Chicken strips, fries a side of gravy and corn nuggets, and a roll because I'm country. The roll was buttery and warm Chicken was fresh Corn nuggets my fave and so delicious I stopped in for lunch the other day, and I got the chicken tender meal with a side of corn nuggets. If you've never had one but like corn, please try it, and you'll be hooked!

This is the worst Chicken Express I've ever been to. They are on a downwards spiral. Go to any other location. I grew up in Dallas so it wasn't a question to eat here on opening day. The previous owner was amazing and the food/service too. Unfortunately, whoever took over is doing the worst job at running a Chicken Express. I've never seen a worse one in my life. Firstly, a few months ago, I was eating inside and they closed the lobby an hour early. The manager was rude to me for no reason at all. I waited 45 mins for my food and they forgot my other meal. When my bf went to ask for it, she literally snatched the receipt and didn't apologize for forgetting it. A customer tried to come inside and the manager was so rude to him and didn't let him come inside. She acted like he was stupid for trying to come in during lobby hours. He didn't speak English well and she came off as racist. Secondly, I went to eat there yesterday. I drive 30 minutes always. The lobby is closed for some reason, and I got a 4 pc tender meal through drive thru. What a waste of $11. 2 half tenders is ridiculous. Everyone knows that Chicken Express is known for throwing in a few extra tenders. Not skimping you. Not to mention they were stale and just barely warm. The roll also was burnt. My bf was going to munch on any extras so we were both hungry after. We can usually get a 4pc and be fine. It was terrible and I was furious. The drive through got a few customers coming through so I didn't have time to wait and complain. The lady taking my order was not friendly and didn't have any customer service skills. This Chicken Express is now the worst I've been to. I miss the old owner. It feels as if you're at a gas station chicken stop, but worse because you're paying so much for (now) terrible food. I would recommend driving to any other Chicken Express as I will be doing now.

OLD COLD AND STALE TENDERS This is an updated review on my most recent experience with this establishment. In my previous review, I bragged about how delicious and flavorful the tenders are. However, I stopped here about a couple of weeks ago for some of those juicy, flavorful, piping hot, and delicious tenders and was met with MAD DISAPPOINTMENT! Upon arrival, I decided to use their drive-thru since I was in a hurry and didn't want to waste time parking my vehicle and getting out. Placing my order was quick, simple, and easy. However, as I proceeded to the drive-thru window, there was a vehicle already waiting for their order. I believe I may have waited at least a good 10 to 15 minutes for that customer to get their order. After they finally received their order, I was happy because I was up next. Yay! Well, I got excited only to play the waiting game a little longer for four pieces of chicken tenders. I did not order any sides or bread or drinks, just four chicken tenders, A-LA-CARTE. The worker did not approach the window immediately to take my payment, so I continued to wait even longer. After about five minutes, he came to the window and barked out my total, in which I can't remember how much it was. Of course I responded to him by saying, "Hello and how are you today", which is something he should have done. He spoke back, I gave him my debit card, he took my payment, returned my card, and said, "Give us a second." and then he shut the window. I was left sitting there thinking to myself, "dude I just gave yall fifty-thousand seconds already and you want me to give you some more seconds for four little chicken tenders. I just could not fathom why they had me and the other customer before me waiting so long when there were no other customers in sight, not even inside the building. I started to get a creepy and eerie feeling about this. However, I had already given my payment so I decided to just wait it out. What was the point of me being in a hurry and using the drive-thru, when my time got delayed anyway? The perks of a drive-thru are not available at this place of business, obviously. Furthermore, after waiting for what seemed like a Kajillion minutes, he finally brought my order to the window without a bag. He just handed me a Chicken Express box and the box was cold. As I reached for my order, my thoughts were that the bottom of the box was going to burn my hand from the heat of the tenders. After being rude to me upon ordering and then handing me a box of OLD, COLD, and STALE chicken tenders, he had the nerves to apologize for the wait. I ended up thanking him for his service and telling him to have a nice day. Guys, when I opened that box so that I could munch on my tenders while driving to my destination, I was highly disappointed at the presentation of the tenders. Also, to make matters worse, when I picked one up to taste it, it was cold not warm but cold, dry, and stale tasting. While driving away, I was thinking to myself, "I will not be returning here ever again." I was so infuriated, I started to see RED. What a waste of time!!! In conclusion, Chicken Express should change the name of their establishment by dropping the Express part and replacing it with Slowfulness because service was painfully slow. It was like watching paint dry. Moreover, customer service was extremely unprofessional. The guy that served me was rude, unfriendly, and unwelcoming. He did not greet me with a friendly and professional tone. He did not greet me at all. I greeted him. He appeared as if he did not want to be doing the job that he is getting paid to do. I get it that sometimes you're just not feeling it but you can't bring your problems to work. Stay at home if you're not happy. Better yet, the business owners should check in on their place of business by doing pop-up visits and assessments to see what their workers are truly doing when they are not around. Have you ever heard the quote, "when the cat's away, the mice come out to play?" Well, that's exactly what they were doing at this establishment when they sold me some old, cold, and stale chicken tenders and made me wait for an hour to receive them. I will never go back and I do not recommend anyone to visit this establishment. It has gone downhill pretty badly, which is so sad because it has a lot of potential. From reading other yelpers recent reviews, I've learned that there is new ownership at this place, so that could very well be the problem. Oh, well, not my problem though. They will not be getting my money anymore.

