Went with friend last night and sat in bar area. Service was terrible! People at bar received attention, but at tables had to flag down waiters. Appetizers came out quick, but could not order more food for lack of attention. Yes, there were waiters in bar area, bu kept disappearing. Took 90 minutes to get drinks refills. Would have left, but watching baseball. At one point we were only ones at tables in bar and still no service. Would have had full meals and drinks, but no one seemed to care. Restaurant was only half full and no excuse as plenty of staff, we just could not get anyone's attention. Won't go back. Shame as months ago this used to be one of our favorite places. read more

I'm giving 5 stars for our server tonight, Stephanie. We came during a dinner rush and it seemed like they were short staffed due to large areas not being seated at all. We waited 20 minutes like the hostess said, they apologized for the wait even though it didn't exceed what they told us. Once Stephanie came to our table she had a huge smile and was so helpful making sure to ask about each of our orders. Since we skipped on meat she was making sure that all other toppings were ok which may seem small but it means a lot when your family is full of vegetarians! Lol. She was extremely attentive for it being so busy and the smile never left her face. She didn't rush us or falter once. I regret not leaving the survey but I hope the manager sees this. Yesterday I went to Chili's for a business meeting. There were three of us in our party and we were seated right away. We sat at a booth and the atmosphere was great. The waitress wearing a staff/team trainer shirt came right over and quickly took our order. We ordered our lunch and within 10 minutes we were being served. We all ordered salads and I also ordered chicken enchilada soup to go with my salad. Everything is tasting good until I was halfway through the bowl of soup and bit down on something hard!!! A CHICKEN BONE. How does a chicken bone get into the soup when it's pre made soup and the chicken pieces are cubed? Rather than making a big deal about it I just stopped eating my soup and waited for the waitress to check on us. When she did I explained I had a chicken bone in my soup and I showed it to her. It was sizable about an inch to an inch and a half long. She quickly offered me a new bowl of soup. LOL (Are you kidding me!!! ) I politely said no thank you. She then said OK sorry about what happened and started to walk away. I stopped her and said would you please just tell your manager know what happened so they are aware of the problem. My coworkers finished their lunch and we left maybe 15 minutes after I spoke with the waitress. No one ever offered an apology or a refund. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! read more

The worst experience I have ever experienced at a restaurant. It was my boyfriend's birthday so before hitting old town Temecula we decided to get a quick bite. It was not very busy for a Friday evening so we got sat pretty quickly at a table, there were 6 of us in total. The waitress that sat us down was nice. We asked to be moved to a large booth that we had seen on the other side of the restaurant, she said yeah that should be fine let me go check really quick. A different lady came back with big time attitude saying that it would be another 20-30 minutes. We were fine with it. And my boyfriend being the jokester that he is tried to crack a joke. Apparently she didn't find it very funny at all and starts off by saying that if we're ordering drinks that he wouldn't be served, assuming that he was intoxicated which he most certainly was not. Then she goes off and says that she will not be putting up with him. Like is that really how you talk to your customers?! So we ask to speak to the manager and apparently she was the manager! Sam should really not be working in customer service. I'm not sure if she might have been having a bad day or she was just fed up with her work day but either way that is no way to speak to a customer, especially after not having done anything to deserve that. read more

He made a few suggestions while we perused the selections available on tap. A large Stella and Dos XX ran $6 each, not bad. I decided to share the 2/$20 deal with my my date. We opted for the chips with guac as our appetizer. Our main entrees were the grilled chicken salad, and the 6oz sirloin. The sirloin was surprisingly tasty and needed no extra seasoning or sauce. I ordered my steak medium rare, and it actually came out that way! Most places like Chilis have a tendency to overcook the meat, and have no idea what the difference is between medium rare and well done. +1 star for cooking and seasoning the steak properly. +1 star for Jimmy, who never let my glass get empty and could keep up with the witty banter. read more

Went for lunch today because the usual spot that I go to wasn't taking online orders (damn you Panera!). I found a Lighter Side steak item for just under 300 calories which is exactly what I need. I placed the order online and when I got there I was informed that my steak had been sitting out for about 40 min and was cold. The Asian guy at the front (Brandon?..) asked me if I had time for them to make me a new one. It only took about 10 min to make and it was pretty good. I was really impressed with the staff and their ability to be proactive and resolve something that could have potentially been an issue. He even offered me something to drink while I waited. However, I visited tonight with my two friends and got service right away from our waitress Krista who was very kind and knew the origin of Chili's name on the spot when asked by my friend. We received our food quickly from Andre who has to be one of the funniest people I have met. I wish I could give this experience higher then a 5 star rating! If I never went to a Chili's again, that would be perfect with me. It is beyond me why this place was crowded. Even for generic American fare, this disappointed. My husband got the ribs, which were dry and overcooked, and the grilled shrimp-way too much seasoning and rubbery(again, overcooked). My daughter and I got their "tacos", one shrimp, one chicken... They should just call them wraps and forget the "taco" angle. Even at that, the seasoning was off by a mile. Service was fine. They need to re-think the menu and retrain the cooks. read more

I used to adore Chili's! The husband would get so bored of always going there....and then for some reason over the past couple of years, it has become a fast food joint with high prices! They changed every dish I loved into a smaller, cheaper version, which I now can't stand, and the last three times we went in the service was sooooo horrid. The second to last time, I broke down and complained and they gave me a giftcard to "give them one more chance." So, we did. And we even drove to the one off Cal Oaks, just to be fair. Needless to say, our waitress came to greet us after about ten minutes, never refilled our drinks, and seemed put out when I asked her for a fork for my salad. Chili's, turn down the volume of salt in the food, please! The menu at chili's is vast but so is the canyon of salt they use to cook with. I can go on and on all day about the level of salt in their food. Why do they need to make everything so salty? A hamburger is delicious on its own merits, is it not? A chicken breast sandwich with all the topics taste great, doesn't it? So why all the salt? I guess it is to mask the quality of the meat they use. I am not sure but what ever the reason please stop. Let me try and get off the topic of overly salted food and get to something more important. Flimsy nacho chips! Why? Chips and Salsa are one of the best things Mexican culture has ever given us. It is an attack on their culture to create meager chips and watery salsa. Your guacamole should be given a name change and just be called "Pale Green Stew". I can't say everything is bad. The servers have always been helpful. Especially now that you can pay with the on table kiosk. The drinks are good, the kind with alcohol of course. If you need a cheap place to drink with some co-workers or a night out with the friends, this is a good spot. I would have given it one star but I do like the appetizer menu. This Chili's has become the date-night spot for me and my boyfriend and we're always pleased with the service. We have gone at a lot of different times and don't ever have trouble finding a seat at the bar, although Saturday night is usually last on our list because we don't like the wait. Service at the bar is always fast and efficient. We love Jimmy and Matt, they are great bartenders that know their stuff, give us all the options and prices in advance, and make great drinks! We get to the patio part and the male hostess says he will be back with something to clean the tables, after about 5 minutes of standing outside someone comes to get our drink orders. This was my first time at this Chili's in this location and I have to say I was very disappointed. My waitress was Amanda B. (I saved the receipt specifically for this). I am not trying to single this person out, but my experience was truly unacceptable. I'm not sure what was going on with her, but she was either UNDER THE INFLUENCE or HIGH. I am not joking either. She would come to my friends and my table and she would place items on the table we didn't order and we didn't ask for. She continued to do so throughout the whole time we were there. She would also randomly laugh and was kinda dragging around. She was really slow and did not come to our table frequently, which disappointed me even more.
