I love the soups and the tomatoes mozzarella mix and the marinated mushrooms. They have a great kids meal deal for under 10 dollars. I love the chicken cutlets plain and buffalo. That are thicker always most . They are always so friendly. I love the drive thru very convenient. They have great salads and desserts . Small inside but clean . Enjoy Chris m read more

Nardelli's Grinder Shoppe - Drive thru menu - Sandwiches Near Me - Meriden, Connecticut

Great selection of grinders as well as a case full of different salads and things. The desert selection is also solid for a grinder shop! The guy behind the counter did a great job asking me the right questions so I was sure to get what I wanted. Overall the service was quick, by the time I selected the cannoli that I wanted my grinder was already made and ready for check out. The atmosphere is great, clean, friendly and accommodating. Not much more to ask for. read more

Stopped in while traveling via a recommendation. They had an amazing selection of fresh foods and house made desserts to choose from. I went with the Italian Combo and it was huge and filled with meat and toppings. The bread was fresh and warm. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Also grabbed a Snickers Cheescake and Fresh Dill Pickle to try out. The place was clean and well lit. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area. read more

Good quality food, dessert, drinks, and snacks. Glad I stopped in before getting on the Merritt to head back to Fairfield county. It was close to closing and the staff was great. What a team. My grinder was like woah. I got everything on it. The bread was fresh. I got the carrot cake and those buckeyes I think, or whatever they are called, they are poppable peanut butter chocolate balls of yummy addiction. Birch beer soda and chips. I was hangry till I bit into that grinder. Glad I saw them. read more

Inspired by a fellow Yelpers review earlier today on his stop at a Naugatuck Nardelli's, I stopped by today for a sandwich. This Meriden location happens to be a 5-minute drive from my house and I needed something quick before running a meeting at 5:45pm. As soon as I entered, I was greeted. There is a large selection of hot and cold sandwiches, and other prepared foods, but I was in the mood for a cold sandwich with cold cuts, which I rarely eat. I ordered a club with turkey, ham and American cheese. I added mayo, lettuce and tomato. Pretty straightforward, and like I mentioned, I rarely order cold sandwiches from anywhere. The sandwich was good, and while today I wasn't really in the mood for anything else, they had a large selection of salads, sides and desserts. I'll definitely be back for those! I actually had to eat this in the car in my way to the meeting, and it was pretty neat - nothing fell out! read more

Nardelli's Grinder Shoppe - Italian Combo Whole Grinder - Sandwiches Near Me - Meriden, Connecticut

There are few things better than a good sandwich. And Nardelli's provides that. After a long day of car-based socially-distant sightseeing, I wanted something quick that I could easily eat in my hotel room. I ordered a whole roast beef grinder online for in-store pickup from my hotel room. By the time I got to the restaurant, dinner was waiting and back to the hotel I went. The whole sandwich I ordered was...large, to say the least. Large enough that 2/3 of it had me full and the remainder could be breakfast the next morning. A lot of sandwich places skimp on the meat (cough...Subway) and Nardelli's does not. Hot sauce isn't something I normally put on a cold cut sandwich, but it worked. $12 for a sandwich is a tad pricey, but for 2 meals, it worked out. Does this mean I have another Connecticut restaurant to make sure I visit when in the state? Maybe it does... read more

They NEVER get it right.......first of all you should know that a lot of the newer Nardelli's are franchises, this is not owner operated by the family chain we all love. This is the WORST Nardelli's in CT. We have tried them all!!! We have tried this location multiple times order is always wrong. Such a shame because they have a drive through and it's convenient , location is right off the highway. We really wanted it to be good....it just never is.... Our last order was three Grinders after repeating the toppings three times and giving a paper in writing, (we knew to do this from past bad experiences) 2 out of three were incorrectly made. Very sloppy and soggy upon receipt. Management is poor their pride and staple with the chain is to get the order correct by a verbal order. Not here the orders are ALWAYS wrong. Drive the extra 10 minutes and go to Wallingford location, the service is always great and the food orders are on point. Shame on this location for discrediting the family name. read more

Great Italian grinder. Could have used a bit more Mayo (I'll order extra next time). Maybe some oil and vinegar.

