For the longest time, I've wanted nothing more than to live in a city that had both an In-N-Out and a Shake Shack. That dream is now a reality, it somehow doesn't quite to capture what I had conjured up in my head. Everything looks good on paper: fabulous customer service, long lines at the drive-thru but moves along quickly, cheapish prices (#1), clean and brightly lit interior, plenty of parking, and open late every night. But the food? It doesn't taste like California, but it's acceptable but not exceptional. Double doubles are hearty, animal style is required, fries are always subpar, and the patties are often oversalted. The produce doesn't nearly feel the same. Could it be the Texas effect? I still find myself here every so often, met with the same enthusiasm that I would see when in Southern California. The end result isn't the quite the same, but I'm hopeful nevertheless. Maybe I'll go back to dreaming for the days before. __________ (#1) Foodflation, not a fan of you.

We went for a Saturday lunch and it was super busy. We had a hard time finding parking and seating inside. The order line went pretty quick and we got our food in no time. The burgers were good. I enjoyed the crunchy onion slice inside with the in and out sauce. The cascabella peppers are unique and tastes great with the burger. Honestly, the burger on its own was quite plain so I would recommend eating it with more sauce or the peppers. I do enjoy their animal style fries but we got the plain fries to get them fresh. We sprinkled some salt on them and it was perfect. Great stop to grab a meal real quick. Bright and welcoming ambiance. Not sure if it was the inside temperature or because there were too many people, but it was a little too warm to enjoy a meal.

So I've had in and out before and it didn't prompt me to write a review, but this time doing some errands around the area my mom and I decided to just run it with a light snack and okay honestly it was a BANGER. First off, it's bustling still ain't no way around that and ofc everyone knows the quick drive through and secret menu stuff but here's the thing. You don't wanna go "in and out" of the restaurant you wanna go in and stay in cause eating that burger hot and fresh really gives it plus 3 stars than bring it home TRUST ME. Second idk if I've ever said this before but lowkey their burgers got a little bigger? Like it could be the presentation or the buns but hey that little hamburger didn't feel all that little. Also little food hack, go crazy on the toppings this ain't Chipotle where it's extra for queso/guac, I added a little extra raw onions and pickles and man it was the right move. Now if you've read this far you might wonder why I haven't said anything about the food besides the burger. Well unfortunately there's very little you're missing there. I am quite sorry to report that the fries and shake are skip for me. Fries it could be just a personal preference but they don't got that oofph that makes me go "Oh I gotta get these again!". It's seriously not memorable. The shakes I have nothing against but value wise I'd rather stock up with two burgers. Here's the best final part, each hamburger was like ~$3.50!! We got 4 decent sized delicious hamburgers for sub $15 dollars. Now if you don't think that's a hella value deal we might not be speaking the same language but if you know you KNOW.

I first had In-N-Out Burger about 15 years ago in Dallas. I finally decided today was a good day to try our always crowded, always busy, Katy location. The service was excellent. And I got through the drive-thru line within 5 minutes for a Wednesday late afternoon lunch. But...I don't get it. The cheeseburger was OK. But nothing to write home about. I honestly prefer Culver's or Freddy's. I did like the thick slice of fresh onion. But the fries. Woof. The fries. Nope. Never again. They tasted like they were made out of dehydrated potatoes. And I even warmed them up for two minutes in my air fryer to make sure I was really getting the peak taste quality. Maybe I'll try it again in another 15 years.

First time here!! I loved the banana peppers that come on the side. The sauce was ok. Overall, I don't think this is my favorite chain for burgers, but I loved the experience. The service was fast and friendly and the restaurant was clean and busy.

In N Out is consistent in their quality for an affordable price. The drive thru system is very efficient, and the lines inside and outside always go by super fast. Wish that there were a bit more seating options because it is usually packed! I ordered their double double protein style and regular fries, but do enjoy their animal style fries better.

This location is fast, friendly and the food consistently In&Out goodness. Fries are fresh and tasty. They always greet you, show gratitude and ask if you need any condiments. They know the secret menu items so be sure to ask.

So, I tried this location for the second time, first time was lack luster, this time was down right dangerous. Went there today , no big line, ordered my food, and paid. Got home, bit into my burger and it's raw in the middle. This is just absolutely insane. Thank God I noticed and spit it out. The fry's were weird and crunchy ( not in a good way) and have no flavor. The biggest issues is that this could have been a very situation if I had actually ate my burger. Definitely will never be back.

