Got take-out, but they weren't taking COVID seriously at all. Servers and bartenders weren't wearing masks, and indoor seating was completely packed. Was hesitant to eat the food - if they don't even make their staff wear masks how could you trust the kitchen is sanitary and staff wash their hands? Based totally on staff and phone service and property as we didn't stay to try. Their website said they were open at four. They weren't. We called and they said they would be open at 430. I promise the effort to find a parking spot is worth it! If it's after hours you can park in the spots that belong to the business next door and you'll be fine. They have corn hole boards out back in a back yard type area where you can wait for your table. Great for kids. My wife and I come here a couple times a year from out of state. The food is amazing and tonight was no different. The wings were smoked perfectly. The oyster Po'boy was expertly fried. Oysters were nice and soft in the middle. We did have some issues tonight. When we went in to the hostess stand the place was packed! Normally, this would be good, but there is a pandemic going on and there was not a mask in sight. We asked if we could be seated outdoors. The hostess enthusiastically said "Sure!" We were the only people out there and it was apparent they were not that interested in waiting on us. After getting appetizers and margueritas, I ordered a sandwich. The waitress looked at me and said "To go?" While nodding her head. We should have left then but we stayed and unfortunately just didn't feel welcome. She also came back later and said " Are you done?" I might mention this was at 7:00 and they don't close until 10:00. We won't return. read more

Since Mexican food is by far my favorite it was almost mandatory that I try Chilli Pepper's since it was a couple blocks from the house we were renting. The chips and salsa are yummy, but not complimentary as they are in most Mexican restaurants. I was greeted by a 20-something year old young lady that didn't seem to like her job. She was short in words and had a bit of an attitude. She took my to go order and I didn't see her again until it was ready. I did have the chance to encounter another young lady whom asked if I needed anything and she helped redeem my opinion a little about the customer service. Now for the food, it wasn't the worst I have ever had. But it did leave me disappointed. Another reviewer mentioned it is a Tex-Mex place. But I disagree. I think it's a wannabe West Coast Mex meets Tex-Mex (trying to look healthy). Still not sure what kind of "gravy" was on the enchiladas. The rice had no flavor, it wasn't West Coast or Tex-Mex. More like Chinese restaurant. Overall it wasn't a great experience. And I can't imagine going back. read more

I guess I just had a bad experience. I ordered the grill marinated chicken sandwich. Looked good, but the chicken was as tough as eating a hockey puck. I managed to eat the edge of the sandwich, but the rest was inedible. Fries were so-so and coleslaw was comparable to KFC, salty and no real cabbage flavor.
