Honestly the worst Chipotle I have ever been to in my life. It's very small (which really isn't a problem), but it does become a problem when you never clean any of the tables. I have been to this location many times at different times. Whether they are busy or very slow this location id always dirty. They don't seem to care about cleaning tables ever and the bathroom is a mess as well. Most of the food is alright; however the guacamole and chips at this location are a waste of your money. Other Chipotle's have a heat lamp and bag your chips as you order and keep making fresh chip's. This place has everything prebagged from god knows how long ago. They are cold and stale and just not worth the extra money. The customer service is really bad as well. When you ask them to clean tables so you can have a place to sit I have had people roll their eyes at me like keep the place clean isn't apart of their job. This last time I had gone I was asked to wait while they cleaned. Which normally would have been fine if they hadn't made me wait 5 mins to get someone to go clean. At which point when I finally did sit down my food had started to already get cold. Chipotle is an amazing restaurant at every other location I have been to but, this one just seems like they don't care about anything except making as much money as they can. I have tried to be patient with this location since the day they had opened but, now i give up. After being open for so long and not being able to do basic things like keep the area clean, good customer service, and serve warm fresh food is just a disgrace to the brand itself. I highly recommend ANY OTHER Chipotle than the one in Paramus. Even if you are just in the mood for some go someplace else because I promise you will be disappointed after going there. read more

Chioptle, oh sweet Chipotle. Chipotle is the best mexican chain in my opinion- I would easily choose it over Q'doba, Moe's, and Pancheros any day. Food is always fresh and the place is always busy so none of the ingredients are sitting in warming trays for hours on end. I'm not typically a burrito gal so I've always gone with the burrito bowl, its a lot more manageable in my opinion. I've been here on numerous occasions and never have had any issues. One thing I have noticed is you get a larger portion in the burrito bowl if you eat in house rather than take out. Like others have said, I don't think its fair to charge $2 for a dab of guac. If you can't do without the guac, be sure to order it on the side so they will fill the container. There is always a line at this location so I would recommend ordering ahead for take out if possible. read more

Holy Guacamole!!!! I stopped by for my weekly dinner pickup on Tuesday.....the line was THROUGH THE DOOR! I am surprised that this location doesn't have better reviews, because the place is ALWAYS busy. Usually not 'line-through-door' busy but BUSY. LOVE LOVE LOVE Chipotle! They serve great, fresh food and you are able to customize the ingredients to your taste. They also have a commitment to organic ingredients, which is nice. This is not "fast food", though it is certainly convenient. If you are en route to Paramus and hunger strikes, this is the place to go. The staff are friendly and down to earth. 4 Stars for what it is- a Quality, Clean, Fast Food Chain I am writing this review as I chomp down on a super-sized chicken burrito, which by the way is pretty damn tasty.. a bit spicy but I might have added in something my taste buds can't handle. Anyway, this was my first Chipotle experience. I have heard a bunch about the chain due to the fact of it's "Eco-Friendly-ness" so on top of the yummy quick food it has a higher purpose...which I always dig. One tip.... Order the Tacos instead of the Burrito, unless you want to leave with a 3 pound mexi-brick... It is a tasty brick but I saw everyone else ordering the tacos and they come in 3 smaller burrito sizes, so you can eat them more comfortably with out looking like a caveman. I'm sorry, but the veggie rice bowl gave me severe cramps for hours. It was hours before the cramps and other digestive issues subsided. I later realized the rice was undercooked (I hope that's all I have to worry about). I wouldn't want to imagine what the meat is like at this place if they can't even serve a simple vegetarian rice bowl without any problems. This location just opened up a few days ago. I had the steak fajita burrito with white rice, corn salsa, hot salsa, lettuce, cheese and guacamole. The burrito was very fresh tasting and very large. I was a little annoyed to find out, after the fact, that they charged me $1.95 for putting guacamole on the burrito. I would have appreciated it if they had told me in advance. Also had the chips. I'd love to give Chipotle 5 stars and honestly, I think I'll be updating this soon and adding the other star. As you may or may not know, Chipotle has a corporate initiative toward full transparency and serving fresh, healthy foods and eliminating GMO ingredients where possible and disclosing them where thy can't. This is why I LOVE Chipotle ... I mean, have you heard of any other fast food place making this same promise? Chipotle is definitely leading the pack here and their food just tastes so fresh and healthy (you choose what ingredients to put in your meal so what more can you ask for!? Lots of healthy options as well as some that are not quite as healthy (higher carbs, fat ... ). Anyway, since I was aware of Chipotle's stance on GMO's I asked if corn salsa was GMO and today the server couldn't answer. Actually she looked at me with a completely blank stare. It was clear she didn't even know what a GMO was (GMO's are, btw, genetically modified organisms, and personally, I believe they have no place in our food supply - I encourage you to do your own research and form your own opinion). Anyway, I posted about this on Chipotle's Facebook page and they were really helpful in directing me where to find out the most current info on their corporate website and promised to continue the work to keep their employees informed as well. I was more than satisfied with their answer. Once they finish eliminating all GMO's and I can walk in and ask again if an ingredient is GMO free and get an accurate answer I'll definitely update this review to 5 stars. As a regular customer, this used to be my favorite Chipotle in the area, but since the new management and employees the food quality and portions have been terrible since a couple months ago. It's the little things that ruin the meal. Either a topping is on the far side of the bowl, or they don't drain out the beans/mild salsa water so the bowl has a puddle on the bottom, or the tortilla is crunchy, or they give no meat then charge extra if you ask for more (they'll add like 2 pieces of chicken if u want a little bit more) , or the burrito will just fall into pieces, or you'll find that hard chewy part in your chicken. Their old employees really used to make this the best Chipotle. Trust me. I live around the area and the Chipotle in Garden State Plaza surpassed this one. My new go to Chipotle is on RT 17 north near Upper Saddle River. I actually take the longer drive to visit this one for my lunch instead because of how terrible this Chipotle has become. read more