Stopped here for dinner on our way to NYC. I had the plant based Italian sandwich which was delicious! Since cutting meat from my diet I miss deli sandwiches sometimes, and this really hit the spot. We ordered ahead online and everything in our order was correct. Would definitely visit this or another nardellis location next time I'm in CT. read more

Ordered the hot turkey/ham half grinder. Couldn't have just provolone cheese because the grinder was premade with both provolone and cheddar. After heating up the grinder the cheddar was like a sauce. Not appetizing to me at all. Couldn't eat it. The service was fine. read more

Ordered an Italian combo with lettuce, tomato, raw onion, and hot peppers. Somehow they put mayonnaise on the sandwich. I found when I arrived home. Not sure how they could get this wrong. It was pretty easy. I'm afraid to open the turkey club I also purchased. I threw it out. Very discouraging. Ordering a pizza now. I called back asking for a manager. ..same person who hung up on me. She said she thought I hung up! Fabrication. I asked for a refund for the Italian sandwich and she said ok I will see if my credit card is refunded. This place is off the list So I called them. Said I can bring it back and have another. Sorry I am not driving back. Girl said I'm sorry about that. I asked ok so that's it? Woman who answered the phone hung up! Very nice customer service. I know it's a franchise so I am hoping the owner read this and corrects the problem. read more

Fast service. When I was looking at the menu, was not hurried. Food was fresh and good. Had a chicken parmigiana with America Cheese. Could have had provolone at no extra charge. Large portion and reasonable price. Saw that orders can be placed online. They open at 9AM! Love to get lunch food early. read more

Gotten food poisoning. After eating buffalo chicken grinder, grinder was good but the after math was not.

I think this location has changed quite a bit. The past 4 or 5 visits, the same employee has assembled the sandwiches, leaving out key ingredients. Not including hot sauce when requesting "everything". Left out chipotle, cheese, hot sauce on the fire braised chicken wrap. 30 bucks later and feeling cheated read more

Went to the Nardelli's shop in Meriden on East Main Street. The staff was friendly and helpful. The sandwiches were well made and the salad was dress. I recommend the house salad dressing for both salad and grinder dressing... yum:) Also, the service was fast. All around happy with my experience. read more

This place used to be my favorite spot for grub close by. Lately it's just been bad. There seems to be a revolving door of new employees, and apparently they aren't being trained right. Wait time has increased, I walked in one time and 2 employees were arguing right in front of me. The last 3 times I have been there I've had every sandwich made wrong. This isn't rocket science ladies and gents. If I say I just want lettuce and hot peppers, that doesn't mean throw that everything blend on there. Like are people on drugs there now? I had one girl ask me 4 times what I wanted on my sandwich. Seriously? Get it together because now I just go to Jersey Mikes. read more

I usually love Nardelli's but after todays experience I may never go back. Simple ordered a steak and cheese grinder and a Buffalo chicken grinder and asked if it could be ready at a specific time which was about an hour away and they said this was no problem. When I arrived an hour later they hadn't even started making the sandwich yet. I was in no rush so I didn't mind waiting but there was not a single soul in the store or drive through and everyone working seemed to be bored while I stood there and waited for my subs. My other complaint is I specifically asked for "Everything" on my two grinders and they even confirmed with me that I wanted everything on it. To my surprise when I got home I opened up one of the sandwiches and it was 2 pieces of Buffalo chicken on bread. No sauce, no lettuce, tomato none of the stuff that they advertise / usually put on the sub when you ask for everything. I wish I had taken a picture of this but I was so hungry i just went into my fridge and added my own toppings. Really sad, I use to love this place. read more

The nardelli's franchise has me torn- they do one sandwich really freaking good and its the italian combo on panini bread. It has the perfect combo of italian meats and the panini bread is like real italian bread. I dont even know why they have the other bread. Other than the fact that they charge you extra for the panini bread. I just paid 11 bucks for a full of this sandwich (the other half is my dinner!) Everything else I have got from there has been disappointing. Sorry microwaved chicken is just not good...Also I'm not a fan of their "everything" mix. Made that mistake once. Overall that one sandwich is like a 5 but everything else a 2 so i settled on a 3 since i do go regularly for the italian combo. People are also always very friendly. read more

