Such delicious Chinese food!! And the nicest kindest staff! Amazing sweet & sour chicken - the sauce is to die for! Highly recommend!

Good Chinese food in Milpitas! My party of four was promptly seated by the friendly waitress, and we didn't wait long for our food. The food came out great, with shareable portions. We'd especially recommend the mongolian beef and ma po tofu. 100% coming back to this spot!

I'd rate this a 3.5, but rounding up because the food was decent overall. BEEF FRIED RICE: Lots of wok hei and good flavor! They actually mince the beef, which I have never seen before but it makes so much more sense because the meat was seasoned well and each bite would likely have protein scooped with it. CHICKEN CHOW MEIN: Also had wok hei, however the ratio of veggies to noodles was disappointing. Otherwise, this would have been a winner too. SALT AND PEPPER FISH: The portion was a little smaller than we're used to from other establishments and a little over fried, but still not too bad. DRY SAUTEED STRING BEANS: I can't put my finger on the flavor, might be a little bit of Szechuan pepper as well as minced pork, but it was a nice change from regular garlic. Husband liked this a lot. Their food is a tad oily, but their flavors are good overall. We ordered for takeout and they were friendly upon pickup. Will return when we're in the area and craving Chinese.

After watching a movie at the Great Mall, we were craving chinese food for dinner. Yelp reviews led me to China Rose, reviewers said the food is tasty. When we arrived, there were two women playing a game at one table, and a man eating alone. We waited a few minutes, before one of the women, said pick a table. We sat ourselves. The ladies collected their things, one went behind the the counter, the other went in the back. The man later on, got up, and went in the back too. A young man came out with menus, and a hot pot of tea. The young man was friendly. I notice the spout on the tea pot looked black. I thought it was stained. After I served a cup, my son said please don't drink that tea. The young man came back and took our order, he was nice. We ordered Mongolian Beef, Lemon Chicken and Bbq Pork Chow Mein. The service was fast, and the food came out quickly, and we both thought it was tasty, and a good portion of food. Unfortunately, I have photographic evidence of poor food safety. My curiousity got the best of me at the end of our meal, and I used my napkin to rub the blacken tea spout, and it transferred onto the paper napkin. It made me question how clean it was in the back, were the food is handled. We had already eaten our share. The young man was hustling about bagging to-go orders. I got up to pay at the counter, but the young lady did not acknowledge me, she never looked up or made eye contact, and was behaving as if I was not standing in front of her. She actually started pounding on the calculator with her finger, like she was angry. Weird. The young man came out, took the calculator from her, and totalled up my order, never acknowledging her weird behavior. He was so nice, smiling, friendly. The vibe here is so off. Please check out my pictures of the teapot. The next day my tummy was fine, no sign of food contamination, but I will not eat here again.

This has been my go-to Chinese spot in Milpitas. The food is consistently excellent, and the restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating and ample parking. I usually place my orders by phone, and they're always punctual never had any issues. My favorite dishes are the broccoli with garlic and the shrimp fried with eggs. Highly recommend!

I continue to order from here.... Imperial spare ribs: bomb Scallops and minced meat in steamed egg: bomb Chicken with sizzling Rice soup: bomb Golden egg yolk scallops: just ok Shanghai sweet sour spareribs: bomb Coffee ribs: bomb Honestly there's not many authentic Chinese places where you can get 3 items and have it land $30-40 including seafood. The food is tasty and value can't be beat

Mango M.

Disappointment with the small portion of the honey walnut shrimp that was ordered. The fried vermicelli is missing as well as only 3 pieces of walnut were found. The price of this dish is $16.95 and it's not worth it with what's presented.

Excellent Claypot rice with salted fish & meat patty. Best in South Bay. The lotus Chinese cucumber veggie dish was above average. Prices are extremely reasonable. It's a family run restaurant with very friendly wait staffs.

I know it's cheap but this is really the worst chow fun I ever have in my life, it has no taste and the noodles just sad.

As for food, $30 for three entrees, plus a container of rice and soup? Unbeatable prices! Good flavors, can't tell if there's MSG or not but I didn't feel like they use it or much of it, since it's not noticeable with my usual symptoms after msg consumption. (Not feeling tired nor thirsty). Portions her is a little smaller compared to other places. But you get what you pay. As for service, I won't even rate it... Put it that way, I'm happy with my take out food orders. Parking is easy and food is ready in a timely manner each time. Will keep coming when need something fast to go.

Not greasy at all, which is where a lot of places lose me. The BBQ combo platter (crispy roast pork +roast duck) is the other must-order. The siu yuk skin had that proper shattering crunch with juicy meat underneath, and the roast duck was silky with lightly crispy skin. Both dipping sauces on point. The clay pot chicken came out bubbling on its warmer, with red onion and scallion in a savory, slightly sweet glaze with salted meat -- great over rice. And the string beans with pork cheek had real wok hei, blistered beans with caramelized edges, not steamed-and-sauced like the lazy version. Portions are generous, everything came out hot, and this is exactly the kind of cooking that tastes like a family kitchen doing it right. Would come back for the fish fillet and the roast pork alone. They served sweet bean soup after dinner. Service was quick and ambiance is bright and causal.

