I've been to China Cafe several times and I love it. The food is excellent, my favorites plates are the sesame chicken and the sweet and sour chicken from the combinations menu, which comes with fried rice, a spring roll and 1 chicken wing and a fortune cookie. Everytime I'm there no one else is... so ambience it's very quiet, but it's also a very busy restaurant cause there are a lot of people coming to get online orders. The cashier is always very nice and polite. I highly recommend this place!

Sweet and sour chicken with white rice. Sauce on the side.

Delicious food, prompt and polite service. The pork fried rice was tasty and the fried chicken was tasty and crispy. The sweet and white chicken was also really delicious and the white rice was light and fluffy. We will be back for sure. Very easy to order through their website online and pick up in store.

Kung pao chicken had large vegetable pieces and not substantial amounts of chicken. No peanuts in the dish which is odd, when several area Chinese restaurants have peanuts in their kung pao. The fried rice had no hardly any veggies like peas or carrots. Mostly rice and bits of chicken. Serviceable but wouldn't go out of my way for it.

I had a hankering for some Chinese food and ordered take out here. I went with the vegetable lo mein and some hot and sour soup. The hot and sour soup was okay. Not bad. However, the vegetable lo mein was very over cooked and just not up to par at all. I was very disappointed in the dish and ended up throwing it out. Apparently they have a lunch buffet here during the week. Also, waiting for my food in the dining room was like torture. I haven't seen a place so badly in need of an update/remodel/throw the whole place away. I mean, you got wallpaper from who-knows-when peeling off, it's dark and dank, and it was stifling hot in there. Just old, dilapidated booths and carpet and I was ret ta go!!! I can't go back. Goodbye. Forever.

Jumbo fried shrimp and shrimp fried rice. This rice use to be soon bomb! Today it wasn't.

Stopped in today for my usual shrimp fried rice spicy. I also ordered the fried jumbo shrimp. I was given tarter sauce with the shrimp. Today my rice didn't taste as fresh, it looked good but the delicious taste I'm use to wasn't there. I asked for cocktail sauce explaining that it was a red sauce like ketchup. The waitress went inside the kitchen and came back with a younger guy who had a lil attitude when explaining all that they had was tarter, blue cheese, ranch or sweet and sour. I calmly said well that's OK. He just didn't seem happy about having to come out. He said it in a mean way. I know this is more of a takeout place but I sat and received table service I think that's what pissed them off too. The service wasn't as kind as other times. I felt rushed and they all seemed irritated. I also believe the picture taking of my food pissed them off. Makes me wonder what they are hiding. I won't be returning I use to really love this place.

    "Orange" Chicken

Ordered orange chicken and this restaurant literally sent up fried up chicken and thicken orange juice on the side. Sauce literally smelt and tastes like orange juice.

Some of the furniture were stained/coming apart, the restroom was littered with trash/did not have paper towels. We opted for the SESAME CHICKEN + KUNG PAO CHICKEN + PAN FRIED PAO PORK. The sesame chicken was not crispy fried and the sauce was very sweet. The kung pao chicken was a taste that I've never had in this dish ... sweet with a little bit of spice. The pan fried dumplings were okay as well- not the best I've had but okay. In general, this was an okay food stop but I do not see myself driving purposely over here to eat.

We tried the soup dumplings, which didn't have as much broth as expected, and a chicken and shrimp dish that was supposed to be spicy but came out tasting pretty sweet instead. When we mentioned it to our server, they offered chili oil, which was nice, but I would've preferred to experience the dish as it was intended. The interior is simple and it works fine as a spot for a quick bite. That said, I was specifically craving solid Szechuan flavors, and there are definitely better options nearby if that's what you're looking for. But worth a try if you're in the area or as takeout food too!

We were greeted quickly at both the door and table. For a dumpling house, there weren't that many options for dumplings. We order two types of dumplings, a noodle dish and an entree on recommendation of the staff. The pork soup dumplings were very soupy on the inside and had a good flavor. The pan fried bao dumplings were alright but morning to write home about; I thought the bun to filling ratio was good for a bao though. For noodles we got the house rice noodles. I typically don't order this but I thought it was really well done with a good ratio of ingredients and flavor. Lastly we ordered the sales egg pork ribs. They were cut to bite size pieces but that's deceptive since they were bone in. Some pieces were all bone and some all meat. While the flavor was good, some might call it dry and the cut made it difficult to eat. While the seasoning for all the dishes were flavorful, I thought the salt was a little heavy. Overall the restaurant was clean with a semi modern decor. The staff were all friendly and tried to be helpful throughout the visit. I'd give it a try if you're in the neighborhood.

Overall, we were impressed with their service and food preparation more than the food itself, all the dishes were good, but no dish stands out to my expectations for a Michelin Bib Gourmand, so the price as well. Here was our experience: Appetizer-Signature Salted Chicken: the skin was crispy; we ordered Steamed Pork Dumplings outside of regular menu, it's so so; main dish - Mapo Tofu W. Minced Pork: taste good, tofu was very soft; Stir-Fried Pork Belly with Green Pepper: pork part was good, pepper was on the raw side, not matching the pork; soup - Tofu and Veggies Duck bone Soup: taste diluted with more water; Desert - Peach Gummies with Tremella: cold and smooth. I feel like to give 3 and half stars, but 4 stars anyway.

We started with the Fuqi Feipian, which was on the salty side but otherwise pretty standard. The Seafood Shark Fin Soup was surprisingly bland, as if no salt had been added. We had to add red vinegar just to bring out some flavor, and it could have used more white pepper and seasoning overall. Next was the stir-fried squid with vegetables (I forgot the exact name). It included scallions, taro strips, and red peppers, but the taste was fairly average. The sweet and sour pork (Lychee Pork) was close to the Fujian-style flavor I'm familiar with, though the sauce was a bit light and not as tangy or sweet as expected. We also ordered the seafood fried rice noodles, which were very mild in flavor and lacked wok hei. It felt under-seasoned, almost like the seasoning was forgotten again. One standout dish was the red fermented rice pork intestines with snow peas, a classic Fujian specialty. The red fermented rice flavor really came through, and this dish was definitely worth supporting. The crispy roast duck was another highlight--crispy skin, juicy meat, and served with steamed pancakes, shredded cucumber, scallions, and sweet bean sauce. Very satisfying in every bite. The restaurant also offered complimentary orange slices at the end, which was a nice touch. Portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and overall it was a fairly filling meal.
