I usually love these little mom and pop spots but not this one.Only 2 people in the restaurant so I should have known.Coffee came with breakfast, tiny 4 ounce cup of coffee, burnt potatoes ( badly). The lady that served us was extremely rude, never said anything, not even thank you or your welcome when I repeatedly said thank you..super aweful

The restaurant was clean as always with a nice ambiance. The servers were all so sweet and helpful. We ordered miso soup to start. It's a favorite that is consistently excellent. I ordered udon noodles with veggies and my friend ordered soba noodles with veggies. Both of us loved our meals! They were hot and delicious. For dessert we got the tempura cheesecake. Wow! Beautiful presentation and tasted creamy and not too sweet. The tempura was a bit challenging to cut with our spoons but it was worth the struggle. This is one of my favorite restaurants and I'm so happy to see that they are doing well!

Everything about this meal was perfect, from start to finish. We were seated immediately despite it being quite busy. Enjoyed a bottle of Josh Cabernet for an incredibly reasonable price. My partner's meal arrived fresh and piping hot -- my sushi arrived beautifully arranged (with the CUTEST soy sauce plate art!). We even made friends with our table-neighbors. I cannot express to the Yelp community enough how incredible this restaurant is. You can always rely on Umami for deliciousness, consistency, and hospitality. Xoxoxo Umami has our hearts forever!

A better than expected all you can eat locale…read more Came here because it was close by and they recently revamped their dine in to include boba tea and an all you can eat sushi and Chinese menu. Decided to give it a try and see how things turned out. Inside is clean and decorated well. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We told them we were doing the all you can eat, and got our ordering menu. Interestingly, they included boba tea as an option on the all you can eat menu. so we got drinks to try. They were a little sweet but tasty. We ordered a smattering of bites, with the idea that the plates would be tiny and we could try a bunch. The portions were smaller, but still very massive. There was many times we would take bites and it would look like nothing was eaten. You need to make sure you order light when picking your choices. The bites were seasoned well, tasty, and plentiful. The highlights being the garlic shrimp and the pepper tuna tataki. The sushi rice is seasoned correctly, and the fish was fresh. The taste of the rolls was a little bland, but soy and the wasabi aoli helped out. They do have the stipulation of food waste costing more, so the mass amounts of food did give us pause. The server assured us that there would not be any charges as they figure out how to portion. But it did limit our ordering. For the price, the quality is actually pretty good. It's pricy for the area, but you're not going to go hungry. If you get a chance to try them, they are a great option for a meal. It's not worthy of a trek, but versus other restaurants of that style you would be hard pressed to find better.

It's a great concept, 90 minutes, all your little hear desires. A few challenges, only one sushi chef at the bar so order your rolls first, then check the other options. Cozy vibe, never too crowded so it was easy to carry on a conversation. Some noticeable things - the nearly endless variety of drink combinations was intriguing, start with green or black tea, select a fruit flavor (which were freshly muddled) and add Boba or not. Sodas are from a can and were not cold lol. The tables and booths are comfortable if you are not tall. It became a fun game of who's feet are going in which direction around the large pedestal base. Highlights are the hot & sour soup, boneless pork ribs which were succulent and tasty, Kani Salad, signature rolls were also enjoyable with a great and generous rice to filling ratio. Some things to improve are the wait times for the sushi. We've been there twice and each time thw dining area is relatively empty but it still took 35-45 minutes to get any rolls. Although it's AYCE, the sashimi and nigiri options are a la cart $1 a piece. The same checklist sheet was used, and a couple of the items were not erased between courses leading to double service. Maybe a smaller checklist that's used once or an electronic selection option from the table to the kitchen either via app or web form could solve this issue. As anything new, a time to acclimate to the changes and fine tweak solutions ia to be expected. We look forward to trying more of their signature rolls

Quality is still good, price and portion are askew…read more We came here as a quick sandwich bite on our way around the state. Service was good, and the ambiance is still lively. The still tastes good, with some exceptions. The frier oil seemed burnt, so the pickle chips we had just had that little bit of carbon taste on them. The pickle chips batter was very thick, and the mayo was the only respite. The sandwich, still tasty, seemed much smaller than normal, the meat still had good flavor, but the portion was lighter in comparison. The prices are also a bit high. The sandwich coming out to about 15 bucks. The bargain is very much gone now, and the portion is okay for a sandwich but pricy because of this shrinkage. Not shown are the overcooked onion rings. We returned those and the server promptly removed them from the bill. So really good customer service. I opted for a brownie for dessert, and the brownie was a disappointment. Too sugary, no flavor, gummy, and disappointingly small and thin. A detractor for sure. As a deli, it feels like it's on the decline. I know things are pricier now, but what you pay vs what you get doesn't match up. I'm hoping they pivot from this path, but right now it's no longer my go-to. It's still tasty, just pricy

I didn't know what dressing I wanted so I got the cucumber wasabi and balsamic vinaigrette on the side. The cucumber wasabi was what intrigued me and it was so delicious. A hint of wasabi flavor but not too much to overpower the palate. I ended up enjoying it more than the balsamic vinaigrette. There was fresh cooked bacon, corn, eggs, grape tomatoes, avocado, cheese, olives and a beautiful mix of greens; all super fresh and delicious. I can't wait to return!
