I don't get the hype. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and some of my wife's fried spicy chicken deluxe. I heard good things about their chicken and we all know how bad grilled chicken is at other fast food places and I must say this was the same as the others. A little dry and rubbery. The spicy chicken was good but no better than Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich. Waffle fries tasted like every other French fry and if you get a woody because it is waffle cut than so be it. The waffle fries are different than regular fries because they are shaped like waffles. Mind blown... People went insane with anticipation, the lines were impossibly long, and the reviews were such that you would think they were for Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Maybe it was the hype that had me expecting more. I've always heard about Chick-fil-A and I finally had my chance. My wife got the grilled chicken sandwich while I went for the fried chicken deluxe. The line moved fast, good customer service and the food was hot. I took my first bite. Juicy fried goodness. Nothing I've never tasted before. Nothing out of this world. If I was going to rate chick fil a based on just service they would get 5 stars. Having your food brought right over to your table in a very short amount of time, having the manager come over and offer to refill your cup. This is just something you won't get at a mcdys or bk. Went to see a show at the Toyota oaksdale theater and figured this would be the best, cheapest, and quickest option available. Little did we know that the place really does have a cult following and really is outrageously delicious. The line was almost out the door and the dining area was packed. My fiancé and I didn't really understand that they bring your dine in order to your table for you, so we may have seemed inappropriately dumbfounded when we had our food brought over a the plastic tray. The food was delicious and we left with additional waffle fries because we were temporarily addicted, albeit stuffed. 'Been here a handful of times and love the Spicy Chicken Salad with Avacado Lime dressing. Just enough spice in the chicken and the toppings of tortilla chips and pepitas give it the crunch for a satisfying, relatively guilt-free (in my mind), and healthy meal! Service is always very pleasant and they keep the place clean. Just a great place for dine in or take out meals! Their sandwiches are all very good and their 3 piece nuggets make a quick and filling lunch-on-the-go. This is one of only two CfAs in CT, so don't be surprised at the large crowds. Because of that service was understandably a bit slow. However, the workers gave us special individual service, walking our food to our table and checking to see how we liked things. There was a small mistake with our order, and despite the crowd, the correct thing we had ordered was brought out to us in just a couple minutes. I went to Chick-fil-A to place a large order for my family. I ordered 1 spicy chicken deluxe meal, 3 spicy chicken deluxe sandwiches, and 2 large fries. As I got up to the drive thru, I asked if I could put in 2 more orders of chicken nuggets and the guy who served me was very accommodating. As I left the parking lot, I check my meal really quickly and noticed I had gotten 3 sandwiches which were not spicy and only had 2 pickles on them. So I went inside and explained to the staff that it was probably my mistake but I meant to order 3 spicy chicken sandwiches not regular - I did not blame the staff immediately like some customers would have, I accepted that it may have been my fault. So they refunded me for the 3 regulars and charged me 3 spicy's, which I was very nice about not expecting to get free stuff. Before leaving I check the bag again and noticed that it's the same sandwich without the lettuce, tomato and cheese. All they did was swap the chicken from regular to spicy. So I go up to the register again and I say "I'm sorry, I don't mean to bother you but where's the lettuce tomato and cheese." This one girl says "oh that's the deluxe you wanted" so I said "yes I'm sorry I didn't realize that there was 2 kinds." So the staff - a guy and a girl - that were taking care of me started talking about whether they should just give it to me or charge me. The girl rolled her eyes and the guy went over to talk to her. He then comes to me and says "we're going to charge you for the lettuce tomato and cheese but put it on the side so you can put it in yourself." At that point, I had just had it with them. It's one thing to charge me for something and fix it, but to charge and me and then tell me to fix It myself after I'm trying to get my order right for the third time. I mean where's the customer service! Before they accommodate me for wasting my time, I have to pay for all the exchanges and not even once did they even say "here's a free fries or drink for the trouble." I was so kind thru this entire process and this is the customer service I get in return. At that point, I returned the sandwiches, paid for the 3 brand new ones and walked away. I don't see myself EVER going back UPDATE 3/31/18: So it's been a few weeks and rather than Chick-fil-A reach out to me and apologize, they send me this gift card trying to buy me over! I was on my way home from West Farms Mall and decided to stop here since I still hadn't tried their food and all my friends love it. It was a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed. Calories are clearly marked on the menu and they have salads and grilled nuggets for those of us who are watching what we eat.... Love/hate summer. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with a medium lemonade and a small order of the nuggets. As I was waiting for my order one of the girls bringing out food seemed a little lost, maybe she was new? She was super friendly when she gave me my food. If I could eat these chicken nuggets every day I would, definitely recommend and will come back! Side note: If you're getting on the Merritt Parkway, exit the lot towards Circle Drive and turn left onto North Colony Road. My family and I were looking for someplace that we haven't tried before. We are rapidly growing tired of all of the typical fast food chains that focus on the assembly line mentality of getting people in and out as fast as they can and making money while letting customer service and food quality suffer. We decided to give Chick-fil-A a try and are definitely glad we did. Even though the line was out the door, we were able to order pretty quickly (within 3 minutes). I ordered the Spicy Chicken sandwich and a Cobb Salad, my wife ordered a Grilled Chicken sandwich and a side salad, and my son got Spicy chicken sandwich and waffle fries. Both of them ordered a shake. I was pleasantly surprised when we were told that they would bring the meal to our table (I guess that's how the line moves so quickly). The food was a little bit more expensive that I was expecting but after tasting the food I didn't seem to mind anymore. The staff was extremely pleasant. The only minor issue that we had was they forgot the the shakes, but that was very quickly rectified. Overall the food and service was excellent. We will definitely be back. read more

