One plausible though less than logical explanation is the price difference between a 1/2 and a full grinder was a mere $2.50. In any case, our combo grinder was filled at my direction with a variety of cold cuts, lettuce, tomatoes, roasted red peppers and provolone cheese. In fact, it was so filled that I could not finish my half causing me to package up enough leftover meat and cheese to serve as hors d'oeuvres for the following night's happy hour. The sole negative was the grinder was so generously filled that the roll burst at its seams before I could completely fill my belly.