Not a great first impression walking in. Turns out the place was sold as of 4 months ago. The new owner totally disregards staff and that's unfortunate. The food is still good but be prepared for a wait!! Overall not bad !!

I was more impressed than I expected I would be. The chicken was very fresh and tasty. We arrived 15 minutes after they opened, so I am sure that helped. The service was fast and accurate as far as our actual food order, BUT they charged me the car order behind us (the slip attached to my food bag showed my car type and color; the other receipt handed to me showed a completely different type and color). I didn't catch it until I had already pulled away from the drive thru. I called the store and I was told I would need to come back in to fix the issue. I decided to deal with it later. I wanted to eat my food while it was still hot. The chicken was nicely battered, very fresh and the perfect temperature. The fries were also very good. I like the gravy option with chicken tenders - tastes like a country lunch. Yum! The coleslaw was nice with a wonderful crunch. The roll - oh my goodness were they delicious! You have a choice of a biscuit or roll, but I prefer rolls. The sweet tea with the "Sonic" ice was also great! Their menu is pretty extensive for fast food. Not many places have okra and green beans for a side. I stayed with the safe option of fries, just in case, but next time, I will try other items. I ended up going back to rectify the situation of being overcharged. The manager was very nice and willing to help. I had to explain it to 4 people first, then wait for a good 20 minutes (I shouldn't have gone during their dinner rush), but it was cleared up and I appreciated the assistance.

I'd like gravy with this water.

I'm not sure what happened tonight at Chicken Express, but whoever prepared the gravy needs to be retrained or removed from ever making the gravy again. It was so watery!! Number one reason I chose to eat from here is the gravy and tenders. I gave them 2 stars because fries, drink and roll were good. Tenders were crispy, but had zero flavor. They also gave me 3 1/2 tenders, not 4. Really would not have noticed the lack in seasoning on the tenders if I had edible gravy. We have come to this place a few times since it opened. Really disappointed today. I'll give them one more try and hope that this gets corrected.

This place brings authentic Deep South flavors and hospitality straight to Texas, and every single bite reminded me of home-cooked meals from down South. The signature chicken tenders were crispy on the outside, juicy and tender inside, and seasoned to perfection, easily some of the best I've had anywhere. Paired with their seasoned dirty rice, their fluffy, buttery biscuits and perfectly seasoned french fries, it was a match made in heaven. I also had to try the famous Bo Berry biscuit, and it did not disappoint, warm, sweet, bursting with blueberries and that classic glaze that makes it impossible to stop at just one. Of course, no Southern meal is complete without a tall cup of sweet tea, and theirs was exactly what I hoped for: strong, refreshing, and perfectly sweetened like grandma made it. The portions are generous, the food is fresh and full of flavor, and the whole experience felt like a warm Southern welcome. If you're looking for that genuine Deep South taste without leaving Texas, Streets Chicken is the spot. Highly recommend. ! I'll definitely be back for more! Rod Gray Cypress, TX

My wife and I were sharing and she settled on the Steak Biscuit breakfast sandwich because she'd heard it tastes like the old Grandy's steak biscuit (I don't remember ever eating at Grandy's). We ordered on the app and picked up in the drive thru. The attendant was friendly and told us to pull up to the stop sign to wait for fresh food. The Steak Biscuit and Bo-Tato Rounds came out hot. I liked the biscuit, but the steak was too thin and got lost. My wife said, "It kind of tastes like Grandy's, but Grandy's was better," it has to have been 40 years since she's eaten there. The real star for me was the Bo-Tato Rounds! I would go back just for those. They were hot, flaky and just greasy enough to have that forbidden "it's bad for you" tater bliss!

Both work from a custard base, eggs, when done right. A few months back I had seen a YouTube video of a Brit who was taste testing fish and chips around the US. He tried the one at an East coast Culver's franchise and gave it a thumbs up. So, a few months back, I visited the Fulshear location and tried it. Their batter sucked up a lot of oil and the oil temp was off so it was really greasy. They kindly made a fresh batch for me and treated me to a butter pecan frozen custard for my patience. It was just okay. The owner of this franchise reached out to me and advised that they work really hard to have quality fish. For me the issue was not the fish, which is really good, but their particular batter that absorbs so much oil. Note: having lived in the UK, I've had a lot of fish and chips there. So a trip today to Katy to pick up some things at Nellis put me near to their Katy location. And I saw that they are featuring walleye currently. I ordered the 3 piece fish with two sides of cole slaw as I think their fries are forgettable. About $21. The fish was really good, but again, the batter recipe they've come up was not one that I was thrilled by. Great crunch but I needed to grab napkins and remove as much grease as possible in order to enjoy the meal. I finished off with that afore mentioned chocolate decadence and enjoyed it so much I ordered a two scoop vanilla with marshmallow cream after. The photo shows the stylized photo and the actual order. The second photo shows the oil I removed from the batter. Service...first rate. They've trained their staff well. Such nice people, going the "extra mile:. My compliments. Ambiance. Clean, fun environment. I am already dreaming about coming back for the frozen custard. Not the fish, but the custard for sure.
