Very professional and easy to work with. Christopher (the tech) was very knowledgeable, professional, and overall great to work with. Would hire again if I have the need - Jason read more

Jacari was awesome! He came really quickly (within an hour) and called to let me know he was on the way. I had a really wonky lock and he tried his best to give me the simplest solution but again, my lock was determined to be difficult. He went above and beyond to get me squared away! Rates were decent and service was fast. read more

Updating my previous review based on the owner of the company reaching out to me and making things right. While this doesn't help me with my previous interaction, I appreciate them tsking customer service seriously and working to get better. read more

About a month ago, I found myself locked out of my condo on my way to work. Not the most fun thing to experience as you're trying to head out in the morning, but thankfully I found 24/7 Chicago Locksmiths on Yelp. (At least if I didn't have my keys, I still had my phone!) Stephen was at my house within 30-45 minutes after I called in my request for an appointment. He tried at first to pick the lock and when it didn't work (not a bad thing probably!!), he explained the work he had to to do replace the door knob, along with the associated costs, etc. He was super professional and efficient. If you ever lock yourself out, definitely call these guys! read more

Chicago Locksmiths responded right away to the previous review I left. I was surprised, but felt acknowledged. The company corrected the error of the fees and charges. Total job cost was $100 which I could understand. Took care of the issue over the phone very easily. Took into account all of concerns and suggestions. Communication is the key word for any business. Also, they mentioned they do not do a $20 fee charge for credit cards. FYI read more

I will update to three stars for a couple of reasons - 1) the owner contacted me to apologize for the "confusion" and offered a refund (it's still unfortunate it takes this much work to get it done right) 2) they were fast and did come out same day 3) the job was done successfully Only recommendation - might want to consider some staffing changes. I was very clear in what I needed done before anyone came to my property. I was also treated with quite a bit of disrespect when I followed up twice about the "confusion" and refund request. Overall, though, the owner takes pride in the company's reputation and that can't be overlooked. read more

Quick and friendly service! I had 2 keys copied. The man working greeted me as soon as I walked in and made the copies in less than 5 minutes. I had been having a terrible day and got caught in the rain. He asked if it was my first time there and gave me the key copies at no cost. When I got home I tested the keys out and they worked perfectly! read more

Great email correspondence. Technician Xavier arrived on time. Gave call ahead of time. Presented quote before starting job. Happy customer

I locked myself out while painting my back door. The silliest thing to do but happened and needed to be dealt with. After waiting for more than an hour for locksmith and not being able to find out me when someone would come, I called Chicago Locksmiths. I live 6 blocks away from their location. I spoke to a very very nice and understanding dispatcher and received immediate attention. They accommodated me in between jobs as I was literally on the route to another job location. Someone came in 10 minets time. Thank you so much! read more

Extremely professional and thorough, highly skilled at their craft and courteous toward me as a customer. 10/10 recommend! Modern car keys aren't always easy to copy well, they took the time to ensure it was working right. read more

Very helpful in copying my mailbox key! Works like a charm. Went to Lowes multiple times and they never carried the correct key in stock. Chicago locksmiths has a ton various types of keys in their store. Thank you Chicago Locksmiths! Really appreciate it read more

As a property manager I am always shopping for the best prices along with the best service!! The search has stopped Josh delivered. He was honest patient and repaired locks at 2 separate properties in a couple of hours then passed on a savings to the associations. I had previously gotten a, quote and it was double the price. JOSH continued to follow up never complained went the extra mile and made keys for the association and gave suggestions to improve the locks during the cold snap. Thanks JOSH I look forward to working with your managers, company and most of all you. We have 40 more buildings that I will pass your name!! Happy associations happy property manager!! We accidentally locked ourselves out of our new apartment quite late at night. With the help of our neighbors we found Chicago Locksmiths after several outrageous quotes from other area locksmiths. Their quote to open the doorknob was quite reasonable and Daniel arrived quickly considering he had two other jobs before us. He went to work and had the door open in a matter of seconds. Absolute life-savers! I would highly recommend this company if you find yourself in a similar situation, but I do hope that I will never have to avail myself of their emergency services again. ; ) read more

Can't say thank you enough for this company. Knowledgable staff helped me out when I was at my wits end trying to figure out where to go, and what to do with making a copy of mailbox keys (the wall mounted mailboxes that you get at Home Depot). They guided me on where to go and what to do. I then returns to them and they cut the blanks perfectly. Thanks again! read more

It is a great company! I was thinking to duplicating my keys in Office Depot and I'm glade I didn't. When I got in to their store everyone were very helpful! I got my keys with a signature of my name (!!) on it. I recommend you use their services. The store I went to was in Logan Square on Milwaukee Ave. read more

We were locked out of her house last Thursday night after the door latch broke. I found Chicago Locksmiths through Yelp and was impressed with their ratings. I immediately contacted them and the support staff noted my case and informed a technician from an 800 number will contact me very soon. Yelp showed a response time of 10 minutes. And then I waited, and waited. There were no follow up calls. Once I realized in 30 minutes they will be a no show, I immediately found another business nearby who was at my door within 20 minutes (I've reviewed them too on Yelp). We are not happy with Chicago Locksmiths. Their ratings and Yelp coupons aren't really worth anything if the technician doesn't follow up! read more

Great customer service! I originally had an issue with a few copied keys not working, but Shay (the owner) reached out to me and remedied the situation. New keys work fine - and I'm happy to return for future business! read more

Great service and communication. The locksmith who arrived was knowledgeable and super helpful.

