$10 for this??? Really! Only in America!

Wow really....$10 for this sandwich. What a joke...God Bless America with all its over pricing inflation and now I get to spend $10 for a slice of cheese and two pieces of meat. Looks exactly like the store advertising pictures. I will NEVER be back here again!

DiBella's Subs is our to go restaurant for grinders. their bread is coming out of the oven many times daily. their toppings are always fresh, and so many to choose from. DiBella's staff is always so friendly, outgoing, and knowledgeable. We live in Naugatuck, Connecticut and drive 25-30 ( depending on which DiBella's we are going to eat at ) minutes to enjoy one of those humongous subs .... well worth the drive! if you've never eaten at a DiBella's Sub shop, you should give it a try, for you won't be disappointed.

"Upscale Subway" Take a Subway sub shop and quadruple the size, enhance the decor, replace with better ingredients, and you now have DiBella's. It doesn't have that old school incredible smell of a real neighborhood Italian deli. But they do put out a decent product. Not great, but decent. It has the same assembly line concept as Subway, whereas you pick your own bread and condiments, and then proceed down the line to the cashier. I ordered a medium "Godfather". The basic ingredients are genoa salami, capicola, and spicy ham. Then I added provolone, lettuce, tomato, roasted red peppers, hot peppers, and oil & vinegar on an everything roll. It was a good sandwich. Would I go back? Only if I'm driving by it. I wouldn't deliberately drive to DiBella's as a destination to eat.

Whatever you call it; Sub, Grinder, Hoagie, Hero, Po'Boy, Spuckie, it's still just a sandwich. Being from CT, I was raised calling this type of sandwich, a grinder. You can find a grinder just about anywhere; from a chain like Subway to the grocery store, to your local pizza shop. Then, along comes DiBella's, and blows them all out of the water. DiBella's starts with freshly made, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside bread. They even offer an "Everything" bread. You have a choice of hot or cold subs. The meat is alway fresh and lean. The cheese and veggie choices are always fresh. It took me a few visits to get the condiments figured out. I take mine with a little of everything; light mayo, spicy mustard and their special oil. So yummy! They offer 3 sizes; small, medium and large. Small is perfect for 1 person. The medium is great for someone with a larger appetite. The large is for those of us that would enter a hot dog eating contest. Me? I'm somewhere between a small and medium. A small is always the safer choice. When given a choice, DiBella's always beats out those other chain grinder shops.

Ordered a Godfather sub on everything bread. This bread is delicious and the meats are capicolla, salami, spicy ham (not sure what this is), and provolone. Very good sandwich. Now the bad... Empty tables were dirty. It was not busy either. Last thing, I walked into the rest room and an employee was texting on his cell. I walked out waited a few minutes but he stayed in there. I was sitting eating when he finally came out. I like this place except the tables being dirty and the restroom incident.

Mehhhhhhhh..... Went in for the first time and ordered 2 steak and Cheese subs. Overall, the sub is nothing to talk about- it was very bland, no seasoning, and didn't taste all that great. I did however like the "everything" bread, it was delicious. I do have to say the customer service here was fantastic. The people working there are very nice and polite.... I am unsure if I would go back based on the sub I had today, maybe if I tried something else it would be more flavorful??? Not too excited after today's visit.

My first time at this place. The subs are huge. A bit expensive but it's worth it. I had The Godfather. It was a good choice.

Just finished a full Philly cheesesteak and it definitely hit the spot. I went with onions,…read morepeppers, cherry peppers, and light mayo--the flavors were spot on. The Highlights: * Proportions: Excellent meat-to-topping ratio. They don't skimp on the steak, which is always the biggest test. * Flavor: The cherry peppers added a great kick that cut through the richness of the meat and mayo perfectly. * Quality: A really solid, hearty sandwich that feels worth the order. One Small Note: The full sub comes as one continuous sandwich. If you're looking to split it or just prefer smaller halves, you'll want to grab a knife or ask them to slice it for you, as mine came uncut. Overall, a great lunch spot if you're craving an authentic-feeling Philly. I'll definitely be back!