Oh man!!!! How I missed In N Out!! I'm originally from California and having bounced from state to state, I've missed this chain so much. Having recently visited Katy, I knew there was a location nearby and HAD to go. The line was super long at 9pm, going out to the street. The parking lot was full, too. No matter the wait time, I wanted my fill. We were in line for maybe 15 minutes total, they were FAST. The employees were all super nice, too. Our order was correct, hot, and above all, delicious! It was super super salty, though. But I haven't been eating fast food for over a month so I think my body just wasn't ready for that salt bomb. Everything was as delicious as I remembered (except this location is huge)! Thank you, In N Out employees!!

We are from California and just moved to Katy Texas. We bleed In n out! This location far exceeds expectations. Got the order right, amazing taste, and they listened to what we wanted. SUPER happy this location is right down the street for taste of home when we need it. Grateful it is available nearby.

As a California native, I've been a fan of In-N-Out for as long as I can remember, so every time I stop by Katy, they are my go-to. That being said, for all my Whataburger connoisseurs I'm writing this review with an unbiased perspective, and I can confidently say that this In-N-Out location lives up to the high standards set by its West Coast counterparts. I indulged in some of my favorites from their not-so-secret menu. I ordered the Animal Fries and a 3x3 burger, along with a Lemon Up--a refreshing mix of pink lemonade and 7-Up. Everything was exactly how I remembered it: the burger was incredibly fresh, with juicy patties layered between crisp lettuce, tomato, and that iconic spread. (Not going to lie, as I write this review I wonder why they named it "Spread".... Iykyk. Anyways..... The Animal Fries were loaded with gooey melted cheese, grilled onions, and more of that delicious spread.... lol --comfort food at its finest & a nice budget worthy burger! The consistency of great customer service is something I've always appreciated about In-N-Out, and this location didn't disappoint. The staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient. Whether you're a fellow Californian like me, a newcomer, OR a Whataburger fan aka, LemmeTryIn-N Outtoseewhatthehypeisallabout, this Katy location delivers on all fronts!

If you haven't tried In-N-Out, you're missing out! The food is always fresh, the service is quick, and the quality never disappoints. My absolute favorite is ordering animal style--the burgers come perfectly grilled with that extra kick of flavor, and the fries smothered in cheese, grilled onions, and sauce are unbeatable. It's classic comfort food done right, and honestly, I could eat it every week.

Both work from a custard base, eggs, when done right. A few months back I had seen a YouTube video of a Brit who was taste testing fish and chips around the US. He tried the one at an East coast Culver's franchise and gave it a thumbs up. So, a few months back, I visited the Fulshear location and tried it. Their batter sucked up a lot of oil and the oil temp was off so it was really greasy. They kindly made a fresh batch for me and treated me to a butter pecan frozen custard for my patience. It was just okay. The owner of this franchise reached out to me and advised that they work really hard to have quality fish. For me the issue was not the fish, which is really good, but their particular batter that absorbs so much oil. Note: having lived in the UK, I've had a lot of fish and chips there. So a trip today to Katy to pick up some things at Nellis put me near to their Katy location. And I saw that they are featuring walleye currently. I ordered the 3 piece fish with two sides of cole slaw as I think their fries are forgettable. About $21. The fish was really good, but again, the batter recipe they've come up was not one that I was thrilled by. Great crunch but I needed to grab napkins and remove as much grease as possible in order to enjoy the meal. I finished off with that afore mentioned chocolate decadence and enjoyed it so much I ordered a two scoop vanilla with marshmallow cream after. The photo shows the stylized photo and the actual order. The second photo shows the oil I removed from the batter. Service...first rate. They've trained their staff well. Such nice people, going the "extra mile:. My compliments. Ambiance. Clean, fun environment. I am already dreaming about coming back for the frozen custard. Not the fish, but the custard for sure.

I settled on the double bacon burger with avocados and tater tots with barbecue sauce for dipping and a flavored lemonade. He offered to add a jaggers sauce and explained with the expertise of a trained sommelier the ingredients and flavor profile of said sauce. True to his word, it was indeed smokey with a hint of pepper. The line moved quickly, payment was easy, and I was on my way. The burger was juicy and had all the right proportions for the condiments. I checked and it had mayonnaise and mustard, but it was still a bit bland. In hindsight, I should have added some of the jaggers sauce, but I didn't want the sauce to overpower the avocado and bacon flavors. Tots were good and seasoned.