These guys are AMAZING! They were 1st of all cheapest for what I needed done. And that was a tall order. They responded right away, fixed a lock on my file cabinet for no extra charge, replaced both deadbolt and doorknob w/ a security guard on the knob, and when my lick was sticking 2 weeks later they came out and fixed it for FREE! If you want the fastest response, best quality service w/ GUARANTEE, and the cheapest price possible for even an impossible task, LOOK NO FURTHER! I have locks that work, right away, and feel safe! Thanks! read more

We needed all of the exterior locks changed in our recently rehabbed home that used seven different keys on nine doors (yes, crazy) to one single key. We also needed a repair on our enclosed porch lock and our new garage deadbolt wasn't turning from the inside. We also needed to do this work before Thanksgiving! We Yelped several local locksmiths to request a quote. We chose Chicago Locksmiths for five reasons: 1. They have a clean and friendly Yelp profile with a solid set of decent photos and positive reviews. 2. They are local to Chicago. 3. They were very friendly and courteous on the phone when we called. 4. They were able to meet our scheduling needs even during the holiday. 5. Their prices were fair compared to other quotes. We got more than we expected! The tech (name withheld for privacy) was super friendly, he smiled and made positive eye contact, asked strategic questions so he could be effective at this job for us, and, he made recommendations for the minor repair of our front gate and install of a new deadbolt lock that we frankly thought was a lost cause on our rusty iron gate. The tech even returned a few days later because on another one of our super old teeth-type locks in the basement that he attempted to repair, he decided he would like to do a better job on it, and replaced it at no additional charge. They are a super pro business, and we recommend them to work on any complex or involved lock assignment without reservation. read more

My problem was simple, or so I thought. My rooftop door lock was jammed, and I was not longer able to lock it. I tried 2 locksmith companies before finding Chicago Locksmith. The first company told me I was going to have to replace the entire door. I'm no lock technician, but I knew that wasn't the answer. The 2nd company came to look at it, diagnosed the problem, but didn't have the part. They left promising to call when the part came in...guess who never called. Chicago Locksmith to the rescue. These guys were professional, on time and had great follow through. Turns out my unique lock was not the easiest part to find, but they did it. Now my home is once again secure, and I have the guys at Chicago Locksmith to thank for it. I definitely recommend them, and will utilize them going forward for any of my security needs. read more

When i called i was told that they do not work on single family homes even though the website says they do in multiple places

Super quick easy experience was in and out for key copies within minutes, thanks to Bobby!

Thank you for doing such a great job! I needed the front door lock on my business repaired. When I called to schedule an appointment, the lady on the phone was very efficient and courteous. She let me know someone would be out later today. The locksmith made sure to call first and let me know he was about a half hour away, and when he got here immediately started looking at the broken lever on the door. He introduced himself, gave an estimate, and replaced the lever. The whole thing took under a half hour. Very friendly and professional! read more

After writing my review, I was contacted by Chicago Locksmiths. They gave me a full refund due to the confusion during the estimation process during my lockout a couple of weeks ago. They followed up after the refund went through. I appreciate the quick and thorough customer service. While I hope I never need any locksmith services again, I won't rule out Chicago Locksmiths. Overall they have been very professional and courteous. read more

I'm really glad that during these years Locksmiths becomes better and better. I'm really a careless person so I have been locked my car key in my carote than 3 times in 2years. I think their service gets cheaper and faster at least as I remember. This time I lost my ignition key totally. It was Easter Sunday, I couldn't find any other ways to deal with my situation. But this shop they answered my call really friendly and came to my spot within 30mins. The guy Robert he made me the new key in 20mins and charged me same as they quoted on the phone. And, he made me another spare key just for free :D. I'm so glad there are something like this shop that can really help you when you are desperate on the roadside. read more

I called them at 9pm on Tuesday, I was able to get an appointment on the next day. The representative on the phone was very professional and nice. Louis arrived at my parents home during the 2 hour window provided and he immediately was able to see the issue with the lock that was previously placed on the door by a non professional. He was quick, efficient and very nice. This is the best Locksmith company in Chicago. Louis is a great professional. Kudos to the company and to Louis, my elderly parents can rest easy with a secure lock on their front door. read more

Not sure if I have the right Yelp entry for this business as there are multiple; the right location/franchise definitely deserves credit! Called me back on a request for quote via Yelp in, or under, 30 minutes. Had an appointment schedule then, for less than 48 hours later. I had a key sheared off and needed several locks to be rekeyed including the one with the sheared key; Chicago Locksmiths, unlike a competitor who also responded, did not quote me an extraction fee for the sheared key - only the base service fee plus the rekey fee which their competitor ALSO charged. They did end up having to charge me a pick fee due to having no other keys for that cylinder for rekeying purposes, but it was less than one-third of what their competitor quoted for an extraction, and I can only assume competitor would also have charged a pick fee. The smith who serviced me, Adam, was great. Pretty painless operation, friendly service. Three doors, four locks, done in about an hour and a half. Improved a binding issue I was experiencing with one door while he was here. Very affordable. 90-day warranty. Would certainly use again. read more

I am SOOOO late on writing this review! And I'm sad because looking at the bil the guys name who came out (he wore glasses) isn't on here so I can thank him personally! Anyways, as the spaz I am I had gone to take my dog out and realized I had no key. I called Chicago Locksmith immedietly as I knew sometimes it takes awhile for a locksmith to come out, especially if they have lots of other calls and are on the opposite end of the city. I gave them my info and let them know that I am in a time crunch due to a morning meeting I had to make and was still fresh from the shower and in my pajamas. About 15 minutes later the nice gentleman called me and let me know he would be on his way soon and I relayed to him I was on a crunch and to please call me when he was about 10 away. He did and showed up as scheduled and got me in my place in literally under 3 minutes! I am so greatful and appreciative of their quick service and wonderful locksmiths! They truly are a gem of a company and I have used them a few times before and have always have 5 star results and service. Thank you! :) read more
