This is the place for fine cuts of meat that your local grocery stores may not have. My ribeye…read moresteaks were cut to my preferences instead of predetermined sizes sitting in a display case. The pork chops were as incredible as my steaks. The meat market sits in a small shopping plaza which could make it easy to miss. Meat Masters is a very clean small to moderate size shop with adequate staff. They are friendly and patient with first time customers with many questions. I'm already planning my next visit.

I'm really disappointed with the filet mignon I purchased. What should be a smooth, uniform,…read morecenter-cut filet came out looking uneven, shredded, and poorly trimmed. The pieces were inconsistent in shape and thickness, and you can clearly see ragged knife work and excess connective tissue that shouldn't be there in a premium cut. A true filet should be clean, round, and tightly trimmed, but these looked more like end scraps pressed together rather than proper medallions. For the price of filet mignon, I expect professional butchering--not rough cuts that cook unevenly. Definitely not the quality I paid for, and I won't be purchasing this cut from here again.

Anytime I want to grill, I always think of coming here to get marinated meats…read more Walk in, grab a basket and head to the back of the store to the meat counter. There you will see an array of freshly marinated meats and a huge selection of cheeses. Ask the meat guy his recommendations and explanations between the types of marinades. I recommend the: marinated beef fajita, rib (costilla) meat, chorizo links, and marinated chicken leg and thighs. Move to the right and behold the array of cheeses. I like the white (queso para quesadillas) cheese to slice up and make quesadillas on the grill. Don't be confused by the overwhelming selection of tortillas, because you'll wanna grab the bag of unmarked flour tortillas up toward the front door/cashier. For fresh salsa, ask the ladies behind the hot food counter for their 3 different types of salsas: green, red, and molcajete. There are 3 different sizes to choose from: sizes 1,2,3 (small-med-large). I love this place, for the authenticity and amazing price. I don't think I can buy the same amount of marinated meats (like 8 lbs) and hunk of cheese and fresh tortillas (with lard too, I think. yum), for under $60.

Apparently, the items look stale and unfit to consume. I'm concerned if they have proper health standard inspection reports. Also, the place is not clean making me concerned about sanitation. Additionally, the customer service was terrible. Off course, I'm not returning especially when there are far better stores in the area that follow proper health safety standards and procedures. Highly encourage everyone to verify the proper health safety protocols before making any purchases, its really not worth risking your health otherwise.
