If I could give 0 I would. I have used moving helpers 5 times now and this was horrible. I was originally scheduled for 11 am on Saturday. They called and confirmed they'd be there the day before. The day of I called them at 11:15 and was told their drivers broke down and the manager was going to pick them up and they would be there in 1 hour. At 130 I called back to see if they were still coming. Then I was told that the drivers were actually in a car accident and one hurt himself pretty bad. They asked if they could reschedule for the next morning. I was very understanding and said no problem. He said he would call me first thing. At 11 am the next day I tried texting and calling and no answer. They completely left me hanging. Horrible way to do business. Be honest and just say you can't make it. read more

10 STARS if I could!!! These guys were amazing! They were a little late due to a move prior that went longer than expected, however called well in advance to let us know. They called when they were on their way and then arrived and got to work immediately. They did great work, had to do 3 loads because my dumb butt got a smaller truck than I should have. They were respectful, listened and had great customer service and care. They could have left after their alotted time, but they didn't, they stayed until the job was done. The movers never showed up and I probably called their office number like 60 times but no one picked up. And this is all after I got the confirmation text from Danny. This resulted in waste of all my planning and ended up paying extra for the truck I rented plus the extra day fees for the apartment I was supposed to leave. These are the WORST movies I've ever seen. Not only was u furniture pretty much thrown on the truck, and had so much damage to prove it. Of course charged more than original quote and took twice as long to load. This was in May and I'm still trying to get them to just pay a tiny portion for damages. I used them in Oct 2020 to move from Chicago to Golden CO. I thought they were people w/integrity and we did get moved. BUT due to unforseen circumstances they needed a vehicle to return to Chicago. since i was going to sell my car in CO anyway I sold it to Danny, the owner. Since then it has been a nightmare. He was supposed to remove and return my plates to me but never did & now accumulating multiple tickets illegally driving w/my plates which I actually had revoked by the Sec of State's office in Oct 2020. He has shown he has NO INTEGRITY as he does not respond to my texts or calls & is still illegally driving the vehicle without completing his registration of the car and with the plates still on it. We booked Chicago Speedee Movers through UHaul's Moving Help site. Our job was confirmed by them. Moving day came and the two movers NEVER SHOWED UP. My husband, who is over 60, had to load the truck with my son with no additional help. We hired the movers to avoid my husband handling the heavy loads. Obviously, we had no choice but to risk his health. I called, emailed and texted the company, but they did not reply at all. We didn't know if they were late or just not coming. We were then late getting the items packed and heading to our destination (a condo building), where we had a reserved time for move in. PLEASE NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I live in a suburb outside of Chicago. I called Danny the day before my move to confirm, which was Wednesday, July 21. He sent me a text asking for information regarding my items to be moved. The text also said to expect them between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. The next day no show, I called over 50 times. I called Movinghelp.com through Uhaul and they gave me a different number to call, someone named Kelly. Left several messages and as of today Monday, July 26 I have never received a call, text or email of apology. I scheduled a move one week in advance through MovingHelp to transport and unload two U-Boxes. Danny reached out shortly after I booked it to ask some questions, which I answered and I described exactly what I needed. I never heard back, so I called and left a message the morning before the scheduled move just to make sure we were on the same page. Danny called me back at 4:15pm the day before my scheduled move (at 9am the following day) and informed me that actually they don't transport U-Boxes so he'd have to cancel the booking, leaving me almost no time to find another moving service. Thought I eventually found another service, this was a huge hassle and ended up costing me probably 2x what it should have due to the short notice. I had previously used Chicago Speedee movers upon my move back to IL last January and they were very good and I gave them a good review. Well, unfortunately I am unable to give them any stars as I had booked them in January for a move in February. Well the day arrives and the movers are to arrive at 9am, 9am comes and I receive a phone call asking if my move was still on, which it was. Danny told me that the movers will be running late and would be there at 10am. 10:15 am I get a text that the movers are not coming and to try to go thru someone else to help me out. Really WTF, my 26 ft U haul truck sitting in the drive way and everything packed and ready to go to the new place. NO sorry, what can we do to help you out, no return call or text. We ended up staying at a hotel for the night as no one could help us out. I will never use this company again and will advise against it when ever I can. The whole situation was a mess from the beginning. They tried to call me and their phone kept cutting out. Finally i got a text message from them asking for all of the details. I gave them all of the details and the next day they called and told me that they had 2 other jobs and one of those crews would come to help unload our truck a bit later than expected. We asked for a 3 PM time and understood that it could be 4 PM. I checked back with them a couple of times and still no one was on there way to our house. The workers apologized but they simply could not get from one job to the next. So this is a problem with the schedulers not the workers. they contacted me at 5:30 and said it would take them an hour to get to us. At that point we nearly had the truck unloaded because we had to return the truck. Like I said this was not the workers fault. The schedulers need to do a better job and on this one they failed miserably. read more

My experience: Positives: 1. Movers showed up on time as promised. They were nice and polite. 2. They took care of our majority of our stuff and packed it well in a container. Negatives: 1. Company is extremely hard to contact. I left multiple messages and was never able to get in touch with them. 2. I had a king size mattress with boxes and metal frame, and a glass kitchen table with 4 chairs that I was planning throw into a dumpster which was located 10 feet away from the moving container. They agreed. As they finished filling up my container, the movers said that they were interested to take these items for themselves. They did not have a big enough car to take the items, they wanted to come back in few hours and pick it up/move it out of my apartment. I agreed to wait on them and they never showed up. I called multiple times, left a message and company totally ignored me. This company left me in a very difficult situation. You will not be able to reach them if you have any problems.
