Chili's - Bars Near Me - Sebring, Florida

My family and I chose to eat at the location in Sebring, FL. Knowing that it is a holiday (Father's Day) we called three days in advance to make a reservation with the restaurant so that they would be prepared for our visit. The reason for our families visit to the restaurant is that we were coming from the funeral of our father who had passed away unexpectedly. When we arrived at the restaurant, the hostess kept telling us it would be another 10-15 minutes. We eventually asked for the manager (Janice) who told us that Chili's does not take reservations on holidays and that they have no record of any reservations. We showed her the text message that we received from chili's reservation system confirming the reservation and asking us to notify the restaurant if we wanted to cancel. Her response was that she didn't realize that's how they worded the texts for the call ahead seating. The restaurant has told us that we can continue to wait for another group that they took as a walk in to be served and finish eating, we can split up our family and eat at separate tables, or we can look for alternate accommodations. My family and I eat at Chillies in Sebring Fl alot, tonight was the absolute worst we waited 30 min. for the waiter to take our order, He was to busy talking to everyone, and than another hr for our food to come out we didn't even get the appetizers until food came out some even after, you could tell the food had been sitting there for awhile. Everyone around us was getting up and walking out. Nobody came and told us what was going on we would ask for stuff it would take like 15+ min if they even remembered to bring it out. Absolute worst. No discount, nobody apologized, the manager or waiter did not let anyone know what was going on. All we wanted was for someone to tell us what was going on. read more

Do not waste your time or money at this Chili's. We had previously had a bad experience with a delivery order where they forgot half of the order. This time we decided to try Chili's ToGo. After checking in, we waited for 10 minutes past the promised order time. While we waited, an employee was in the parking lot have a loud verbal altercation with a Door Dash driver. After they went back inside, I followed to try to get our food. The employee and the Door Dash driver were still arguing. When the argument ended, the employee (the only employee present) walked into the kitchen, leaving 4 customers who had come in to try to get their food. I found my order sitting on the counter getting cold. I started to grab it when a different employee came out and said I couldn't just pick up my order. So I gave him my name which was on the order and he finally let me have our food. The food had obviously been sitting out for sometime because it was completely cold. The worst. Today was the second time we decided to give Chili's another chance. We had been regulars for years. But once again we walk in and find table after table covered in dirty dishes and glasses. When we asked the host at the door for a table in the bar area, he once again...same as last time...stated that we had to wait for the tables to be cleaned. Did he offer to help out with that? No. He just stood there. The server walked by but did she pick up any of the dishes as she walked back to the kitchen? Multiple times? No. The management needs to be replaced and staff needs to be trained on working together as a team. The host/hostess needs to step up and help. And as I've been saying for years: get a bus person to clear tables. How hard is it to carry dishes back to the kitchen each time you go that way?! So dissatisfied with how it's being run. I know the challenges, but help yourself. You're losing business letting tables sit dirty without paying guests. We'd like to keep Chili's open, but at this rate, you'll be closed soon. Loads of wait. Chili's doesn't have enough staff to operate the whole restaurant so expect to wait when you arrive and watch other people eat. Sometimes you can sit at the bar and still get service, other times they don't even have staff for the bar... Drink specials are plentiful and if you stop there you'd doing well. Most of fried food is very good. The salads are really weak and come on a flat plate ( not a bowl ) with very little lettuce or veggies. Had Southwest Chicken soup and a special margarita (pomegranate?). Both were good. Restaurant is very dirty. The floor needs a good professional cleaning. Stood at hostess stand a little too long, perhaps staff member doing double duty. She finally seated us but did not greet us or barely look us in the eye when seating us. Food arrived quickly and waitress was nice but tough to get her attention to get napkins. There were piles of dirty dishes on the tables. I wanted to leave due to the cleanliness, but friend suggested it and based on our choice to have soup and a margarita, figured I would tolerate it. I ordered curbside pickup and paid online with my order. I received a text saying that my food would be ready in 25 minutes. Once my daughter arrived, we texted the number back And said "here", as instructed. The waitress that came out stated that my daughter needed to pay. My daughter explained that it was paid online to which waitress replied there's no payment. It took 20 minutes for the manager to figure out that we already paid for the food. I got curb side here yesterday and among their sins: 1) Gave me the wrong salad dressing for my salad 2) no napkins or eating utensils, which I discovered when I got to my destination and sat down to eat, so had to make a trip to frigging BUY utensils and paper towels that should have come with my food! Don't waste you time on what must be the worst restaurant in Sebring. Ordered 2 salads and 2 ice tea's. The salads were made at least a day old if not longer. Then had the check emailed to me to find out they charges $2 entertainment charge at 1:30 in the afternoon. Only entertainment was the kids at the next table screaming and having a food fight. I would avoid this place like the plague. Thank God I had a roll of mints in the car to get the taste out of my mouth. My son worked for Chili's in high school over 20 years ago and it was pretty good at that time. Horrible!!! Will not go back. My husband is a strict pescatarian and ordered the shrimp quesadilla salad. They brought him chicken quesadilla salad instead. The manager looked at him in the eye and told him that they will make an entirely new salad. The salad came and hubby started to eat ... and lo and behold a slice of grilled chicken. What the --- recycled food?!!! On the same visit, I ordered a black bean burger. My burger was SOoooOO burnt, I couldn't even cut it with a knife. We came 2 hours before closing time. This was Chili's last chance to redeem themselves. We have had several horrid experiences here. But since there are only a handful of choices in Sebring to dine in, we keep giving this terrible restaurant chances. 5 Stars! I had a large pickup catering order for 30 people. The food was ready as soon as I arrived at 11:15am. They ladies who helped me were friendly and did a wonderful job loading my car. The food was awesome. I order the party platter of Fajitas and the carnitas were by far the best! The chicken was a close 2nd. Southwestern Eggrolls were amazing. The Margarita Chicken Platter wasn't as big of a hit but I apricated the option. Rice and Beans were pretty bland but not a huge deal. The only thing I think they could add is more "Fixins" for the Fajitas. We ran out of Cheese and Pico very quickly. read more

