I am struggling to give this place 1 star. First off, I didn't realize this place is cash only. That should have been a signal to turn around walk out. The ladies working there were too busy talking to each other to realize we were ready to order. We had to say something several times to get their attention. I ordered the 2 items combo of chicken and green beans and chicken with mushroom with half rice and half chow mein . This also came with an eggroll and a teeny tiny soda for $11.99 We decided to eat there. Ended up the tables were dirty we had to get napkins to wipe them down. When we opened the bag, the sodas leaked all over the place. As for the food, it was mostly chow mein and rice, Not much of the 2 main items. The food did not have much flavor adding soy sauce helped a little. The sweet and sour was more on the sour side. I ended up throwing out my leftovers, which is rare for me. Okay, so it has been awhile since I stopped by here. This place has always been one of my favorites, but it is not that close to me. Today, I was fortunate enough to go by there and so glad that I did. Well, unfortunately...I did not receive the famous "eggshell in the rice" although that's what I was looking forward to. I ended up getting the 2 combo piece that exceeded expectations beyond measure. The chow mein and fried rice stacked and cooked to perfection. This place used to be the BEST! Everything was good. The fried chicken was one of my favorites. Over time the chicken has lost ALL of its flavor. It's even 7 shades lighter due to the lack of seasoning. The chow mien has gained a lot more grease than ever. The rice is over fried. Beef broccoli more watery and lacking beef. Even the friendly faces behind the counter are gone. It's not the worst Chinese food place or anything but it's highly disappointing compared to how good it all use to be. The line doesn't even go outside the door anymore like it use to so I guess I'm not the only one who feels this way.
