tl;dr: Yes, use them. Without question. They hauled a very large couch up the stairs to the 8th floor of my new bldg. Be specific in what you want when calling over the phone so there's so confusion. Also be specific on the parking situation at both locations to not waste time. What Could Be Better: - Collecting information over the phone. I asked for packing services and the Moises and Luis didn't know when they arrived. I chalk this up to miscommunication. - I don't know how realistic this is but I lost 20 minutes of time of them trying to get the large truck in a good position to load my items. A smaller truck would have been more maneuverable in Chicago's alleys. Where they excelled: - Moises and Luis simply did not give up. When my couch was too big for all of the elevators in the bldg, they hauled it up the stairs to the 8th (!!) floor, including several detours and having to go back down a flight to go up again. They were drenched in sweat but they kept going with a smile on their face. I did not want to lose the couch and have to spend more money to replace it. Their perseverance really saved me from an unexpected major expense. This showed me the kind of worker they are and Lalo's should be proud of them. This will make me a return customer. - It was just the two of them and they hustled quite a bit to keep up the pace. They were very friendly and vocal about any obstacle that came up. I'm very happy with my experience and hope others will find this review helpful in their choice. Just be explicit in what you're looking for and expecting in the move and you shouldn't have any issues. read more

I cannot say enough about how great Lalo's was at moving my Dad's townhouse contents into a storage locker. I had to change my Dad's moving date and actually had used another moving company who could not accomodate the 2 day change in moving. Stephanie was fantastic and agreed to do the move. I took her recommendation of 4 men and it was definitely the right # of movers. Pedro called me at 6:30 a.m. to let me know they were on their way to be there at 7 a.m. Once there, they worked efficiently and packed the glass table tops and some other picture frames/curio cabinet so carefully. Lalo's Movers recently did our 2 bedroom apartment move from Chicago to Elmwood Park and we were very happy with the service they provided. You simply call their office, send them information about what you would like to move, and they send you a quote pretty quickly. First time moving ever and Lalo's Movers was the best choice I could have ever made! I have quite a lot of fragile furniture but this was no problem for the guys at all! I was so surprised that my white bed did not get stained at all despite all the dust when moving. The movers packed everything and nothing was damaged. The moving experience I had with Lalo's Movers was the best I've ever had. They were pleasant and immediately responsive on the phone. They were on time to the job, and didn't even bat an eye when my elevator was broken and had to get my furniture down six flights of stairs. Lalo's helped us move a lot of heavy furniture up three steep flights of stairs. They left no damage to the building or the furniture and were completely professional. I hired Lalo's Movers simply based on the reviews I found online; I'm pretty pleased with them. We had 3-person crew and they worked very hard. Money well spent! We had a lot of furniture and boxes and only two items were slightly damaged during the move (which I'm alright with).