If you've never eaten at Chipotle, go there, go to any location. It is a fast food revelation- YES, fast food can be fresh, tasty and still efficient. They use organic meat...they have fresh salsa that don't taste like anything out of the jar from a grocery store...they have fresh everything! So they charge for guacamole- go to any pretentious NYC faux-authentic Tex-Mex or Mexican restaurant and drop $10 for guacamole to be made at the table. Suddenly, the rates at Chipotle don't seem that bad. If you've been to a Chipotle before, then brace yourselves...the line is short and the staff is attentive and efficient (mostly). This place gets busy FAST. Use your Phone and order ahead. I like the quality of the food, the flavor is on point, the process is simple. The assembly line creation of your order is fun to watch and I find it's fun for kids. I rec the steakritto with rice, sour cream and hot sauce. I keep it simple here. I am so unhappy with my visit here. While making my chicken burrito I was given barely any filling. I asked for a little extra, which was fine. When it came time to wrap my food baby the girl did a terrible job. I know this because when I went to pick it up to eat it when I got home, half the filling fell out. I was thrilled to learn that there was a Chipotle so close to my now office. I had experienced the magic that is Chipotle in Albany, NY (also close to my then office) and was hopeful in what the Paramus, NJ Chipotle had to offer. I know, I know...Chipotle is not a high end restaurant, so the expectation of service is not high. But come on, running out of ingredients at lunch hour?? Or, how about running out of forks and letting your customers wait for you to go back and dig through boxes to fetch you one? And I know that the employees at Chipotle aren't working off tips, but how about a "you're welcome" when someone says "thank you"? Both the cashier and the person who finally brought out some forks couldn't even utter a "welcome" when I said thanks. I wouldn't think to review Chipotle, but after going there a few times and being disappointed in the service (the employees have a poor attitude) and now being disappointed due to their lack of actually having ingredients and eating utensils, I felt the need to come here and say something. If you've never been to chipotle I would recommend playing it safe with a chicken burrito, but just about anything they offer there is fantastic and oh so filling. This is one of the few fast food chain restaurant where I am regular. Love the burrito bowl. You always have healthy choices like brown rice etc. Plus their fresh guacamole is just tasty. Its a good size joint. Being closer to mall it gets crowded. But the they a pretty good job in serving, even at the busiest hour. This was my first visit to a Chipotle. It was at 11:45am on a Saturday. Since you have to instruct the workers how you want it made, it was helpful reading tips online beforehand. Ordering was a bit tough because the acoustics of the building made every little noise, including those working in the back, so very amplified. The burrito that I ordered looked nothing like any burrito I've ever had. It was like biting into something the size of a small purse. I enjoyed my meal while listening to modern jazz music. I took half of the meal home to eat later. I do appreciate the opportunity to eat a burrito without cream cheese. read more

I used to love chipotle but lately, it's gone downhill. I placed 2 online orders this weekend and both times, my order was incorrect. Mistakes happen but twice in a row? Not likely. I ordered chips and a drink that I did not receive. I also asked for extra ingredients that I was not given. I regret ordering the chicken after discovering its not that great anymore. The workers in this location are very unhygienic. They cross contaminate & do not change gloves after wiping counter. At least in 2 different incidences the workers made my food right after wiping counter with the same gloves. Touch garbage & don't change gloves. Veg food & non veg food is touched with the same serving spoon. Veggie plate had pieces of meat in it. Overall I almost threw up twice after I ate their food.
