Of the three major national fast food burger chains (McDonalds, Burger King, & Wendy's), Wendy's is consistently the least objectionable for me. That's NOT to say it's good food, just the least objectionable of those three. McDonalds comes in second only because they've begun using never frozen hockey pucks, but ONLY in their quarter pound sandwiches. Burger King? FUGGETABOUTIT! read more

Wow! I was WARNED about this location by a friend but stopped anyway! BIG MISTAKE. First let's start with the outward appearance which is shabby, dirty-looking and the driveway is full of holes and craters. Then, the drive thru speaker was dreadful and inaccurate. Finally, my burger was absolutely ICE COLD and the bun was stale!!! I don't know why Wendy's HQ hasn't tried to save their very reputable product by not closing this location but anyone reading this should really seek out another place to buy their burgers. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!! read more

The reason I do mobile orders for fast food is because I don't like condiments and a written order is easier to undestand than hearing a spoken order. So when I order 2 chicken sandwiches without mayonnaise, and the receipt says no mayo, then you would think it would be easy to to get that right? Not at this Wendy's... Guess its okay for them to make you wait almost 10 minutes, and then give you what they want to give you and how they want to give it to you... If this were my local home Wendy's, then I just wouldn't be eating Wendy's anymore. Nobody wants to deal with this kind of issue, especially at 1 in the morning... read more

Wendy's - Burgers Near Me - Wallingford, Connecticut

This place is just flat out embarrassing. The customer service is the worst I've seen in a long time. I take my son to Wendy's on Fridays to get Frosties and talk about our week. We usually go to the one in Plantsville, which is a nice location. Today we were in Wallingford, so we went to this location. Big mistake. Even though I was the only one in line, it took the staff 10 minutes to acknowledge me. It took them five more minutes to produce the two Junior Frosties I ordered. That's 15 total minutes for two Junior Frosties. Yup. But wait...there's more. The staff member that took my order was not in uniform, never gave me a receipt, and complained to her coworkers about having to work the front. When my food arrived, she just put it down in front of me and walked away without saying a word. While we ate, three other staff members hung out in the dining room, talking loudly. One was wearing sunglasses the whole time. My standards are pretty low for "fine-ness" of fast food dining, but this place is a total joke. read more

We were running behind schedule for a metal show at Oakdale Center just down the road. Had options for lots of fast food. Chose Wendys as it hard to screw up what they have. This place had plenty of workers and no customers? The best part of this place was the older gentleman that took our order and checked on us multiple times. He reminded us to fill out the survey numerous times. Food: we made our order and food was out in seconds...wife ordered a double with no cheese that took a bit more time. Must have taken them a few moments to remove the cheese. All of our food was cold...I felt like I was eating a cold beef Patty sub. I normally like Wendy's fries...not today. This place was clean and the person taking our order was very nice... thus the 3 star rating. He is the star! Food was not freshly prepared...was like food from a school cafeteria. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I go through the drive through and I am just trying to order my food and all I am getting is attitude on the other side. The cashier just keeps loudly saying anything else like its a bother I am ordering food. I pull up the the window and the guy must be having the worst day in history. I get my bags and I ask, is that it? just to make sure and I get the biggest eye roll of all time and a deep sigh followed by a Yeah! So needless to say I will never be going back there and please just save yourself and avoid this wendys. read more

My only wish as that Yelp would all zero stars. We visited this location (against our better judgement). The dining room had zero people in it, yet we still waited 20 minutes for 2 sandwiches. Several other customers came in while I waited and when I finally got our food, the order was wrong. I went back up to the counter and said "Excuse me" several times. After the older when I finally got someone I asked for some honey mustard because I was given the wrong sandwich. He argued and I told him they took the order wrong. He had someone make the right sandwich (in seconds mind you) then proceeded to exit the kitchen and lock all the dining room doors. He told the older gentleman who asked for a manger to leave and told me I could do the same. If I had an employee who was on staff (let alone a manager) act like this, I'd fire him on the spot. This is a horrific location that makes the gulag look like a 5 star restaurant. If people don't like dealing with the public, they shouldn't work retail or food service. Absolutely deplorable. read more

I get leery when I have to walk into an establishment with only a 2 star rating on Yelp. Nevertheless, my experience at Wendy's today wasn't actually bad at all. The guy taking my order was really friendly and didn't actually act like he hated his job (the common theme to fast food chains and other retail shops), LOL. One of the best things I enjoy ordering is the 4 for $4, probably one of the best deals you could get at any of these chains. Right now (8/23) they're offering 50¢ frosties! Expect to only get vanilla though because their chocolate runs out fast! The place is overall pretty clean, if anything the tables are a little sticky. Bathrooms are clean as well. read more

Hire new workers. The current ones are both rude and unable to do their jobs. they served 2 people in 40 minutes when I went.

They don't know how to give someone what they order and will replace things without permission. Never returning to this location.

