Short story - they showed up late the day of the move, brought a borrowed crew, left after 4 hours and then showed up late the next day. The broke our treadmill with their own technician saying the same but refused to have it fixed. Better yet the insurance company wants nothing to do with it. I can't in good conscience recommend this company to anyway. Go find someone else.

The whole process beforehand was super easy, too. The office was friendly and diligent and they let me know about all the extra costs that could come up during the move. I can only speak to my experiences with Ken and his crew. I have done local moves with them and…read morethree long distance moves and they all were great experiences. Moving is stressful and has lots of moving parts. Sometimes things happen that are out of anyone's control, but Ken and crew work really hard to do a great job and get your things safely from point A to B. Couple thoughts: Yes.. Ken and his load up crew are from the Chicago area and are great. They are efficient, polite, hard workers and care about your things. The driver is one of this Chicago crew and was also top-notch. He was eager to drop off and return home so he did want to have us ready to meet him the morning after he arrived down here. Once down here, they local guys. And it's true that this end of things is less consistent. However, with both my move and my moms move the guys worked hard. Both times the local guys were not on time and we had to wait an hour or so for them to get here. They also were not as careful as the guys up north. But that is much more typical of your typical mover/ laborer. I will say, both times they did do a nice job of unpacking and it was important to have someone at the Florida end that was directing where to put things and keep time accountability. My husband coordinated the florida end of our move and a lot of boxes ended up in my garage. If I had been here that wouldn't have happened. But that is why it's important to label boxes with the room name and them expect the drop off team to take to that room. In terms of payment, local moves, they pay when finished usually based on hours of work and travel time. For long distance moves, I would have thought that it would be "pay when last items is dropped off" but Ken did ask for payment when loaded up. I had already packed my checkbook so I told him I would have a cashiers check down in florida. I'm sure some deposit is needed. In terms of change in price, they do figure in a 10% flex amount. It's based on weight and distance. You would need to negotiate that. I supposed one part of all of this is reasonable expectations. I have moved cross country 5 times (dallas-chicago-tampa-Phoenix-chicago-Sarasota) and BY FAR this move with Ken was the least stress, damage, and cost. Will there be little issues? Sure... but overall they were the best I have ever used.

A Mills was fax'd all details. They showed up with an extra mover than what was agreed. They tried to obtain full payment before leaving with furniture. They then tried to get more money from family members before leaving final destination. After my cousin complained to ICC, they immediately contacted A Mills. Then A Mills insisted my cousin accept some money in retribution. Good to know all states have some kind of regulation for not only moving companies but many businesses....maybe all. We had everything taken apart and they came in and wrapped everything in plastic and loaded it onto their truck. At the new location they had to go up quite a few steps and too tight turns for the bedrooms and they made it look easy. They were absolutely a pleasure to work with. I reached out to several other companies back in February when I purchased a very heavy, vintage stove that needed to be picked up and delivered. I received a wide range of quotes, Maciej fell in the middle of the range. What won me over and has given a customer forever was his empathy and respect. I got sick immediately after getting the quotes. After 4 days of being in a delirious Covid brain fog, I sent emails to every company letting them know I wouldn't be able to get back to them immediately and the move wouldn't happen until around the end of March. The other companies sent me back messages like "Book with me!" "Are you ready?" "Did you see my quote?" One called me every day, sometimes twice a day. I had a 103 fever, I didn't even know the day of the week. Maciej immediately replied with wishes to get better soon and that whenever I was feeling better, he would be available to help. He followed up after a week with just a simple message, "I hope you are feeling better." His compassion, his patience, and his kindness told me all I needed to know about how he would treat my belongings. I finally had a pick up date, quickly communicated with Patriot Moving and set up the pick up time. It was all so easily done by email and text. They moved a vintage 1951 Chambers Model C stove for me. The stove is solid, as in over 450lbs solid! It is made of cast iron, enamel, and insulation all tightly packed within a 38" wide stove. It's a big, heavy beast which needed to be moved from an old 1880's apartment high-rise in the city. This meant narrow doorways and narrow spaces, smaller elevators, and lots of lifting. Patriot Moving showed up a little early and prepared for the move! We communicated mostly by email and text, never having a chance to speak by phone. He provided a COI right away as requested for by the owner. The team showed up prepared with everything for the move including tools to remove a door. They treated my stove and the residence with white glove service care. My stove was carefully wrapped tightly with stretch film to present anything from falling out or shifting. I removed most parts, but there were some that couldn't be removed. The moving team asked for permission when they needed to remove something, completely explaining their process and what to anticipate. They used plenty of moving blankets and covers to keep the home protected as well as the stove. They delivered right away and moved it in carefully, positioning it exactly where we needed it. Ensured that everything was just right, made sure we had all the parts removed and was ready to put everything back on for us. From the moment I reached out for a quote to the minute they finished the move and left, I received nothing short of excellent service! The stellar response and care for my stove was incredible! My full story is below with the gist of it being that the company does not provide you with accurate move in/out dates, adds on multiple charges when they see you in person, and after 1 week have yet to tell me when my shipment will come. "My equipment and property have been picked up from Pittsburgh PA on Tuesday, June 22 2021. In person, I was verbally informed that property would be delivered to my house either Thursday or Friday, June 25th 2021. This did not happen and upon calling on June 24th 2021, I was informed that I will receive an estimate of the date of arrival by Monday, June 28th 2021. I have not gotten this notification, and it's now June 29th. I have had to call the office multiple times and was placed on hold for extended periods of time or sent to voicemail. In fact, I was texted on Friday, June 25th 2021, that I would receive a call back. This did not happen either. The company charged me extra in-person for having an elevator, a tv without a box, having to walk more than 75 ft, and glass top to my study desk. If you want headaches, frustration, and generalized anxiety/depression from not knowing where your property, go ahead and sign up to work with this company."
