I almost hurt myself ringing my head around at the site of the Culver's sign! I'm not sure how long they've been here but this new-ish Culver's already had a crowd. Although only one of two drive-thru lanes remained open, patron after Parton pulled up, paid for their eats, and patiently waited (and waited) for their food. Personally, I waited to order (understandable), and waited far longer to pay with the line backup, however I did not wait at all for my food to arrive :) I went with my usual chicken tender combo. I personally love that their tenders are coated most similar to fish. Most importantly, the quality of the tenders are unmatched. My tenders were fresh, my fries were hot, and my ice cream cold. The only thing I would have appreciated is more candy in my Reese's mixer. I asked for double candy, double candy was noted on my receipt, but I did not receive double candy. In fact, I received only one lone Reese's chunk in today's mixer. The rest were the small chocolate slivers from the candy. Perhaps I visited too late in the evening and received the last of the mix-in? Slip ups happen and this location is closest to me personally. I'm sure I'll be back when the custard craving hits and I'm on this side of town. read more

5/5 Hands down 10/10! This chicken sandwich was fresh, hot, crispy, and seasoned perfectly. The chicken was thick and juicy, the bun was soft, and the lettuce, tomato, and pickles were fresh. Everything tasted like it was made to order. The sweet tea was on point too! I've tried a lot of chicken sandwiches, and this one is definitely at the top of my list. This is officially my new spot. Service Take out order missing a burger! Sourdough not toasted one burger so WET the burger box fell apart! Fries cold might be older?? They DON'T answer their phone, we are driving 32 minutes round trip to get the missing burger. Fast food drive through should be basic and the manager brought ours out ??? Double check your orders WET burger is just wrong? Why? Will we go back? That's unclear, hopefully a full refund will be offered on the whole $70 purchase since now our evening has been destroyed as we aren't eating as a family and two of us are just pissed off. read more

Culver's isn't something I grew up with as there wasn't one in my part of town, but it was pretty okay. I'd say you really do need to stick with the butterburgers, custards or shakes, and the sides. The chili isn't half bad either. I tried the fish dinner here and while they're pretty big (big price, but big portion), it was a bit dry and flavorless. The sauces helped, but they really need to fill the sauce cup all the way if they're charging for it, as I didn't even get half. The cheese curds are okay, but the breading itself is way too salty, and pretty sure the cheese would've been on the saltier end on its own. The roll was fine with butter, which seems to be a recurring theme here. I remember the onion rings being good, but their crinkle fries need some work. I'd say Culver's need to play to its strength. And fill up the effing sauce cup, because the fries or fish is going to be terrible without it! read more

The frozen custard here is spectacular. As I was having my chocolate decadence two scoops today, the thought went through my head "You know, I think that I prefer the density and texture of this to Italian gelato." Both work from a custard base, eggs, when done right. A few months back I had seen a YouTube video of a Brit who was taste testing fish and chips around the US. He tried the one at an East coast Culver's franchise and gave it a thumbs up. So, a few months back, I visited the Fulshear location and tried it. Their batter sucked up a lot of oil and the oil temp was off so it was really greasy. They kindly made a fresh batch for me and treated me to a butter pecan frozen custard for my patience. It was just okay. The owner of this franchise reached out to me and advised that they work really hard to have quality fish. For me the issue was not the fish, which is really good, but their particular batter that absorbs so much oil. Note: having lived in the UK, I've had a lot of fish and chips there. So a trip today to Katy to pick up some things at Nellis put me near to their Katy location. And I saw that they are featuring walleye currently. I ordered the 3 piece fish with two sides of cole slaw as I think their fries are forgettable. About $21. The fish was really good, but again, the batter recipe they've come up was not one that I was thrilled by. Great crunch but I needed to grab napkins and remove as much grease as possible in order to enjoy the meal. I finished off with that afore mentioned chocolate decadence and enjoyed it so much I ordered a two scoop vanilla with marshmallow cream after. Wife and I were in the area and it was lunchtime. Saw Culver's and both commented we'd never ate a Culver's. So in we go. Guy behind the counter was super friendly in explaining how to order and what are some of their more popular choices. The wife went with the Swiss/mushroom burger and I went with the patty melt - both single patty. And made it a combo with FFs and drink. We were not disappointed my patty melt was spot on and she loved the one she got. FFs were hot and crispy. Pricing - great - under $20 and no tip line. Most times we split a meal and it's at least $20. Not here. And they brought it to the table. Definitely will be in our rotation. read more