Krave Cheesesteaks has had a lot of good buzz from the CT Foodie, Blogger and Instagram Community…read more I was recently able to visit for lunch. I live in the Hartford area, Krave certainly has one of the better cheesesteaks within a reasonable driving distance. The seating area has two person tables. They were both full most of the time I was there. Luckily, one was opening up as my cheesesteak was done and I was able to eat there. They could fit one more 2 person table there, and that seems like a good idea from what I saw. Service was friendly. I ordered a cheesesteak, which automatically comes with onions, Cherry peppers, whiz and American Cheese. I added sweet peppers, mushrooms, Mamba Sauce (described as a sweet hot sauce) and mayo. The steak was obviously fresh. It was maybe cut a bit thicker and coarser than many places. My preference would be a touch thinner. I also could have used a bit more seasoning on the steak itself. I was looking forward to the cherry pepper flavor, but it didn't stand out. I wonder if they misunderstood and substituted the sweet peppers for the cherry peppers instead of including both. The bread was about average for a cheesesteak. I think there's an opportunity to level up there. The other toppings were generally good. I've heard good things about the "salmon steak" and the "shrimp steak". I'll possibly be back to try the shrimp steak at some point. 4.25 Stars

Onto the drinks and food which were so delicious and truly enjoyable. I got the Beachy Bee Iced Latte special, which is a honey vanilla latte with a coconut cold foam and toasted coconut on top (simply divine)! My fiancé got the cappuccino which was made just to his liking, and he's a coffee connoisseur. For food, I had the Bumble, which I highly recommend, with scrambled eggs, subbed with the gluten free sourdough bread (+$2 up-charge) and cheddar instead of American cheese. It's served all day and had so much flavor with that garlic butter, and the seasoned steak. Yum! If you are gluten free like me, you will appreciate that they have the gluten free sourdough bread or a gluten free wrap to substitute with. My partner had the Basic Bee with bacon and thought it was flavorful with light and fluffy scrambled eggs that complimented the bacon well. Overall, I would really recommend this place if you're looking for a breakfast or lunch in Wallingford!

I normally try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but our experience at The Bees Knees Bistro…read morein Wallingford was honestly very disappointing and upsetting. My family and I arrived while it was raining outside with our young daughters in strollers, expecting to sit down for a meal and get out of the weather. Instead, we were told we could not come in with the strollers and essentially felt unwelcome the moment we walked through the door. As parents of babies who are still too young to sit safely in high chairs on their own, the strollers are not optional for us , they are necessary. We were not being disruptive, rude, or inconsiderate. We were simply trying to have a meal as a family. Rather than attempting to accommodate us or show any understanding, we were left feeling like having children made us an inconvenience. What made the situation even worse was the fact that it was pouring outside. Any level of kindness or flexibility would have gone a long way. Instead, we felt embarrassed, frustrated, and honestly shocked by the lack of compassion and customer service. Families with young children already face enough challenges going out in public, and experiences like this make it even harder. We ended up leaving and taking our business somewhere else that was far more welcoming and understanding toward families. It is disappointing because we were genuinely looking forward to trying this restaurant, but first impressions matter. A restaurant does not need to be "kid-centered" to still treat parents and babies with basic respect and decency. I completely understand that restaurants may have space limitations or policies, but there is a respectful and compassionate way to handle situations like this. Instead, the experience came across as cold and dismissive. There are many restaurants in the area that are happy to accommodate families, and moving forward those are the businesses I will continue to support. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant to families with infants or children who still require strollers or extra accommodations. I wont be going back and giving them .you business, nor will I be recommending this place to anyone. Totally rude and discrimination towards those with babies. I did not feel cherished like their website says every guest is. Its sad because this will and im sure does effect their business. I will never give them my business after yesterday. No attempts at accommodating us or evening offering to let us sit outside, lazy staff, but yet there were 3 teenage girls taking names for the wait list. What a joke.
