Newbie Alert.. I have ridden by this placw hundreds of times and I decided to check it out. Not at all what I expected.. in a good way. So different and a breath of fresh air. Lots of goodies to check out and buy on addition to what's on the menu. Menu was ok, I am sure you can find something to your liking. Portions are large for the price. They have a deck outside and had music starting a little after we were leaving. I was in the general area and discovered Moose's via Yelp search. It's located near the Merritt and 91 intersection. They have creative burgers, dogs, chicken sandwiches and some mains. It's located in a house-like structure with a nice patio. I didn't spend much time inside, but I think there was a small dining area. I ate on the patio. Service was friendly. I ordered a Black and Blu Burger and thin cut fries. The crispy fries were a highlight. The 1/3 pound burger was topped with bacon, Gorgonzola and Black Garlic Mayo. The burger was in between a smash burger size and a bigger restaurant style of patty. It was good, but didn't pop in terms of juiciness or flavor like the best burgers. Certain bites were a bit too salty in effect because of the bacon and Gorgonzola. But the Black Garlic Mayo was sweeter and helped balance the flavors. The brioche bun was fresh. We made it back. It's still frighteningly small as seemed more noticeable by the live music. I liked the music and the guy playing. I was hoping to play a tune or two myself. In a place so small the amplifier is just too much. Impossible to have a dinner conversation. Got to try three additional special burgers all just as tasty as the two we had the first time we went. There is absolutely no reason to rate Moose's anything less than a five. Before Moose's moved to town, it was a Mexican restaurant, but you would never guess from the current decor. We opted to eat inside since it was a little cool the night we dined. Of course we will be trying the patio seating next time. Inside there were plenty of tables and at 5:15 pm we had our pick of seats. We were greeted with a well seasoned basket of popcorn that we enjoyed while waiting for our meals. We both dove right into our delicious meals. I had the Rise N Shine, a perfectly done burger with an expertly cooked egg, yummy sauce and fresh bun. It was a hard decision for the side, but I went traditional and ordered the regular fries. The fries were crispy and lightly salted. My friend ordered the Bacon Jam and Cream Cheese Burger and a side of super cheesy mac. After watching her enjoy her meal, I think this will be what I try next. Even though I only finished half of my burger and some of my fries, we left room for dessert. I chose the warmed apple crisp. A greatly enjoyed indulgence. The perfect portion size and nothing short of amazing...but, maybe I'll add ice cream next time. My friend had the chocolate peanut butter pie. She said it was very good. If eating in, drinks are sold by the bottle and brought to your table. Silverware is provided if your meal requires it (or you can ask for it). I ordered takeout last Saturday for dinner. The food was ready pretty quickly. Food ordered: the huckleberry burger, hot dog, Mac and cheese, huckleberry cheesecake and apple crisp. I enjoyed my burger - there was lots of sauce and goat cheese. The hot dog was nicely dressed. The Mac and cheese tasted homemade - it even had some burnt edges - my favorite! I didn't try the apple crisp, but the other person loved it. I had half of the cheesecake - it was very rich. There was some seating indoors and the ambiance was casual and a little cozy. Placed an order at 7:10pm for a cheeseburger and grilled chicken bacon ranch sandwich with a side of fries (extra $5) for pickup. I Arrived right on time with no wait for my order at 7:35. I thought I ordered the hamburger but evidently I got one Patti no cheese was all right. I would never get that again, and the fries were saturated and oil the curly fries. So now the feedback given in love - the outside of the building is rough, let's be honest. It looks filthy and there is construction material sitting around the lot. The sides of the building have rust or filth crusted on it. Fixing that likely takes money you don't have. That being said, some extra effort on the inside to counter that image goes a long way. Take some time to clean the BBQ, mustard, ketchup bottle tops so that they look fresh and new. Crank open one or two of them and see what I'm taking about! When you walk into your place it has an overwhelming smell of grease. We were offered outdoor seating and took it just because we needed the air. Put some exhaust fans in your windows.
