The food is great here but the parking can be difficult. There are parallel parking spots on the side of the building if needed. Be careful because you cannot drive to the back of the building, that is the Starbucks drive through and there is no way out unless you want to order coffee and wait for it so be careful not to get trapped. They accommodated a large group I had once with ease, split checks easily and everyone enjoyed the food. Today I got a chicken doner wrap which was delicious but a little messy because while it comes wrapped in paper, the ends of the wrap bread are not tucked in well. I'll be back though for more of their yummy dishes.
The food is soooo good. Everything so tasty. The tea was perfection and the hot sauce they bring out with the bread could go on so many things. Spicy but the perfect spice.
After visiting Turkey last winter, the desire to find a local and authentic Turkish restaurant has recently been on my mind. Chef's Table was our choice and it deserved a Chef's kiss. The eggplant starter was a good way to fire up our tastebuds. For entrees, I went with the Mixed Gill for one and wifey added the Iskender Kabob, which we just ended up pushing to the middle of the table to share. The combination of spiced meats and vegetables was delicious and worth the try. The Yelp pictures show a full on bakery, however this is misleading because the extensive selections are actually at the restaurant owner's other place, La Cafe, and not here. So we passed on dessert and opted to drive another 10 minutes away to Baklava Bakery for a wider selection of choices. The inside of the restaurant is a bit small and modest, but comfortable enough to enjoy a hearty meal.
The food here is amazing and SOO flavorful! We got the lamb chops for around $30 which comes with 4 lamb chops, rice, and a salad. Definitely a bit more expensive than I would have preferred. We had 2 orders of the lamb chops and we noticed that some pieces were just wayyyy smaller than others. I don't think $30 is justiced for 4 small, uneven pieces but they did taste really good and cooked well. The hummus was also really good, and fresh. One of the better house made hummuses I've had. It only came with the hummus so we had to ask for more bread with the hummus. There was only 1 server when we went and all the tables were full so service was really really slow. I did like the interior decor of the resteraunt, it felt very calm and relaxing. Overall, the food was really good but way too expensive. It was nearly $100 for 2 of us.
LOCATION: Super pretty, well-decorated spot in an unassuming location very close to 410. The place is not very big, but feels comfortably intimate with a nice vibe. Service was great with very friendly people. FOOD: Starting with the bread and ezme dip is perfect. It was delicious for a free starter. Slightly spicy, exceedingly savory, and a good richness with the olive oil. Mains that my wife and I had were both delicious. The Turkish bread they use for the pides is just phenomenal. You can eat it by itself, but the cheese and meat just take it to another level. The lamb shish was also so good. Meat was not very gamey and was just CRAZY tender. Salad was mot bad either, but the meat stole the show. Plus, good portions allowed my wife to have leftovers which were so good the next day. 100% recommend Chef's Table. We are excited to go back and try more stuff
Our server, Talha, was fantastic and took the time to walk us through the menu and break down the options, which we really appreciated. The complimentary homemade bread and dipping sauce were amazing to start. We tried the Chicken Döner Pide (their specialty pizza). A must-try! & the chicken Tava (stew) was so incredibly flavorful. I took leftovers of the chicken Tava home and was literally dreaming about it later... it was that good. This is definitely my new go-to spot in town!
Had high hopes but this place falls short. Dont order through seamless like I did. They don't use them anymore and when you get there they don't even know you ordered and have to wait while they make it. Food didn't have much flavor to me. For the price I'd expect my socks to be knocked off. Unfortunately not worth it to me. At least I can say I tried it. Can you?
We really enjoyed our dinner here. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with beautiful Turkish lamps and a relaxed, friendly vibe. The staff were so kind and attentive, making the experience even better. I ordered the veggie casserole, which was a perfect vegan option -- hearty, flavorful, and full of fresh vegetables. My husband had the mixed grill for one along with the baba ghanoush, and everything was cooked perfectly with great smoky flavor. The warm bread that comes to the table is incredible and pairs beautifully with the dips. Reservations are definitely a good idea during peak hours (like Friday night) because it fills up quickly. Overall, delicious food, great service, and such a welcoming atmosphere. We'll absolutely be back!
Well, what a delightful treat! San Antonio finally has an authentic Mediterranean restaurant that's good! The food was super fresh and came out piping hot. Every dish was packed with flavor including my friend's dish, chicken tava. I really enjoyed their Babaganoush with the deliciously hot bread that came with it. So yummy it has my mouth watering as I type this. Service was excellent. Attentive and prompt. Highly recommend checking this place out.
It's was okay. My favorite thing was probably the complimentary bread and dip. Service was good. The had some beautiful light fixtures.
Nice clean cozy restaurant. With limited seating, and delicious clean food. They are able to accommodate larger parties as well. When we arrived a large family was seated and this did not cause a delay in our order. This was my first time trying Turkish food, the combination of flavors were paired so well together. The service was great. Our waiter was very attentive. My only disappointment was canned and bottled drinks.

