I originally posted this review 2 weeks ago, but I didn't do the stars. Definitely 5 stars! We stopped in after a day at the beach for drinks and an appetizer. We were the only four people there, but our server, Leanne, was fantastic. She was very friendly & attentive, and the drinks she made were fantastic. We got the crab dip and it was delicious. We've been to other places where if you're only getting an appetizer and drinks they aren't as accommodating, but the staff was excellent. We've will definitely be back for dinner! read more

Bright, clean, and rather tightly packed in a small space, this was nicer than what I think of as a "tavern", with tables set with wine and water glasses. The menu well supported our 8 diners mix of fish-lovers and those less-so. The service was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The servings were generous. All 8 raved out their dinner, and several had doggy bags at the end. You won't leave hungry. There was a good drink menu. This is a gem in the northern outer banks. Highly recommended! read more

My family and I decided to give them a try. It's very small and seating is tight. We had 4 adults and 2 kids (ages 10 and 12). The kids were charged adult prices for their spaghetti when they ordered themselves and clearly pointed to the kids section on the menu. Almost $50 for two spaghetti's-- that's double the kids price. That made me half sick when I looked at the bill. Then we were charged 20% gratuity because we had a group of 6. OMG, two of them were children!!!!! We tip very well when we go out. I don't have a problem with tipping. I have a problem being charged that amount of a tip when we were charged the wrong price to begin with because the kids were given adult spaghetti's and not the kids and because they ate them, we couldn't have the kids pricing. How was I to know they were given the wrong portion/meal when we've never been there before. Needless to say, we will never be back. It's completely overpriced for what you get. read more

This place is small with only a few tables so we weren't sure we were going to get in because there was a large group there. Fortunately, they had outdoor seating available and we were promptly seated. Our waitress was very knowledgeable, friendly, and answered any questions we had about the food. She told us she was Jamaican and that the food had a Caribbean flare in regard to taste. When the crab dip came out, we were pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was, and covered with a great crust of broiled cheese. The crab dip was below the cheese, and was a nice sized portion, and tasted excellent, with nice chunks of crab meat and good flavor. Our main course was a very generous portion and came out quickly. Our waitress was so attentive and made sure everything came out hot, correct, and in a reasonable amount of time. As you can see in the photos, the food looked delicious and we were NOT disappointed when we got to dig in. The crab cakes were loaded with chunks of crab and little filling. The salad was cold and crisp, and complimented the crab cake nicely. The burrata cheese deliciously dressed the penne ala vodka and made a symphony of flavor on the tongue. We were too full to try dessert, but will definitely be back to try their other dishes! Highly recommended!! read more

We had a spectacular time at Seanna Tavern! We had great service. The food was amazing and came out just how we wanted.

Pros: Made last minute reservations for our party of 5. Staff was friendly and efficient. The menu had some interesting options. Cons: the food was overall not good. The burrata app. I have no idea what the concept was other than not good. Mozzarella sticks tastes frozen. I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken; Chicken inedible. Husband had a crab cake. No real visible crab. Chicken parm, Nope. One in our party liked his seafood pasta. We had two bottles of Pinot Gris. Good, not bad price point but not chilled. read more

Food was descent. Our server was good. The pricing seemed a bit high for what the actual restaurant overall product was.

Small intimate location with a very family friendly vibe! They are more than willing to accommodate any request, & all of the staff is very friendly! (Interestingly enough, the butter noodles were deemed "best of my whole life" by our 7-year old!..hah). We loved our lunch there so much that we returned for dinner the next day! Both meals were TOP NOTCH! And surprisingly, they were not booked for an hour wait like so many other places. In terms of price and portions, very good on both, got the calamari and shrimp scampi and both were amazing and not expensive. Would recommend if you need a nice place to eat out, also has a good decor gives off an expensive look. read more

Our waitress was very slow and rude. She did not serve us in a timely manner and instead decided to sit down on her phone. They also told us that it was very busy, however there were only a couple tables full. The waitress also did not care that my friend had a serious allergy. read more

The service was perfectly fine, not overbearing but a little less present than most places just due to being seated outside. The food and drinks were all right on the edge of being really good, but the seasoning was what threw it off. Everything was overly salted, but under seasoned in other regards, so while the dishes were cooked well, they tasted quite salty but bland. The presentation of everything was beautiful, particularly the drinks, but they tasted honestly like straight liquor, not so much the tropical mix ins we were expecting. Overall, while nothing was bad, nothing really stood out as great, especially considering it's on the pricey side. read more

We had the opportunity to speak with the owner, Anna, during our visit yesterday. She was very gracious and kind. The food was excellent, my only comment would be that the crab spaghetti is delicious but a little too spicy for me, but a little notation on the menu on the spice level would be helpful so diners know what they are getting. Great atmosphere and delicious food and a wonderful server (I regretfully do not recall her name) made it a really great experience. Highly recommend. read more

Seanna Tavern is a small bar that serves lunch and dinner. Not a place for a quiet evening, small tables and plenty of them make conversation challenging. Food is priced as a fine dining establishment. Interesting no bread is offered as is typical for such a restaurant. Food was good although the crab spaghetti was so rich it did not settle right with me, but that could be me. Service was pleasant and attentive. read more

We just finished our dinner at Seanna Tavern and in our group of 5 every single one of us loved all of our dishes. The lobster linguine was amazing, the crab dip was loaded with crab meat, and the calamari was super fresh and not overly fried and breaded like most places. All the food in general tasted fresh and we all agreed this was not your average beach restaurant that just pushes out reheated frozen food just to turn over tables. Everything tasted well crafted. The drinks were all delicious and the presentation was top notch. And most importantly, the service was amazing. The staff is all very attentive and has a family feel where everyone helps out. The restaurant isn't huge so make sure you call for reservations, but I definitely recommend and would come back again. read more

Appears to have just opened. Food was excellent, but I do recommend not mixing in the crab in the spaghetti so much. People want to know they ate it! My Truffle Gnocchi was scrumptious but would have benefitted from some more meat added. But to have run out of Chardonnays - and your cheaper bottles of Pinot Grigio? - And the next most expensive Pinot was double at $60? No one could run out to the store and get more Chard? Atmosphere, both music and decor, were extremely pleasant and the new waitress was sweet, but no Chard is hard to come back from! Good luck in the future. read more
