I had no drink the entire time, he didn't even offer us water in the beginning which all restaurants usually do, so that was weird as well and the first time we've had that happen and we were eating out of the appetizer platter, no plates were given to us and he saw that we were eating with a napkin underneath and still didn't bother bringing plates. I placed my to-go order online and arrived at the restaurant at approximately 11:20am on 9/28. My husband informed the host of our decision to change our order from to-go to dining in. The host then consulted with the manager to see if this change could be accommodated. However, the host informed us that "if we ordered to-go, we cannot dine in". I then proceeded to the to-go door and informed the representative that I had changed my mind and wished to dine in with my family. That's the best item they make sometimes it's not as crispy as I like them to be but they are awesome. So get the SW egg-rolls ask for them to be crispy and the dipping sauce. Now I hate avocado but the avocado ranch they service with it is bomb and it's good to dip fries into if somebody orders fries with entree get extra avocado ranch trust me. I always get my order to go I rather be at home to enjoy my SW eggrolls plus with the triple dipper I only get egg-rolls yet three orders of egg-rolls to myself. We were invited out to lunch at Chili's this afternoon, so we dined at the Palmdale location for the first time in over 4 years, and likely, the last time ever. We had previously had a really bad experience at this location and have since stayed as far away as possible. Today, everything started out okay. We ordered an appetizer, and the sliders that came with it were very flavorful and perfectly cooked. Our drinks came to the table before the waiter even completed our order, and we were very pleased with the new system in place. We only got 3 out of 4 table settings and only 2 napkins, but that was easily reconciled. Once we ordered our Entrée's, everything changed. The waiter was scarce. We never got a refill on a single drink, not even water. A completely different server delivered our food to the table, and the hits just kept coming. The serloin steak was overcooked, tough, grisly, and flavorless. The Carne asada was over seasoned, overcooked, and had the texture of dried out jerky. The rice was overly wet and soggy, with the texture of oatmeal. When we asked for an alternate protein source, we were charged for the entire original meal, which was inedible, and extra for the replacement meat, which was just a hamburger patty. When we asked to speak with the manager, we were told he was too busy to come to our table. We weren't a big party either. There were just 4 adults. If I had to pick Palmdale's worst dining establishment, Chili's would take first place. read more

We have been going almost every Sunday to this Chili's location close to a year now around noon time. We typically get seated within reasonable time (usually less than 5 minutes or right away) probably because we tend to arrive before it gets too crowded. I ordered the chicken crispers plain with mango habanero sauce and ranch on the side, chips with guacamole and an Arnold Palmer to drink. My girlfriend ordered the shrimp Cajun pasta with potato soup on the side and a strawberry lemonade to drink. The kids ordered the chicken Cajun pasta, chips and salsa, potato soup, strawberry lemonade and sprite for drinks. We always get seated to the right-hand side are of the restaurant; I believe the central section is a bar-type, and maybe the left side is reserved for special parties or events. My extended family and I visited on a Sunday around 1 p.m. It was crowded and we had to park around the back, but surprisingly, as a group of 9, we were seated almost immediately, which was nice. It's definitely noisy inside when it's crowded, making casual conversation difficult to hear. Our server did a great job taking orders quickly, and we received our food and drinks in a reasonable amount of time. I ordered the Classic Sirloin with added shrimp, and loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli on the side. I also ordered a lemon wedge on the side as well, to use on the broccoli, because in the past, I recall the broccoli tasting bland. The server forgot the wedge, so I had to ask for it again, but she brought it quickly after that. And even without it, the broccoli tasted better than I remembered, as did the steak. What is the job of a hostess? Everytime I come in, there is NO hostess at the front to greet or take us to a table. After 10 minutes we just ended up going to the bar. We sat there another 10 minutes with several staff and servers walking by and not a one came by to see if we needed service. (Keep in mind the restaurant was not busy). Finally a manger (J****) whom was getting ready to just walk past us, until I stopped him to complain. He show no compassion for what I was saying. He advised me that their Hostess clean the tables as well. ( keep in mind, I'm been a hostess before, they all bus or make sure tables are clean, but make sure that the front is covered). Provided no excuse on why a server never came to the table. After me giving him a little snap back, he finally says I can start your order. The issue is, instead of making excuses and giving me bark. He would have apologized for the issue, advised that he will have a talk with the staff. Giving the customer he heard the concern. Lucky for him my kids like eating here for quick meals. I know, I know.. 5 stars for a chain? Well... Yes!!! My husband and I always have a great experience at the Palmdale Chili's, and this evening was especially good! Our server James has been here for a long time. In fact, tonight he told us it's been 12 years now. He always remembers us even if we go months between visits. He's attentive, courteous and is just a great server. I hope that their management appreciates and rewards him accordingly for being part of what makes this location great! We each ordered burgers tonight.. after running around taking care of errands all day, it just sounded good. Hubby got the Smokehouse, and I ordered the 3 for $10 meal with chips and salsa to share and the Just Bacon burger. We ordered the burgers pink and the fries extra well done.. everything came out just right. This was one of the tastiest burgers I've had in a long time. The soft brioche bun is a great carrier for the fresh ingredients. So they're not Michelin rated, and they're a chain.. but a fun, casual dining experience close to home is sometimes just what you need!
