We contracted with Ben the Mover for a residential move last week. We had to have all our stuff out of the house by 5pm Friday. Ben himself took the reservation. He said he'd have three movers and a truck there at 8:00 am that morning. THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. We called and texted 6 times. No answer...and even now, a week later, we never even got an apology. They screwed us over big time. DO NOT USE THIS SO-CALLED BUSINESS!!! THEY ARE AWFUL. Lawsuit pending! read more

This company has lies all over the website. I was employed at Ben the mover for a short time and had to quite for multiple reasons. Let's start with the first call. Ben will give you a confusing quote stating the price for 2hours but then sneaks in that there is a 3 hour minimum, many customers were forced to pay for the 3rd hour even though he quoted 2. And that's about 150 extra then what he says, and that's only if you do not want anything protected. Ben will charge for anything and everything and won't say anything till the end when charges add up to over 150 in material, and believe me he will upcharge everything he can. And if you don't pay he will surely let you know who he is or hold items for collateral. As a worker many times we were late because Bens party life would get in the way of calling guys, giving keys, or evebre ting the truck. So if you are told 8 or 9, expect more like 11. He runs thru guys like hot knife through butter. The good movers quit fast because they Ben barely pays on time on top of underpaying, so the whole trained professionals is nothing but a myth. I once picked up a guy just getting out of jail waiting for the bus. Most of the time these guys he picked to work were either like a bull in a china shop or the modern day robin hoods as they like to think. He tells the guys to take 10 min breaks every 45 min to add time to the clock. And he forces them to sign for the free insurance which covers barely anything. After so many mad home owners and misfortunes in this company I had to call it quits and then Ben withheld my check( only 350) for weeks. Be careful when picking Ben the mover. You have about 20 percent chance of having a good time.but don't worry because he is known to pay for good reviews. Good luck people. read more

All men including Ben were awesome respectful and hardworking They made sure not to damage furniture and also took apart and reassembled everything when arriving at new place. BEST MOVERS EVER!!! I tend to move every couple years, so I have extensive experience in hiring movers. I received excellent customer service from the moment they answered my call, they scheduled me on a super short notice and were in communication and kept me updated until they promptly arrived at the scheduled time on 8/19/19. Ben and his men are amazingly strong, talented, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. Ben went above and beyond even helping me install my window AC on that hot summer day. They didn't use blankets to move a huge piece of equipment, they scratched the floor and put a dent in the wood floor approximately 20 ft. long. My husband was looking at the scratches and didn't notice the dent, I called them less than 2 hours later to ask if they were insured because there was a huge dent in the floor. They said they didn't do it and that it must have been there before and hung up on me. My floor is ruined. read more

Ben is a pro, and I highly recommend him. I have never seen someone who truly knows how to move furniture and he is a work horse. He took apart items on the spot to get our stuff up some narrow stairs. Time is money when you're moving (b/c you pay by the hour) and they know it. They worked very quickly and took no breaks, even though I asked if I could get them lunch. Unlike previous movers I've used (the "Two Men...." outfit), they did NOT charge for travel time! We have moved twice and used Ben each time. We will continue to use him. Average cost was $750 for 5 hours which included an additional fee for moving a 500 lb. elliptical and huge TV. The other positive to mention is he came back free of charge to address minor scratches on the wall. Truly a class act. read more

I was driving home on rt 62 going southbound when a big Isuzu box truck came speeding up out of nowhere. I was driving about 15 miles an hour over the speed limit and the truck still was tailgating me. I slowed down to the speed limit that way if I needed to stop the truck wouldn't rear end me but the driver continued to tailgate me. At one point the driver got half way in the left turn and it looked like they were trying to pass me in the turn lane. Then when the road eventually opened up and they turned off it looked like the driver flipped me off. This definitely isn't the type of "professional" I would trust my stuff with any of my belongings, especially if they're willing to act like that in a in a vehicle that has a company name plastered all over it. read more

I hired this company by recommendation however they sent two young guys how didn't seem very professional from the first glance. They were 30 mins late (told me the the road was closed). Next they broke my coffee table because they did not wrap It at all and somehow a huge piece of it got chipped while the table was carried from the house to their truck. They immediately started arguing that the table was broken before, I called the office but they were absolutely no help either. This table was not broken before based on three people evidences but we could not prove anything since we did not have pictures. And finally, later we discovered that they forgot to take two very heavy leaves from the expandable dining table. We found them later behind the door where the movers have initially put them.... And forgot about them. In summary- very sloppy and unprofessional guys, please do not try to save a few buck and hire professional reputable companies! read more

What a terrible experience. Over the phone Ben and I scheduled a 12pm move of my one bedroom apartment. The day of I waited for three hours for the movers to arrive. They were not communicative during this time to give me an eta-I called them after an hour after 12. When they finally did arrive they were very tired and very rude especially Ben. Ben began being very emotional when he saw my packed things, yelling that this was not a small job. I never indicated that it was a small job and was honest with my description of a one bedroom apartment but he was not having it. He complained my boxes were to small, about having to walk back and forth from the truck, about stacking things and that he didn't have the right equipment. They did not come with any equipment for a move. Ben and I began to argue back and forth and his employee Phil tried to smooth things over seeing how poorly everything was going. Phil gave the excuse that they just came from a hard job and looking at this move was intimidating because I had miscellaneous things and chairs. What apartment does not have chairs in it? I was in shock by Ben's whiney attitude and lack professionalism. They did not offer at least to take the big things or to even suggest I pay more for the job. They simply refused the job and wanted me to repack things in bigger boxes to make it convenient and reschedule. I will never use this company or recommend them. If they were to tired and didn't want to do the work they should have canceled instead of make me wait three hours for them to decline the job. read more