Terrible customer service. Every time I got the order is wrong. Food is missing or they give you the totally wrong order. They do not offer to fix it and hassle the customer to get the correct food. They habitually underfill the fries. The staff argues in front of the customers. Multiple complaints to chick-fil-a cares. All you receive is a canned message about how they are individually owned and operated. The Franchisee never bother to respond or address customer complaints. Customer service used to be exceptional but in the last several months has become horrible. There is something seriously wrong with the management of this location. The service here is certainly excellent and each person I dealt with was super accommodating and kind. I also didn't mind the setup or waiting a bit for the food. However I have to say Meggan A. kind of hit the nail on the head with her review because the food just was not very good. It was maybe slightly better than average fast food, so I feel it deserves the 3 stars which is "A-OK" according to the yelpometer. The spicy chicken sandwich just kind of tasted like fry oil and the bun was way too thick for the sandwich. The milkshake was weirdly icy. Like others mention, the waffle fries were a bit undercooked. So, I dunno. This isn't a negative review. All I really want to say is that if you are at home with your children or the guy or girl that you love, just spend some time and cook with them. Good: grilled chicken anything is amazing. Salads so fresh and not even remotely fast food like. Servers and cashiers are very courteous, very Barbie like. Bad: pretty pricey, but I guess there is a cost to quality. Also, maybe because they are all so young, they seem a bit clueless. I had to wait over 20 minutes inside for a meal. Then, I get home and find they didn't put the dressing in. I have gotten the same salad three times and never has it had the right accompaniments! The best chicken period. We got hooked on Chicfila in TN. look at the amount of people there at any time of day and that will tell you something. We don't drive from The shoreline to Wallingford for any other food. They excell in getting you in and served in record time, I've never had to wait too long. And for those that posted wait till the hype dies down, I've been to their locations many times down south and it is packed there anytime of the day and those restaurants have been there for years. They use the best prime chicken to start and cook it differently than anyone else. They will expand here mark my words as Kentucky fried chickens go out of business. read more

Wow. I love chic fil a but this was crazy. Stopped in when we normally don't go here and order a spicy chicken deluxe sandwich, when I took the first bite there was a large piece of clear plastic (looked like a straw wrapper or saran wrap). When I brought it to ask for a new sandwich and fries the worker apologized and gave it to me (because after I spit it out on the fries) and had to throw up in the bathroom after. When I spoke to the manager he said they couldn't offer me anything more because they "already gave me a sandwich". I was only offered a small mac and cheese or cookie. Chik-fil-a is always super clean and the staff is always extremely friendly. Let's not forget to mention the food is always amazing!

Let me first start off by saying that Chick-fil-A is one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite to eat. The staff are always friendly and they usually give you exactly what you asked for and don't mess up orders. The only complaint I do have is that they still do not allow you inside to pick up an order let alone dine in. I get the whole Covid situation but it is kind of ridiculous not to be able to go in and pick up an order. The only way to avoid the ridiculous drive-thru with people all over the place with tablets, which I will still never understand the purpose of, is to order on the mobile app which is just an inconvenience that is not necessary. There's no reason to have 20 people checking your order outside because the food is still being made slowly inside, not the best planning of how to use your staff. Kind of had to rant about that but besides the drive-through line this place is great and even though the prices might be a bit much it is always worth it because the food is amazing. read more

The food at chick-fil-a is always the same - no surprise there. There's a reason we come here at least once a week, and since it's the only one even remotely close to us, it's the one we always return to. That being said, it's our least favorite of all the chick-fil-a restaurants we've ever been to. Since it's hard to screw up the basics, I won't comment much on the food except today that never in my life have I seen a smaller dollop of whipped cream on a CFA shake than every time we get one at this store. A quarter sized dollop? What gives? Isn't it customary to fill up the whipped cream to the top? Every other one we've ever been to does this. Whenever we come here during dinner hour, it's a madhouse. No surprise there because, hey, it's CFA and the food freaking rocks. But on more than one occasion (including right now) there was one lone cashier for a huge line of people. This isn't a snow day, and there doesn't seem to be much of an explanation. That's poor planning on the managers part and when customers have been waiting over 20 min it doesn't create the best of experiences. Speaking of customer service, not sure what the deal is with this location but it totally fits the CT vibe of never going above and beyond in this area. I'm from CT so it takes one to know one, and while we generally prefer being left alone, when stepping into a place that is nationally known for its southern hospitality and general overuse of "my pleasure" (which I love, by the way), it's a bit of a let down to never once be asked if the meal is good or if we need refills. In conclusion, you can't really ever go wrong with the food here. It is what it is and it's why the place is always packed. But if you are the GM of this location, you would do yourself a huge favor by training your staff more thoroughly on customer service and by generally looking at the holes and gaps in efficiency and finding remedies for them. Horrible Customer Service. I haven't been to Chick - fil -A in over 2 years. My daughter wanted it tonight, so I thought I would try the Market Salad. My husband went through the drive thru. When he got home they didn't put in the Harvest Nut Granola or the roasted nut blend. Honestly that is the whole reason I orderd this Salad. I called up and after being on hold for 5 mins. The manager on duty said they could offer me a side salad if I pick it up in the next 2 weeks. I didn't order a side salad. I wanted the Market Salad that I ordered that didn't come with everything that it was supposed to come with. We live in Meriden so I wasn't going to drive back to Wallingford. The right thing to do which would have made the situation right would have been offering the correct salad that I ordered and paid for with everything that it is supposed to come with.