If you plan to tap to pay at the drive-through, you have to pass your phone to the attendant since there's no screen for you to tap it from your car. I ordered the cod, fish sandwich and cheese curds and upgraded to a strawberry shake with chocolate sauce. Everything was fresh tasty and about $17. Not too shabby! But what really stood out was the crispiness of the cod sandwich and the thick creamy not too sweet chocolate strawberry shake. Highly recommend will return. read more

I pulled up to the drive through and was asked by an employee my name for my order and what I would like. I ordered 10 shrimp, a side salad, and a mushroom Swiss burger and some condiments. I pulled around and paid for my meal. The employee who took my payment put a paper sticky note with a pre-printed number on my mirror and asked me to pull up to the food wait area. About 3 minutes later, which I consider very reasonable, the same person brought my food out to me. Once I was about 1/4 mile away, I discovered the burger was missing. Returning through the empty drive-thru (both sides), I received no greeting or response for over a minute, not even a "we will be with you shortly", nothing. I inched forward and see if there was a vehicle at the window. There was not. I decided to move to the window to see if I could get my missing burger. The staff ignored me three separate times by approaching without opening the window or motioning to me, while delivering food other cars in front of me in the drive thru. After parking and going inside, I asked for the manger. I explained what happened and she apologized, but showed indifference about my shrimp that was no longer hot. It had already been 20 minutes! They made a fresh burger, apparently it was never made in the first place or given to someone else. The staff member who gave it to me also apologized. I made my dissatisfaction clear. I have never been to this location but have eaten at Culver's locations in Austin, TX at least 50 times over the years. I have never had an experience like this! Not sure I will be going back to this location any time soon. The food was good despite the delays and temperature. We did heat it up at home. read more

You have an ocean of fast food options. None of them are five-star dining and you really should not expect them to be. Culver's is a bit pricier than most of the usual suspects. That said, you get what you pay for. The meat is better, the veggies are fresher, and the portion sizes are on point. You can get righteous cheese curds and their seasonal specials are pretty dang good (looking at you, walleye!) This location is clean and the employees give the impression that they are actually happy to be there. read more

I have not had Culvers since I was a kid. Brought back many memories with my mom and family. Ordered a mushroom Swiss Burger with a combo. Tried their in-house root beer. My wife had placed an order for curbside and I went to go get it. She submitted that I was there and I say and waited for about 20 minutes, before I drove around to the drive thru window. The lady at the window told me they never got the notification. I asked her if the food was still hot, she said that it was when it in fact wasn't, they had also forgot an item. My wife calls and tells them what happened and someone told her that it was because I drove a different vehicle than what was put in. I'm sorry but that shouldn't matter, especially when I'm the ONLY vehicle parked at curbside directly in front of the window. When she asked about a refund for the missing item she was told that's our bag but we don't do refunds and expected us to go back up there. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received during my recent visit to Culver's. I placed a large order, taking my time to ensure I got everything my family wanted, only to get home and discover several items were missing. Frustrated, I immediately called the store to address the issue, only to be put on hold for over five minutes by the manager, Debe. She didn't once check back in to update me or confirm she was still working on my issue. When I called again to follow up, I had to point out that Debe never returned to the line, and instead of apologizing or showing concern, she became rude and dismissive. Her attitude only made the situation more frustrating. I mean, how do you forget key items in an order, then fail to provide proper customer service when someone calls to resolve it? This whole experience has left a terrible impression, and I don't see myself shopping here again. I expect and deserve better, especially when spending hard-earned money on a supposedly reputable business. What should have been a simple fix turned into a frustrating and disappointing ordeal that I won't soon forget. This is the Katy, TX location. read more

One person taking orders at the register. Had to wait for her to be available. Ordered a single butter burger with cheese. Received and was charged for a double. One person was preparing the make it for later custard and leaving it out on the counter to melt. The reason why you do make it for later is so that it doesn't melt and it's made when you want to eat it. Thankfully they had not made ours yet. Portion size was too small and the flavor of the day was vanilla apparently because there was very limited caramel and cashews in the custard. But multiple orders were sitting on a tray. Two people running orders to customers and one person on the register taking orders. I counted I think 4? people standing doing nothing. Too much help for the amount of business. This was about 5 PM on a Tuesday night. Asked for a plastic knife. Culver's standard used to be to hand it inside a napkin to the customer? Has that changed? She also offered me a to go bag, which I didn't ask for? The burger was delicious, as usual. They changed their pork tenderloin to a pork loin sandwich and its half the size it used to be. The cheese curds were breaded differently? Not sure when that changed. We have been eating at Culver's for almost 30 years. Lived in Madison, Wisconsin and McKinney, Texas until a year ago. This location needs to do better! They just opened so I will cut them some slack. Overall would give them a B- for the experience. read more
