Where there's smoke, there's firehouse
Fox E.

Fire is right, in that someone will probably get fired when HQ actually reads the reviews here lol. They get one extra star for being so nice, but the bread and ingredients tasted old, the toppings were skimpy (not in a sexy way), and it just didn't taste the way a Firehouse sandwich should. I think Firehouse is going the way of Subway (as in, ugh), if this location is anything to go by. Too much expansion, not enough love and attention to detail. But amazing service. I gave them an extra star for a very nice corporate response though.

Medium New York Steamer sub combo
Gerard Y.

Who ever thought a medium sized sandwich can be filling? It looks small by the picture but I'm full as I type this. The sandwich, chips, and a drink for $9. Much better than other sandwich chain stores as mentioned by others already.

Moldy bread

Today I chose to eat here for lunch, noticed that the sandwich tasted a bit funny and decided to inspect it and unfortunately the sandwiches were moldy. Didn't realize until I ate half of the sandwich.

The best subs around

Manager in the gray shirt

Please change your TV channel. News, car show, music, or something other than football. Food was delicious. Out of drink selection. Keep a better inventory so the syrup does not run out. After I submitted this review I just witnessed the manager or owner, not sure which, tell an older gentleman that he needed a bag to out all of his sandwiches in. The older gentleman said he was going to the hospital and had to walk a distance to get into the hospital. The manager said you should have brought a bigger bag. Really.

Harvey’s Deli - Cuban on sourdough

There is a dine in option however the place is relatively small and they have quite a busy "To Go" service so it is akin the having a meal along a busy sidewalk. Please don't misunderstand, if your option is to consume your meal in a facility or in your car it is likely more convenient but that ends the contrast. Because it is o "To Go" oriented for instance if you order gumbo (which I did) you will be given a small plastic spoon and salad (which I ordered) will be segregated (Like olives grouped together, feta grouped etc. ) in a container "To Go" container making it impossible to 'toss' without making a mess or using your hands. Let's address food which I have mentioned. Gumbo is akin to a Manhattan style fish chowder, not objectionable however not gumbo. The Greek Salad I gave already described with the addition of the fact that my dressing had solidified. When I pointed it out to the folks taking orders it was replaced however in this respect I'm glad I ate in...without a microwave it would not have liquified. Look, I am not an idealist, This is a sandwich "To Go" place I don't fault the owners at trying to make every square inch of a rental place earn money however the 'dine in' option is a convenience not an ambience. The 'gumbo' was not and the salad was a generous portion of lettuce, fresh vegetables, adequate feta however the initial dressing and the serving container for 'eat in' was disappointing. Next time I will order a sandwich which is a Deli goal.

I asked for a drink recommendation and she gave me two great options. I chose the Tres Cucumber and it was amazing. Refreshing, not too sweet, and perfectly balanced with a clean cucumber flavor. My husband ordered the Old Fashioned, which was also very well done. We shared the fudge brownie for dessert and it was rich, moist, and elevated with just the right hint of espresso. The atmosphere is comfortable and versatile. It works just as well for a date night as it does for a girls night or a casual meet-up with a friend. 10 out of 10. I definitely recommend this spot and will absolutely be back.

We were lucky enough to get a table along the perimeter at the window so we had a nice view and could still have conversation. We ordered some flatbread for the table (variety of 3) and they were somewhat underwhelming, neither warm nor cold, and appeared to have just had items dropped on top of them. Having ordered them once (to go) from this location as well as in-house at the Town & Country location, where they were very good both times, somebody was just a little off their game today. We also ordered shakshuka, which was very good and wiped away the memory of the less than stellar flatbread. I would definitely return here again and try other things.

I stopped in with a friend in town who never experienced this place and they were amazed. From the world's largest car wash to a wall of jerky. I received a Buc-ee's dog leash as a gift, and the very first time I used it, it broke. Luckily, I have a good boy and didn't run off, which could have easily turned into a dangerous situation. For something as basic as a dog leash, I would think the quality would be more reliable, and this clearly wasn't. I went back to the store looking for an exchange, not even a refund, and that's where things got super weird and frustrating. I was told by the Manager Miah that without a receipt, nothing could be done. But, in the same conversation, she told me the item would also need to be in "resellable condition." .... HMMMMM.... wait, that doesn't make much sense. Let me get this straight, if the product is defective and broke on first use, how would it ever be resellable? BUuuuuuut if I did have a receipt, suddenly the broken leash is acceptable for exchange? The logic just didn't add up. Miah then insisted on stressing "store policy" and that she could lose her job for making an exception. But isn't store policy to satisfy your customers and provide them with an experience that makes them want to return. That's hard to believe that taking care of a customer over a clearly defective $20 item would be a fireable offense. Come on guys, where is the use of basic common sense. The most disappointing is that I've been a loyal Buc-ee's customer. Every year before visiting family overseas, we spend $100's of dollars on Buc-ee's merchandise, snacks, and gifts to take with us. It's been a tradition, one that ended today. Completely shocked that a company valued at over $2 Billion would choose to stand firm over a $20 defective leash. How about you guys do a better job training management to handle situations like this with a little flexibility and customer-first thinking vs. scaring them into losing their jobs, which loses customers! I used to enjoy shopping at Buc-ee's, but after this experience, I def. will not be back!
