This is not a professional company. Do not hire them if you want yourself or your belongings safe. During our move, which happened during a light snowfall, our mattress wasn't wrapped as tightly as it could have been, and it was placed in such a way in the truck that it absorbed quite a bit of water (see photos). When mentioned to the crew, one man, whom I had already asked not to smoke near our furniture, became combative. Requests for that individual to calm down and not even rude or yell at us in our own home, turned to the man informing us he was off the clock and shouting in our front yard to the point where we had to ask him to leave our property- he then sat in the truck leaving the other two to do all the work. When it came time to settle the bill, we called the office (no response) to discuss the damages and a 2 vs 3 person rate. We asked the crew to have her get in touch with us. While I was on the phone with Melanie, business owner/customer service, the remaining crew started yelling at and then threatened my fiancé, shouting that they would call the police for us refusing to pay- we were not, we were discussing the damage and the crew member who walked off the job. The crew manager informed me that he was Melanie's boss and he'd just call the police. Melanie heard all this, called them and sorted it out. The yelling and the threats were terrifying and unprofessional. This is not how you treat customers and is a horrible reflection of the "business." Do your research and go with someone more reputable and safe.

For my actual move day, I went from a house to a storage unit to our new home. Mykola and his team showed up just on time, provided proper communication ahead of time where we walked through the space - he took note of what needed to be taken, wrapped up carefully, including the moving of a piano, and asked great questions. They disassembled a variety of furniture such as a standing desk, couch, beds, and more. The entire team was incredibly efficient, polite and respectful of my property. When we were in the storage unit, they worked so effectively and cleared the unit in only 30 minutes! Once in the space, they were fantastic - they moved boxes into the correct room, double checked with questions, assembled furniture and at the end of the day, they finished in less time that I was quoted. Just to note - they do ask for a $50 deposit, and then, as part of my price, they request the first $500 of the full price to be in cash. Regarding the billing, we were significantly misquoted. The final bill was $500 higher than the original estimate. The foreman on entry to our home and from his initial visualization verballv confirmed to us both that this was a iob size that was accurately quoted and in line with the video we sent to the company. We never received a revised quote, nor were we informed during the process that the move was taking longer or would cost more. Notably, the 2-mile journey between apartments took the team 50 minutes, a drive we completed in 14 minutes at the same time. The delay was compounded because the foreman trained a new worker on our dime, which ultimately slowed down the whole process as he frequently stopped to explain tasks, correct mistakes, and address unprofessional behavior. Finally, I am deeply disappointed with the management's handling of this matter. I filed a claim immediately following the move and was told it would be resolved over the weekend. A week later, I was informed that a family emergency would delay the response. It has now been two weeks since my last contact, and my messages are currently being ignored. All we wanted was a refund for one hour of moving time (matching the original quote). I will not use or recommend this company to anyone. I filed a claim with them in the hopes of having them fix it, or financial compensation. A move to remember has been unresponsive in trying to resolve my claim.They took the broken table pieces after the move saying they would try to have it fixed. It is now April and I still do not have my table, any monetary compensation, and have not heard from the claims department or anyone from the company in over a THREE MONTHS. Since September, I have been going back and forth with this company trying to resolve this. It has been months of radio silence, then getting some communication emails, then more radio silence again for months. In one of our infrequent email discussions in January, they communicated that they are in deliberation trying to resolve some other issue and as a result of the deliberation and lost wages, the company was at the time, unable to resolve claims. They stated that they would circle back to my claim in March in hopes they could resolve it by then. This is despite us having a signed contract that stating claims will be resolved after 120 days, and as such should have been resolved in January. Hopeless to have it resolved at some point, I followed up with the company back in March multiple times to see if they had additional updates. It is now mid April and I have still not heard back regarding my claims status. The last communication I received from them was the end of January. No compensation, no communication, radio silence, and they won't even give me back the pieces of my table. They broke vintage antique furniture and ghosted me. It was a move to remember and not in a good way. Oh also day of the move they showed up with one fewer movers than I was quoted for, told me the move would take longer as a result of someone calling out, then it took hours longer than their updated longer timeline. I was the first time slot of the day and they showed up about 1-1.5 hrs late and the move went well into the evening. Additionally, they randomly had supervisors on site to monitor how things were going from a process perspective, but these supervisors weren't helping the movers that were obviously exhausted. So I was quoted 4 movers, 3 showed up, 2 supervisors show up to just watch, and the move took hours longer than anticipated. Supervisors started helping at the end but what a weird experience. If anyone at the company reads this, can someone actually help me with this claim?