Huge huge fan of Turkish food & always bummed when none of my friends get jt. I hardly can get them to be excited when I cook it at home but now I can just take them here & order for us. Only one server but she is attentive and quick! Their complimentary bread is literally jaw dropping. The gluten structure of it is literally divine with a nice crust at the bottom. They serve it with molasses and a peppery paste that is certifiably addictive. My gf doesn't even love peppery things and has low spice tolerance but she enjoyed it as much as me. It's magic. We ordered the sucuk pide. A totally different dough treatment from the complimentary bread. Some restaurants will just repurpose the same exact dough but this was a totally different texture & absolutely perfect. I've had pide before (from chains) that was too greasy or small or structurally lacking by but this is perfect. They put some sucuk under the cheese as well. The top sucuk lined up is for aesthetic. We took 4 slices home because we got stuffed, and it airfries beautifully. Kunafe was yummy, not too sweet, crunchy, and texturally amazing. Shareable but quite small. Smaller than a personal pizza. It's better than other satx locations I've tried (probably not as good as little arabia restaurants in SoCal) but I will say that for the price, I will just make it at home. Ours was not topped with the young pistachios the way others have been shown. I don't mind the inconsistency though because you're supporting a mom and pop type restaurant. They also serve doner!!!! For anyone that knows from their trip to Germany, this is such a sought after sandwich for me & I will certainly return to try it. A Turkish brunch option would be so amazing, like imagine menemen. simit. simple cheeses. walnut jams. Molasses. Oof. chef, you're amazing. read more

Food is fantastic from early bread with tasty (spicy) sauce to the Adana Kabab a great choice for quick trip to SA. This Turkish treat is easier at lunch than dinner. I would return for either. Chef served food quickly at lunch; waiter recommended a slo cooked lamb as his fav with awareness it is 20min wait. Seems wonderful and I'll be recommending to friend in SA. ***delicious read more

I had been seeing this restaurant pop up and all my social media and couldn't wait to try it. We went for lunch. We initially were the only ones there, but it filled up pretty quickly. The bread: yum. Love the sesame seeds. The dipping sauce was good with some spiciness to it. Muammara: interesting. The walnuts give it a meaty texture. It has good flavor. Not spicy. Turkish salad: big portion. Loved the tangy taste. I was sad they were out of falafel and Turkish tea. read more