Plenty of empty booths and tables but guy at the front insisted on seating us in the bar. I flatly refused and if you can't seat us, we'll go elsewhere. Once seated, the floor was filthy, table sticky and menus had crud on them. Thank God I carry Wet Ones. Food was subpar. We both had chicken dishes and the chicken was rubbery and tasteless. Beer was warm. Waitress did her best as it was her 1st day. This is the 2nd time in 1 month we've been there and we are not returning. My daughter and her family were there 1 month ago and same thing - filthy place, subpar and cold food and no soap in the bathrooms. This all comes down to poor management. read more

Called to place my order and was put on hold for 8 minutes, So I hung up to place the order online was instructed to be there between 8:25p.m and 8:30p.m Upon arrival the hostess comes out 15 minutes later and informs us they are out of broccoli so we ordered different sides. 10 minutes later the hostess comes back and informs us they are out of ribs, so we order a completely different meal. This chili's has gone completely down the drain serving way below acceptable dishes. Got two salads from there and they used inedible iceberg lettuce and put NO dressing on it. Got quesadillas and they were hard and over cooked. This is a franchise so it should not be hard to follow corporate directions in serving food and making it correctly. The food is mediocre at best, the service was terrible and it was so cold in the restaurant we were shivering trying to eat. This please for dinner is a total joke, it took almost 2 hours for a crappy experience! For the second time in 3 weeks we have had a bad experience at this location. It used to be fairly good. The food was improperly cooked and the steak was served ice cold both times. Unbelievably bad. Uncontested champion for worst service in Sebring, a place where people aren't exactly renowned for their drive and ambition to begin with. I didn't think it was possible for Chili's to screw up their pre-fab food. This one finds a way, apparently as an extension of their open hostility towards their patrons. I've now been here four, yes four miserable times (the last two not of my own will) and the experience has always been identical. What did I expect from a national chain. Let me begin first with the good; our waitress was very nice. Now the less stunning moments: the floor under our table was dirty. Many restaurants actually sweep up the detritus between customers. We ordered the queso and it arrived quickly. Our entrees were apparently being held hostage in the kitchen. Others around us were happily served and tucked into their baskets and bowls of yummies. Meanwhile, we scraped the queso skillet until there wasn't a smidgeon left. We were considering licking the skillet when our waitress happened by and we asked if our entrees were possibly being prepared. Oh, yes!!! I will bring them out, she said. Gee, thanks, we thought. I ordered a beef tostada and chicken and sour cream enchilada. I could have tastier Mexican food at that other taco chain. The one with "taco" in their name. My dining companion ordered a small salad and a bowl of chili. The chili was too spicy, but that's subjective. The salad had the wrong salad dressing. We paid using the nifty non-human tablet thingy conveniently located at each table. The machine did not print a receipt. The waitress was kind enough to print one for me at another register. This was a disappointing lunch and I don't think we'll be returning. read more
