One of the few places open for dinner in January. If we hadn't visited on our last night we would've definitely been back again before the week was up. The two ladies seemed to have a lot of pride in their food! Chipotle chicken flavor was AMAZING and the food was cooked to order, fresh and Hot! The only reason I gave it a four and not a five was because with only one other group in restaurant it was very loud, and thus a TV or music or some type of a background noise would have made it more pleasurable.

$5.99 Ground Beef Taco special with chips & Queso

Best Mexican restaurant in OBX. The food is fresh and the service is friendly and fast. They have a special with three ground beef tacos & a drink for $5.99. Huge chicken burritos & delicious chips with queso. They also have made to order hot churros for dessert.

My boyfriend & I ordered the fish burrito and added all the veggies and it was so good I went inside myself. Overall experience was sexual. My tongue was constantly in a pure state of nirvana. 12 stars.

simple chicken nachos, I only get the tasty, seasoned and cooked perfectly chicken with black beans and queso!

The best and freshest quick Mexican spot! Definitely one of my favs. Restaurant is always clean. A must try when in Nags Head .

Steak tacos and a chicken taco salad

A nice nook in the OBX for some nice authentic Mexican food. I enjoyed the chicken taco salad bowl but there was definitely too much lettuce in the bottom of it. My friends enjoyed the soft tacos but it wasn't super amazing. The price was definitely reasonable for the experience and taste.

Great spot, been going here for years and years. Try the steak tacos and the regular ground beef tacos. They are the best!

The food is so good and fresh every time. Not your traditional Mexican restaurant, but worth every penny. We love it!

Long wait for takeout; mediocre, cold food. Yelp would like me to add more, but there's not much else to say.

Reminded me of cafeteria food. I could've made better at home but the straw that broke the camels back is it made my daughter sick.

Great food and service in bright, sunny restaurant which is modern with a beachy feel…read more Dined here for lunch and was very happy with the meal. I had the blackened mahi-mahi BLT sandwich which was perfectly cooked and served with over a pound of french fries. Not going to lie; the fries were fantastic. Nicely seasoned and not greasy. I ended up eating the mahi open-faced to avoid spilling on myself but the fish, tomato slice and lettuce were all delicious. It also came with a crisp pickle spear. My wife got the ceasar salad and added a skewer of blackened shrimp. The shrimp were tasty but could have stood a little more spice. They have a nice wine selection including a good selection available by the glass. Also a nice beer selection with some local/NC beers on tap. I observed all of the staff being very friendly and helpful to patrons throughout the restaurant. I will definitely be back and looking forward to trying it for dinner.

Love, love, love Blue Moon Beach Grill!…read more This is always on our list of regulars to hit on the OBX every time we go. In the last year or two they've moved to a much larger building (which was very much needed because they're so popular). Parking can be tight depending on what time you go, but GO! This new location has a second floor! They have daily specials, though I'll always get the fried oysters if they're available. I and my family and friends have always loved anything we get here - delicious! BMBG is family-owned, and you can tell -- the service is top notch. At the front door they have a large selection of BMBG apparel -- take some of Blue Moon home with you! While there, check out the fantastic fireplace made of oyster shells -- I took a picture for you.

I guess the Rockfish tacos were a daily special, so I ordered the "World Famous" Mahi tacos while Ms T ordered a crabcake sandwich. I think we were both a little disappointed. Her sandwich was definitely for bun lovers. She tore off enough bread for another sandwich and still had plenty. Restaurants are often guilty of conflating a huge bun with good sandwich. She was not particularly impressed with the crab cake, saying it was overloaded with thyme. I ordered my Mahi "blackened" and it really was not. The seasonings were good although also heavy with thyme. The flour tortillas were of poor quality, very thin and leathery and not provided hot. Hence the tacos were room temperature when eaten. I liked the finely shredded cheese that was not served refrigerator cold. The white sauce they serve is just wrong for these tacos. It is too sweet, too tart, making it harsh. Instead, I used the sauce that came with her crab cake and that was much better. Finally the mahi was very dry. I guess that is kind of the way that mahi is, but this really needed plenty of sauce. Kudos to them for serving good jasmine rice. This was not as good as we remembered. It is OK, not great and could be improved with just a few changes. We should have tried the burgers.