I always get the veggie grinder, which includes roasted peppers, marinated mushrooms, pickles, and artichoke hearts. I stopped by recently and they have grinders now that have plant-based meats like the plant-based Italian combo but personally, I would skip the hot sauce. They have the only store-bought tortellini salad that I like, because it's not vinegary. read more

Love Nardelli's!! When I moved to the area, everyone talked about this place and I didn't get it. Well, I'm officially a Nardelli's fan. I feel like I can never go back to Subway. This place has the biggest, best grinders, fresh pasta salads, cannolis and desserts and buckeyes which are such a treat. Staff are friendly and helpful. They have glutton free options, veggie options and MEAT options (can you tell I'm a carnivore?). This place is also my go to on weeknights we don't feel like cooking. A whole sub definitely feeds two but rarely do we want to share because it's that good. Love my local Nardelli's!! read more

Great Deli!!! Super Sized Food!!!! Will definitely be stopping by the next time I'm In town.

Excellent food, overflowing flavor, and unique use of vegetables. Friendly atmosphere and great for all family occasions

Fresh food and good service. I only do takeout from restaurants but there are a few seats for two or four

Since our kids moved from Philly to Portland, Me, we have been collecting our fav spots for road food on the 7-8 hour trip. This place rocked. Ordered from the car-got there quicker than expected but the sandwich (one large italian grinder for the two of us) was ready, waiting. It's a good thing we didn't wait to order till we got there since we would have bought enough stuff for 6 meals-everything in the display cases looked awesome. The staff was super friendly, the sandwich was a bargain. Oh.....and that grinder was dee-lish!!! Excellent meats and cheeses, dynamite roll and fresh, hot banana peppers. read more

First I'll state, I am not a big cold cut fan. But the location was great since I'd just drove 5 hours from Baltimore and just wanted to get into my hotel room. So I had the American Cold Cut and it was awesome. There was loads of meat and fixings on my sandwich. I opted for the full cold cut because I am a big guy and it was almost too much for me. I am not a fan of Subway at all and that's who I am able to compare this place to. They are way better and a much better bang for your buck. I'd love to see this place in Baltimore. read more

Best Italian deli in Northeast!! Always excited to be in CT cause I'm gonna be easting a Nardelli's Italian grinder!

AWFUL PLACE!!! They made 2 out of 3 of my sandwiches incorrectly. I noticed this after I arrived home 40 minutes away. Called to tell them. The manager Dante was extremely rude and WOULD NOT GIVE ME A REFUND!! HE wanted me to drive back to Meriden from Westport to get the correct ones! Really??? He was totally unprofessional and then hung up on me. I will have to file a complaint with AMEX to get my money back. read more

Nardelli's Grinder Shoppe - Italian Combo W. Ketchup Chips - Sandwiches Near Me - Meriden, Connecticut

Food elements were delicious, BUT, as I didn't get what I ordered, resulting in a dry sandwich, so I can't give it more than 2-stars. I asked my coworker to order for me the eggplant chicken with marinara and with everything else listed on the eggplant chicken on the menu item (which means, quoting from the menu: "L&T, Cheese, Classic Mix™ (diced veggies) & Hot Sauce, Olives". I got a tasty cutlet, eggplant, cheese, marinara, and NO VEGGIES AT ALL (except the eggplant). Given the thickness of the bread, this makes the sandwich very very unbalanced, and honestly quite dry. Rosa's Deli in Wallingford does a better marinara job, by far. So does Subway. Apparently, my coworker said to the person making the sandwich "and everything else" and she looked confused, and didn't, apparently, ask him any clarifying questions. Therefore, nobody had the opportunity to find out if I really wanted lettuce covered in marinara (maybe not, but, I did want the veggies, olives, and hot sauce). He does have a witness to these events, as another coworker went with him. Re-reading the menu, if this happens to be an issue of comma abuse / semicolon lack / parenthetical phrase ambiguity, you might want to grab your nearest hungry English teacher and get that worked out. The list copied from the menu offers only one option - Marinara OR Mayo, with the rest of the items presumably on both options. "Marinara Sauce OR Mayo, L&T, Cheese, Classic Mix™ (diced veggies) & Hot Sauce, Olives" We will probably go back, as the food is tasty, but, PLEASE TRAIN YOUR STAFF. DO NOT EXPECT YOUR CUSTOMERS TO DO YOUR MANAGEMENT FOR YOU. read more