Lovely restaurant for Turkish cuisine. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The staff were very welcoming and attentive to our party of 12, and I can see what all the hype is about. It is a little gem right on the outskirts of the medical center. Inside, it is beautifully decorated and cozy. We ordered a variety of dishes so we could get a good taste of the menu, and it did not disappoint. I had the mixed grill, which comes with a sampling of all the meats with rice and a salad. It's very filling but still very light. Great flavors throughout everything that I tried. Thanks to Chef's Table for hosting us and providing great service. read more
We've been seeing great reviews about this place for the past year and finally decided to stop by. Let me tell you - it is simply uh-mazing!!! The restaurant is pretty small small so I highly recommend calling for a reservation. The decor is beautiful and cozy, and everything is imported from Turkey. We looooved their gorgeous overhead lanterns! My girlfriends and I shared the doner padi, which I would describe as a delicious Turkish pizza with crispy crust and gooey cheese, as well as the mixed grill, which came with several different meats, rice, and veggies. We also receive complimentary bread and sauce, which were both divine, and we finished off with baklava for dessert. Everything was wonderful, to include the service! They do not serve alcohol, but do let you bring your own bottle of wine and luckily do not charge a corking fee. Highly recommend this authentic spot and we'll definitely be back...very very soon . read more
Delicious Turkish food! We recently returned from Kusadasi Turkey and was craving some Turkish food. This place definitely satisfied my craving! We were able to call ahead to reserve a table for a total of eight, the day before. This restaurant does not have a lot of seating so keep that in mind if you have large parties, make sure you call ahead of time. The ambience is stunning with beautiful Turkish décor. The service was great and really accommodating. We had a variety of dishes that we ordered for the table. Our favorite was the appetizer mix. We also had the falafel and mixed grill plate. We will definitely be back again to try other dishes. We highly recommend this place. read more

This is one of the best spots to try in San Antonio!! The service is top tier. They were quick with our food and explained the portions and dishes well. The ambiance really brings your food to life since the music and scenery are respective to the culture. Our food was seasoned so well it was worth every penny. I definitely recommend getting the platter if you're looking to try something new and aren't sure where to start. My mom does not like lamb, but the way they cook it here she has now become a fan. I will be going back as soon as I can!! (I also want to point out for anyone with a sensitive stomach this didn't aggravate mine at all) read more

Delicious, so damn good!!! I've only had one entree but everything on that plate except the rice, that fell a little short but everything else was just amazing. Such good flavor and taste. I honestly can't wait to go back and try another dish. Highly recommend going to this restaurant. They'll be opening a coffee shop next door soon as well. The waiter told me they will have pastries and coffee. I want some Turkish coffee read more

A hidden gem indeed! What a pleasant surprise as soon as you walk in the restaurant is so nicely decorated. We went for lunch time during the week and service was top notch. I did see there was some tables reserved so I assumed we beat the rush as we were leaving it started to get full. The food was hot and fresh made to order so delicious and mouth watering! I can't wait to be back again and again! read more

I really really don't want this place to be crowded because it's so small.... But wow wow wow. Delicious food. We stopped in after a medical center visit around 4:15PM and there were other customers dining in a place that has 7 or 8 tables? I didn't count... but that's a good sign on a Monday afternoon. The decor is so authentic and you can tell the owner wanted to bring as much of Turkey as they could to this place... charming. Our waiter was a young man with a thick accent but we managed to understand him. We rejected their wonderful bread because we are trying to cut carbs. He let us keep the harissa sauce anyway which turned out to be incredible. Obviously fresh made. We decided to share the plate that is a mixed grill for two. Four kinds of meat at least and grilled tomato and peppers with salad and a little rice. Everything was so flavorful and served perfectly. We asked for some garlic sauce as well and we got something close to tzatziki but very good. Just loved it and took home a lot of leftovers to enjoy. Love love love authentic flavors done right. read more