The crown daisy and mushroom salad was exquisitely refreshing. The spicy stir fried squid will leave you salivating for more. And the braised beef noodle soup with the mustard green topping (please add the topping, it's worth it) was the perfect addition to wash everything down. This is one of those spots that make you think, "Gosh... Should I come again tomorrow?" Because it's that good. The staff was also super attentive. They made an effort to ensure our table had everything we needed to comfortably share the meals and topped off our cups with their fruit infused water every chance they got. There's a reason why there's a line out the door within the first hour of the day (for me that was a Saturday haha). So get there early to snag that table! Unique but loved the crispiness in every bite with the added softness from the rice cake. I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Overall great experience and would give this spot a try again!

The crowd was an interesting mix, with plenty of diners in their late 50s and 60s alongside a younger crowd. What We Ordered: * BBQ Pork Bun: This was probably the one item I'd skip. It was perfectly fine, but nothing particularly memorable and no better than what you'd find at an average dim sum restaurant. * Marinated Beef Rice Noodle: A solid dish. The rice noodles were wonderfully smooth and slippery, with a generous amount of beef. The lettuce was a nice touch, adding a bit of freshness and crunch to balance out the soft textures. * Pork Liver Rice Noodle: My absolute favorite of the meal! Pork liver is notoriously difficult to cook well because it can so easily become tough or overcooked. This was done beautifully -- tender, perfectly cooked, and without that unpleasant rubbery texture. I'd come back just for this dish. *Fried Dough Rice Roll: This was as expected. Dough was crispy and rice roll was smooth. If you are a fan of this dish it won't disappoint. * Iced Soy Milk: Not overly sweet, with a nice, pronounced soy bean flavor. If you enjoy traditional soy milk rather than the overly sweetened versions, this is worth ordering. * Pork and Preserved Egg Congee: Comforting and well executed. The congee was silky smooth, with the consistency you'd expect from something that's been slowly cooked for a long time. The pork pieces were generously sized, and the preserved egg chunks were substantial enough to get a good taste in every few bites. Overall: There are definitely a few dishes worth coming back for, especially the pork liver rice noodles. The crowd and steady line suggest this place has built a loyal following, and after trying the congee and rice noodles, I can understand why. I'd skip the BBQ pork bun and focus on the rice noodle dishes and congee. The chairs were also on the small side so can be uncomfortable if you are taller or on the large side.

We also enjoyed the salt and pepper fish, Salty Fish Chicken with Eggplant Clay Pot, and chow fun. The menu has a great variety, and I was happy to see onion pancakes. The only dish we weren't sure about was the salt and pepper pork, which came out red, not what we expected. The woman serving us was helpful and patient. She got a little confused when we asked to split the bill, so one person paid and the rest of us sent him our shares. A cat also kept wandering into the restaurant, which was unexpected! So For all the noodle dishes you can choose any type you want and they have like 8 different types! Most Chinese noodle houses don't have enough portion of meat in their noodles even the ones that are supposed to have meat so I do appreciate that. Tomato beef noodle soup- OMG that broth was so tasty I was just drinking it straight up. The braised beef delicious and generally fairly tender. I took my leftover broth to go and made my own noodles for it the next day. Spicy Crawfish noodles- Got these with thin flat noodles. Sauce was delicious. Generous amounts of crawfish. This is one of the restaurants where you order and pay for everything on your phone. Food started arriving only 10 minutes after ordering which was great! First they brought out our cold dish, Spicy Pig Ears. Thick slices of pic ears with lots of raw onions and chili oil. Very heavy on the oil but the pig ears were cooked perfectly. Usually I prefer when pig ears are sliced very thin, but I actually really enjoyed this thickness. Next, our Vegetable Chow Mein with Wide Flat Noodles and the String Beans with Eggplant arrive. Both dishes were piping hot and the noodles were impressively long. Easily the longest and widest handmade noodles I've ever had. The sauce on the chow mein was very light and honestly needed a more flavorful sauce but I couldn't complain because of how intrigued I was with just the noodles. The eggplant and string beans were super flavorful and still had a bite to them. We also ordered the Dry Spicy Beef Noodle. This was honestly very disappointing. It was quite bland and pretty much just oil. The green onion pancakes also came out with this noodle dish. Not exciting but also not bad. They were also a bit too greasy for me. We asked for hot tea to have with our meal to continue to be able to eat it. I did really appreciate that they had very spacious booths. And there was plenty of room between each of the tables so you aren't hitting elbows with other tables. The wall decor was gorgeous by our booth. Each booth had a unique wooden wall which distracted me for a bit when we sat down.