I was forced to use movers instead of the tried-and-sometimes-true friends + pizza + a van route I've taken before. You know how it goes: clumsy, slow, and tiring. Getting friends to help you move is like pulling teeth and then being forced to eat glass. This was nothing like that. This was angel food cake and a bubble bath compared to that. I frantically called movers I saw reviewed well on yelp (thanks, community!). Little did I know May 1 was supposedly the busiest moving weekend of the year. Who are all you freaks, and why did you make this so difficult? The first available guys were Bill's Moving Services. Thank goodness. Bill took the time to answer my call even while he was out running errands. I told him about my situation, the kind of place I lived in, and my schedule, and he was ready with a quote 30 minutes later. I asked him repeatedly if he needed to know how much stuff I owned because I'd read some negative reviews of other companies saying the truck was too small or the rate was higher because of a poor estimate. No problem here! Bill uses an enormous truck with plenty of room for my apartment four times over, so he knew it would work out just fine. Bill was in contact with me throughout the week making follow-up calls to verify the timing, and he even offered to come earlier in the day to compensate for anticipated traffic. He thought ahead! I like that. The two-man crew showed up at my apartment right on time with smiles on and plenty of packing supplies in-hand. Oh yeah. they don't charge you for the amount of supplies they use. There's just one flat fee. And trust me, they don't skimp. You also get plenty of wardrobe boxes to pack your clothing into. So, back to the guys. I never once caught a frown, frustrated sigh, complaint, lazy attitude, or lack of energy in these men. Both of them were professional and incredibly friendly. Plus, both of them had years of moving experience behind them, so I knew I could trust them with my things. I just wish I could remember their names! Sorry, dudes. Side-plug: Since I used RediBox to pack almost all my belongings, the crates were super-quick to move into the truck and into my new place. I highly recommend using them when you hire Bill's Moving Services. Moving into my new place took very little time despite having to take off the front door and maneuver a cramped stairway. Once again, NO poor attitudes from the hard-working crew! They even brought in a surprise third guy to help move me in and didn't charge me any extra! Huge bonus! Everything went perfectly. Smooth as cake batter (apparently I want cake right now). What would have been a stressful day for me turned out to be the best moving experience I've ever had. He called me multiple times throughout the week confirming my time we agreed on for the movers and then he called me four times in one day because he had to "move stuff around." We initially agreed upon a time of 8am and then Jim pushed it back to 10am. No big deal at first. Then he continued to push the time back... it was 12pm, 4pm and by 6pm we are still waiting for the movers. They didn't show up until 8pm!! Jim originally told us that one of his trucks broke down but found out by one of the movers, this was a lie. Apparently, their first customer gave them a hard time so they had to make two trips for her and they were short staffed, so every move got pushed back. By the time they were done moving everything, it's was literally after midnight. Now, the time came to pay for everything and of course we wanted a discount and then one of the movers called Jim for us. HE HAD A TERRIBLE ATTITUDE WITH US!! Told us that it shouldn't have taken so long to move everything (despite us giving him the EXACT number of boxes and furniture we had and reconfirmed all of our things that same morning with him) and that we shouldn't get a discount. Then he started yelling at my mom because we called him after midnight WHEN IT WAS HIS FAULT THE MOVE WAS DONE SO LATE BECAUSE THEY LITERALLY DIDNT SHOW UP UNTIL 12 HOURS LATER. Jim did not want to give us a discount and he had a terrible, and I mean, terrible attitude. To make things worse, one of the movers heavily damaged a brand new dresser that he refused to get fixed. The day of, 3 people arrived right on time and they were so fast and careful. They disassembled & reassembled everything and checked with us to make sure everything was where we wanted it to go. No breaks or scuffs, and they even rolled out a floor protector. I highly recommend them!
