The food here was relatively decent, the chilli was served warm instead of hot. I tried to order their soup of the day the homestyle lasagna but they told me they no longer served it despite it being on their menu on the screen. I would come back to try other foods on the menu. read more

I would not recommend ordering online. I placed an order online and it seemed like a glitch with my address but the order on door dash showed with an incorrect address and on McAlister's site my address was correct. I called Door Dash, The Driver, and McAlister's and each blamed each other. The driver stated he had to take it to the address listed. The store manager said she was at the store and could not do anything for an online order. No refund or send correct order. On the following day I wrote a complaint email to corporate. NO RESPONSE I'm done with them. read more

As soon as I came in there was no greeting: The cook was a younger man eating something to the point where he had mayo in the corner of his mouth which honestly turned me off from continuing with my order, I Ordered the grilled chicken club with extra honey mustard, didn't get the sauce that I asked for. Stopped in for lunch since I haven't been here in a while. I ordered the jalapeño turkey crunch, and it is still so good. Soft foccacia jalapeño bread with bacon and turkey and chips yum. If you're like me, you like a little crunch, and adding chips to a sandwich is a staple. Gives it extra pizazz . The restaurant was a little untidy heoebrr it ended the lunch rush. Also, they had 3 screens out, which have the menu items. I know I haven't been in a while, but it was weird eating in complete silence. I was introduced to McAlister's as a student at the University of Houston. It was one of my favorite places to grab a bite with friends between classes. Their menu is filled with comfort food. I was sad that I wouldn't have a McAlister's nearby once I graduated, but my prayers were answered when the Katy location opened! I find myself stopping by and reliving my college memories. Some of my favorite foods to order are the King Club, McAlister's Club, California Turkey Reuben, Cajun Shrimp Po-Boy (Seasonal), BLT+A, Sweet Chipotle Chicken, Spicy Southwest Chicken, Southwest Chicken & Avocado Salad, Chef Salad, Spud Max, Chicken Tortilla Soup, Mac & Cheese, and of course - their famous Sweet Tea. I have never had such difficulty trying to order from a restaurant as I have this place. You have a beautiful menu with calories and ingredients yet, there are no prices on your items. I called into the restaurant, and the worker asked which sandwich or gave me a rough estimate of the prices. That's not helpful when you are ordering a group order and want to give the person that's going to purchase the things your total amount for your order. What am I supposed to guess how much each item cost and give the person that buying the things to less or too much money. As I suggested, redo your menu, stop making it so beautiful and add the necessary information such as how much each item cost. That's common sense! read more

This has to be the worst McAllisters I've been to. I got there and ordered at 12:16 and sat down to wait for the food. Usually I never have a issue with the food coming out promptly as I normally get a club with potato salad and a large sweet tea. But when people after me start getting there ordered it's questionable. So I asked how much longer it would be and the counter said I was the next order. But to my surprise not one not two not three but FOUR orders were taken out. At this time it was 12:48 which I had 10 mins to eat and get back to work. I finally just told the counter to bag my food as I had to just get back to work. I don't know how or why my order took the time it did but for a it to take 30+ mins it's ridiculous for a sandwich and premade sides. So disappointed! I usually love McAlister's but I went in at 8:40, which I understand is close to closing but I was ordering to go, and they were super short and not friendly at all. Tossed my food across the barrier between the kitchen and front counter. Threw my stuff in a bag to where it was upside down. My Mac and cheese has a hair in it. This place is SOO unclean it's actually disgusting. Food all over the tables and all over the floor dead bugs on the ground, looks like no one has cleaned the floors in DAYSSS. literally SUCH a health violation. We ordered food and didn't notice how unclean it was until we went to find a table...literally un-bused tables everywhere. We finally found a table that was cleaner, still had to while cribs from the seat. This lets me know someone dropped the ball in the morning and didnt prepare. Several people left once they read the sign. Also the cookies at this location have been stale all 3 times Ive been here. Service has been crap last couple of time we've visited so this will be last time we visit here. Walked in to order with my husband and son and the lady behind the counter did not greet us, talk to us or make any eye contact what so ever. The only time she spoke was to tell us the amount due. We sat and talked and waited until we couldn't help hearing the commotion in the back where the staff were preparing the food. I'm no saint, but the language they were using and loudly I might add, was uncalled for. The guy and girl back there were discussing non related work issues. To top it off, the girl had her phone in the food area..on speaker...and you could hear every word. We tried to brush it off but just couldn't help getting distracted by it. We finally got our food and it was just so so. The sanwhich was cold and the mac and cheese seemed like it had been sitting for awhile. As we are, the lady behind the counter began to clean the tables and sweep a little. She seemed upset, like throwing things behind the counter and slamming the salt and pepper down on the tables. Again, this was very hard to not get distracted by. I was just wanting to have a nice lunch with my husband and son, yet we just heard a bunch of drama and watched someone wipe off tables as if she were scrubbing the finish off of them. I won't be frequenting this location anymore as this is not the first time we've had crap service and sub par food. I do hope maybe some retraining could be done with the staff to better this place. McAlister's opens at 10:30AM, but coming in at 10:35AM the staff was not ready, the little young, curly, blonde-headed lady that took our order was rude and unprofessional asking me "what" when she was unable to hear my order, and instead of offering a cheaper alternative to my salad and soup order, because I'm not familiar with their menu she asked me if I was ordering "the salad and soup" or was I ordering a "2 for 2". Instead of explaining what that meant, she gave me a stupid look and was waiting for my answer as if I was inconveniencing her time at work. Imagine that, me, a paying customer, inconveniencing you, the employee. If it wasn't for your one employee, this would have been a great experience because I like the food and have been here often, but because of your one employee who is having a bad day, the perspective has changed. My husband wanted to try McAllisters for lunch. We decided to order a French Dip sandwich and a Grilled chicken salad. We each took one bite and deemed our choice inedible. The roast beef was so overdone it was like shoe leather and the chicken on the salad was mushy and had a strange taste to it. Our total order cost 27.00 and we literally had 2 bites. My husband informed an employee and all we were offered was for them to re make what we ordered. Since we did not expect the outcome to taste any different we left the food on the table and left. For the past several months, the quality of food and cleanliness of restaurant have gone downhill. -Floors have not been mopped or swept in months - mold on fruit, multiple times- they simply remove that one piece and give it back - fruit sent back was returned on a dirty plate- manager didn't seem to care at all We will not visit this location again...