Dinner time is not for "play play" and I do not play when I rate a restaurant as five stars. I only award five stars, when I mean it and the Chef's Table Turkish Mediterranean Grill deserves 5.5 Yelp stars and a few Michelin stars (if Texas restaurants could earn a Michelin star). The Turkish food at the Chef's Table is divine and truly some of the best Mediterranean food that I have tasted. The chef uses fresh and high quality products that showcase his mastery of flavor and command of cooking techniques. The dining experience at the Chef's Table is pleasing to the senses. When I entered the small establishment, surprisingly located in a strip mall across the street from some not so cute apartments, I first noticed the smell of garlic. Then, I noticed the beautiful decor, the open kitchen, scenic paintings of Turkey, and a spectacular bar made of an exotic granite. Even the menu is high-end, thoughtfully designed and beautiful. The very best part of the experience at the Chef's Table was the food. It is quite amazing! I ordered the mixed appetizer plate and selected four cold appetizers to go along with the fresh oven-baked Turkish bread. I selected (1) hummus, a mashed chickpea dip with garlic, lemon and spices; (2) Labni, a thick, Greek-style yogurt dip with garlic and walnuts; (3) Muammara, a roasted, red bell pepper dip with garlic, olive oil, pomegranate sauce and walnuts; and a (4) fried eggplant salad with onions and peppers. The mixed appetizer plate was delicious and very affordable at only $13.99 and it was enough food to share with 3 or 4 friends. If you go with a bigger group, order two mixed appetizer plates and try all of the chef's cold appetizers. For my entree, I ordered the Mixed Grill for one at a cost of $27.99. The mixed grill consists of grilled lamb and chicken doner, beef shish kabob and chicken shish kabob. The meat was flavorful and tender and served with rice, grilled vegetables and a house salad with vinaigrette. In Turkey, a doner is a large piece of meat that is sliced or minced, and stacked on a big skewer. The meat is cooked vertically on a rotisserie grill by rotating the meat next to the grill. For those of us familiar with Mexican food, the doner is similar to the vertical cooking style used for "tacos al trompo." The taste of the food was exceptional and I got a great value for my money. I will revisit the Chef's Table often and seriously try to sample everything on his menu. If you are like me and you don't play with your food, then you are going to love the Chef's Table. Ya'll better go get you some!!!! read more
I ordered online for pickup, it only took about 20 minutes for my food to be ready. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous and a great place for a date night. Pide was so delicious especially with the dipping sauce. I personally didn't like the Turkish salad because there was so much parsley in it, it made it too bitter tasting for me but I'm a super taster so it was probably a me thing. read more
I dined at this place for the first time on today. I'm happy my friend invited me because I've never heard of this place. I travel this road daily but I've never noticed this restaurant. We were pleasantly greeted by our waitress, Melissa, and she did an excellent job explaining the menu and providing suggestions, for first timers. The food was absolutely delicious. It tasted so fresh and clean and it was properly cooked. The presentation was beautiful also. Although the restaurant is small, it's hard to notice when your is in your meal. The restaurant is very clean as well as the bathrooms. The decor is nice and this place has a rather romantic atmosphere. Thank you for such superb customer service and cooking! 5 stars isn't enough but that's all I can rate. You are so much better than a 5! Keep up the great work!! read more
10/10. I could eat here every day! Didn't make it on a weekday for the wrap/sandwich but still enjoyed a delicious plate. Their bread and dip is delicious (there's no name for the red dip\salsa). Also recommend trying the lentil soup. The portions are very large. I shared a plate read more

Food and service were immaculate. The decorations were also very beautiful. Overall great experience. 4 stars though because I took my 6month old with me and they don't have changing tables in the restrooms. They do have high chairs and it's a family friendly environment. read more

Chef's table is one of my favorite lunch spots in San Antonio. The food is always oozed to perfection and delicious. I love their bread a little charred and always order Maummara as a starter. It's a smaller establishment, so if you go right during lunch rush, there will be a wait. Staff is attentive and makes great recommendations. I love the decor, and it reminds me of my trip to Istanbul. Highly recommend, and I will continue to go back! read more

I tried this place for lunch just to see if it was worth the hype. The space is pretty small inside so be aware. The guy at the front was very nice and helpful, he quickly grabbed the bread and oil when I sat down. I tried the hummus and the gyro. The hummus was very good, but they don't serve it with naan, which was a little annoying. The gyro was solid, but definitely not the best I've had. There is a lot of competition for this kind of cuisine in the area, so it's a 4/5 for me. read more