I gave this place 3 tries before leaving a poor review because I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. In my last 3 visits here between December and January, I received the wrong order once after waiting 15 minutes behind 1 other customer. I waited another 15 to get the correct order. The next time I ordered a chicken sandwich and a frosty. Took about 20 minutes and I was, again, behind 1 other person. The third time (you guessed it) after waiting for an abnormal amount of time, I had Mayo all over the burger I specifically asked for no Mayo on. The workers seemed aggravated when I asked for a new one. I heard one person say quietly, can't he just scrape it off? it takes a lot for me to leave a poor review but I will never return to this Wendy's. read more

It was hard for this location to get the order correct. Had to remake my sandwich and they didn't know how to correctly make the blueberry pineapple tea. The drink lacked blueberry. When I called attention to it, while they offered to make another, they didn't see any thing wrong with it. I said never mind but will not be a repeat customer to this location. read more

Wendy's - This is supposed to be a blueberry pineapple tea. It is usually much darker in color meaning this drink lacks blueberry. It tasted weak. - Burgers Near Me - Wallingford, Connecticut

Almost every time they mess up my order or forget something entirely and still charge me

I have never ever been to a less sanitary establishment. I'm literally shocked this location has not been shut down. We rarely go here and gave it another try tonight. They ran out of kids toys for happy meals, had no ketchup, and my daughter's burger was ice cold. We found the one table that wasn't covered in grime only to find out the ceiling was leaking onto us. The baseboards were moldy, heavy mildew smell and warped wood. Garbage all over the floor. I need a shower after eating here. read more

Well won't be coming to this Wendy's location anymore. The line was so long and nobody was at the intercom to collect orders. Then when I finally get my food I bite into it and find a giant piece of paper they must haven't removed from the cheese or burger. Absolutely disgusting , don't understand how these food chains don't pay attention to what there doing. Won't be going here EVER again . read more

The staff here is not the best they take forever to give you tour food or either forget your waiting also mix up your orders

I just came from this Wendy's and my experience was poor. It was absolutely terrible. There was a train stopping by and I had asked the lady to please hold on because I could not hear her and she's screaming through the intercom and I get home to look at my food and it is wrong. They say they do not have frosty floats at night time which does not make sense because if you can give me ice cream why can't you add Dr Pepper to it? Also I asked for a large fry and I got the smallest fry and I am highly disappointed. I do not recommend at all I wouldn't buy this food for my dog if it could eat it. read more

I was fine with waiting, they are understaffed after all. The issue I have is that when I have to ask twice to get the rest of my order and I still don't get all of it, there is a problem. I didn't get all of my order and the customer before me had the same issue (I was waiting for my order to be taken and overheard the conversation). I think this is an issue with not properly training the employees, and the food was still good (for fast food), so I'm giving a 3 star. If you bother them to make sure they give you what you order and have a lot of time on your hands, it's not a bad place to go. read more

I used to go to Wendy's all the time. It was my go to fast food joint. I have been there maybe 4 times since the last post in hopes that things have changed well... nothing has changed. Service staff, quality and cleanliness have become nonexistant. Why should I ever give Wendy's my business again? As far as I am concerned it all comes.down to management. If I was in charge I promise that place would sparkle and the personel and quality control would be impeccable. My previous comment still stands and although funny - It Is 100% True. I would never leave a 1 star unless I have had bad experiences 99.9% of the time. Sad that the one place I once frequented on a weekly basis has turned to dirt. read more

I live in Wallingford and don't go to Wendy's often but I do love their food. There has not been a time that I have gone and had a pleasant experience, not even a somewhat decent one. Today, I was greeted at the drive thru with "what do you want to order" then when I appeared in the window to pay and receive my food, the employee did not greet me, even after I said "hi", nor did she say "you're welcome" after I said "thank you". I even looked at her and waited for some kind of smile or acknowledgement. I would write into the company with this but I didn't get a receipt upon paying. Not looking for five star service but I work with people all day and would never act like that. read more

Wendy's - Burgers Near Me - Wallingford, Connecticut

We ordered a number 10, a 4 for 4 (chicken BLT), and a chicken sandwich. They gave us a number 8 instead of a 10, the chicken sandwich had bacon, and the BLT did not have bacon. We went back three times to correct the order; each time the cashier and cook were rude, argumentative, and did not offer to replace (or refund) the incorrect items (so in the end we paid MORE for what we wanted). By the time we got the order mostly correct (they could not get the bacon correct) our food was cold. Other people before, after, and driving through, also had to go back multiple times for their incorrect orders--none of them were corrected fully. I will not return to this restaurant, I HIGHLY recommend you train your staff correctly (or hire people who competently can work and speak any language), and I seriously frown upon Wendy's as a brand now. read more

Worst wendy's i've ever been too, there are 2 customers here and we had to wait 25 minutes for our Frosty's to be made. On top of that we saw an employee sitting in the dining area eating while the other one was trying to do everything. read more

The Wendy's on 674 N. Colony Rd in Wallingford,ct has to be the most unorganized place around. Cashier asked us three times what we were ordering, which when we got our order was completely screwed up, this was after waiting over 20mins then told that there were no fries or chicken tender's- waited another 10mins for that - salad was old - People ahead of us returned $45.00 worth of food because it was cold - Cannot imagine how much food is thrown out everyday here- The staff has an attitude that they don't want to be there - the manager is clueless - would never go back there again- should of stayed away when we noticed no one was in the place- read more

How does Wendy's allow this place to continue to operate? This particular Wendy's is filthy. There's trash all over the floor, the carpet is worn out, the tables are filthy with old food and the bathrooms are also dirty. The funny thing is, we were the only two people in there at the time while at least 3 women were "working." No one cleaning tables. No one sweeping. No one checking bathrooms. I can only imagine what else they aren't doing. I'll never come back here again, that's for sure. read more

This Wendy's has really gone down hill lately. The last two visits were very disappointing. First of these two most recent visits, our food was stale and lukewarm. After we were served, a couple of would be customers came in and waited several minutes without service and eventually left. And then during our most recent visit, my girlfriend and I waited about five minutes in a line at the counter and received no service. We left like the people we saw last time we were there and went to McDonald's where we had much better service. This place is also rather dirty and smelly lately too. Used to love coming here but not anymore. The Meriden Wendy's is significantly better by the way too. read more
