us some cinco de Mayo freebies (Tito's bandana, casamigos shot cup, corona bottle opener) which was super cool. Overall, great service, delicious food, and strong drinks. I will definitely be coming back.

Didn't take food pics but ordered the following: The appetizer platter Todo Mexicano which brings chicken quesadillas which tasted pretty good;grilled shrimp cooked perfectly and delicious, empanadas with I believe had some yellow cheese inside and tiny tiny bits of scallions? Not sure but they just had cheese and small hint of some type of seafood flavor. Fried calamari which was fresh, and crispy wings which were overly salty almost not edible. Had the guacamole which was alright but did not taste the freshest. Flautas, which had a taste of grease and not as crispy as they should be. The nacho platter, this was pretty good but not as much meat throughout the plate, just mainly on top. But worth the price. Chicken tenders and French fries from the kids menu(not listed in main menu), but chicken was soo hard and felt like it was microwaved then flash fried. Not worth it! Though many have recommended to come give this place a try, I was not impressed. Overall, I would not recommend this place as your first stop for some American Mexican food(definitely not authentic Mexican food). If you want some drinks and appetizers, then this is the place for you.

Loved it. Food, service, drinks...... all great! Their sangria is perfect. We had the white, but have had the res in the past. Both are great. The ceviche salad is enough for 2/3 people and is fresh. The waitstaff is professional and respectful. Entire dining room has been renovated and has an authentic atmosphere We had the fresh snapper which had lots of garlic and tasted amazing Also had the carne asada burrito which made me smile when I ate it and will make me happy again tomorrow for lunch(big portions) Would highly recommend Hard to find places like this anymore!!!

They have great customer service. However, the kids meals with the french fries and the chicken tenders are too greasy for anyone.

We enjoyed the $9 margaritas - mango, guava and passion fruit were all absolutely delicious, my favorite being the mango. We ordered small plates to share off of both the HH & regular menu, everything was fresh and tasty. Our server was very attentive and offered great suggestions. He said the Mac & cheese was a "must order" and I honestly agree! He also said we could order the "elote loco" off the cob and that was another favorite as well. We enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back for their amazing happy hour!

The guacamole didn't taste fresh at all and the chicken in the flautas had no flavor. For dinner, I had the enchiladas suizas. The chicken was the same chicken used in the flautas aka flavorless and the tomatillo "salsa" did not taste like salsa at all. It actually tasted more like the "avocado mousse" that the flautas were drenched in. My husband had the carnitas michoacan and he said they were just okay/super greasy/wouldn't get them again. Both our meals were supposed to come with rice and beans, but they only bought one side for us to share. When I looked around the restaurant, it seemed like they only bring one side per table regardless of party size. This to me is a rip off especially since this place is pricey. My 2 year old was also with us and we got him chicken fingers and fries from their very limited kids options. When I asked if he can have rice and beans instead of fries, they said no. You're a Mexican restaurant - maybe put a taco option with rice and beans on the kids menu. For dessert, we got tres leches- it was fine. The only other things ordered were a cocktail and a beer. We waited SOOOO long to get the bill and even longer for someone to come back to take our payment. With tip included- our total was about $180. That is very steep for the quality and quantity of food. Sadly, I don't think we will return.

With this area being our go to after a Salvation Army drop off run in Passaic, Tio Taco was next up on our list after we had already hit up a few of the restaurants in the Clifton shopping area. We came by at around 12pm on a wintry Saturday afternoon and there was only one table occupied at the time. When we walked in though, unfortunately we weren't greeted by anyone for a good few minutes, so alarms already were going off in our heads of a potentially bad experience coming up. We ended up walking in on our own and seating ourselves before being greeted. The menu was Mexican-oriented as you can imagine - empanadas, tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, steak and seafood Mexican-inspired entrees, etc. It wasn't a huge menu, but plenty to still choose from. We started off with the Beef Empanadas, which were FANTASTICCC. There were 3 large pieces in the order, which easssssily could have been an entree. It was some of the best beef empanadas I've had - honestly. Juicy seasoned beef and very good flavor from the sofrito. It came with a side of lettuce and pico de gallo and cheese dipping sauce. Next, the entrees. We ordered from the Kids menu for the kiddos - a Kids Chicken Quesadilla. First, the order was absolutely HUGEEEE! We were so shocked that the serving was so big that we double-checked with the waiter that it wasn't 2 orders. This was one of the largest kids meals items I had ever seen. There were 6 cut up pieces of the quesadilla, which was generously filled with lots of chicken and melted cheese. There was also a side of deliciously super crispy fries. I had 1 piece of the quesadilla and it stunned me that it was soooo gooood and the entire order probably would have filled me up with ease. My better half ordered the Churrasco Skirt Steak and I had the Short Rib Enchiladas. BOTH were ridiculously superb. The skirt steak was tender, juicy, flavorful and the chimichurri sauce was perfect. One of the better "non-fancy restaurant" steaks that we've had. As for the enchiladas, absolutely delicious! The short rib was soooo juicy and flavorful. Both entrees came with a side of rice and beans. The rice was a bit on the hard side, but I mixed mine with the beans, which made it better. We've been to our fair share of restaurants and, especially chain restaurants, and this was one of the best experiences, service wise and food wise, that we've had. It didn't get off to the best start having to wait a few minutes to be greeted, but our waiter was very friendly, accommodating with our requests for non-glass plates and plastic forks and even brought over extra ketchup and napkins without us asking. He came by to check on us every once in a while as well. And, yes, initially I was brought the wrong order of enchiladas, but they fixed that up asap with a brand new order for me. In closing, I'll say that when we visit chain restaurants these days, most of the food is decent and satisfies our hunger, but nothing very memorable ... the food here was absolutely MEMORABLE and we'll definitely be back.
