Sweet home movers is the worst, dirtiest company I've ever worked with in my life…read more Was quoted $615 for my one-bedroom move and was charged $1,065. Like, true story. Told the owner I would have around 30 boxes and his words were "if you want a company that will give you a flat rate and stick with it, that's us." Not only was I charged almost double the quote, but they broke a $250 industrial lamp, my safe was tempered with and permanently locked me out, scratches on dressers, computer monitor, a small lamp didn't work again, handle gone from vacuum (can't make this up), my office chair somehow cracked and not useable AND they must have put the bed frame back together in 30 seconds bc half the bolts and screws weren't even in halfway. In addition, when I spoke to owner regarding my 6 foot floor mirror, a piece I really loved and valued, and was clearly forgotten by the movers,, the owner said any additional times not moved day of isn't in contract. I definitely stated that mirror needed to be moved.. as did everything in my apartment. I am beyond the point of frustrated and am just sad this man used me, took my money, had no remorse and then gets away with it. Unless you want to pay double the quote, lose $1,500 in broken, damaged or left property, to then be told the next day they aren't going to refund me for floor lamp and damaged property , nor move the item their movers forgot, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Joke of a business. 1 STAR. Oh, all the new reviews are clearly fake and not from real customers.

I've moved myself and also hired all sorts of movers and labor 7 times in the last 10 years. I don't recommend sweet home movers. They showed up with the smallest truck I've seen. We had a Pods load of furniture and boxes in a garage. They backed into the driveway. They didn't need to carry things up and down stairs or take things apart. They moved SO SLOW. They couldn't fit everything in their truck. It took 2.5 hours just to load that into their truck. I think they were taking extra long to puzzle as much into their small truck as possible. Their English wasn't great so they couldn't read the labels on the boxes. They took an extra 3 hours more than expected and you bet they charged us for it. In the end my husband and I and our parents did about a third of the loading and unloading. And spent $300 more than we thought we would. The guys were nice and were able to handle a tricky move of a large wine fridge into the basement. That's basically all the nice things I can say about them.

We had everything taken apart and they came in and wrapped everything in plastic and loaded it onto their truck. At the new location they had to go up quite a few steps and too tight turns for the bedrooms and they made it look easy. They were absolutely a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone and if I ever needed to move again would definitely call them. We called a few other movers and they quoted well over what Patriot charged us.

I can't begin to RAVE enough about Patriot Movng and the wonderful service from Maciej. Patriot…read moreMoving exceeded my expectations and because of this, my bar is now set high! I reached out to several other companies back in February when I purchased a very heavy, vintage stove that needed to be picked up and delivered. I received a wide range of quotes, Maciej fell in the middle of the range. What won me over and has given a customer forever was his empathy and respect. I got sick immediately after getting the quotes. After 4 days of being in a delirious Covid brain fog, I sent emails to every company letting them know I wouldn't be able to get back to them immediately and the move wouldn't happen until around the end of March. The other companies sent me back messages like "Book with me!" "Are you ready?" "Did you see my quote?" One called me every day, sometimes twice a day. I had a 103 fever, I didn't even know the day of the week. Maciej immediately replied with wishes to get better soon and that whenever I was feeling better, he would be available to help. He followed up after a week with just a simple message, "I hope you are feeling better." His compassion, his patience, and his kindness told me all I needed to know about how he would treat my belongings. I finally had a pick up date, quickly communicated with Patriot Moving and set up the pick up time. It was all so easily done by email and text. They moved a vintage 1951 Chambers Model C stove for me. The stove is solid, as in over 450lbs solid! It is made of cast iron, enamel, and insulation all tightly packed within a 38" wide stove. It's a big, heavy beast which needed to be moved from an old 1880's apartment high-rise in the city. This meant narrow doorways and narrow spaces, smaller elevators, and lots of lifting. Patriot Moving showed up a little early and prepared for the move! We communicated mostly by email and text, never having a chance to speak by phone. He provided a COI right away as requested for by the owner. The team showed up prepared with everything for the move including tools to remove a door. They treated my stove and the residence with white glove service care. My stove was carefully wrapped tightly with stretch film to present anything from falling out or shifting. I removed most parts, but there were some that couldn't be removed. The moving team asked for permission when they needed to remove something, completely explaining their process and what to anticipate. They used plenty of moving blankets and covers to keep the home protected as well as the stove. They delivered right away and moved it in carefully, positioning it exactly where we needed it. Ensured that everything was just right, made sure we had all the parts removed and was ready to put everything back on for us. From the moment I reached out for a quote to the minute they finished the move and left, I received nothing short of excellent service! The stellar response and care for my stove was incredible! I won't ever hesitate to recommend them to everyone! Maciej and his team are truly exceptional people. Thank you!

1 Star Very…read moredisappointing experience. My original estimate was $6,225, and I ultimately paid $8,100 for my move. Despite paying for a full packing and white-glove moving service, multiple valuable belongings were damaged while in the company's care, including a 65-inch TV, a 55-inch TV, my mattress, a marble side table, a patio chair, and a rug. One of the most concerning examples is my mattress, which was delivered folded in half. I have included a photo showing its condition upon delivery. The white-glove service was also not completed as promised. The movers disassembled my bed but did not reassemble it upon delivery, even though reassembly was included in the service I purchased. I had to hire and pay a TaskRabbit professional to assemble it myself. I have been working with the company on my damage claim since July 20. They have received photographs and videos documenting everything. The company is relying on the $0.60-per-pound valuation provision in the contract. I understand that provision is included in the agreement, but given the number of items damaged while in their care, I find the outcome extremely disappointing. Their Claims Department initially offered $124, then increased it to $275, and their final offer is now $325. After paying $8,100 for the move and dealing with multiple damaged belongings and incomplete white-glove service, I do not consider $325 a reasonable resolution. I gave the company more than a month to resolve this directly and in good faith. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with how the claim has been handled and would not use this company again or recommend them to others.
