    Gyro Wrap 10/24
    Sabrina S.

Love love Mediterranean food and this place was good... I enjoyed my plate. Parking was easy, since the restaurant was located in a large strip mall. Lots of outdoor and indoor seating were available. We were immediately greeted by our server and was able to choose our seating. I ordered the koobideh kafta kebab. Loved it! Tasty with the perfect amount of spice and juiciness. I chose the Greek salad sans feta and enjoyed it so much. I don't know what kind of dressing it was tossed with, but it was delicious! The garlic sauce that accompanied the kafta was super garlicky, but that's the way I like it.... smothered that all over my koobideh. The rest of the table ordered : Gyro wrap- mostly meat which was fine, but it needed some produce for color, taste, and variety. Kabab Combination plate- my friend found the chicken to be very dry and the beef gamey. Combination plate- the chicken shawarma was dry. Great service. Food needs a little tweak with the way it's cooked. Chicken breast can be very dry and gyro needs some life with color instead of one sliced tomato. Free cheesecake offer with check in is not available anymore, but they were nice enough to honor one slice of cheesecake for the table to share.

Relaxed Greek restaurant. My wife enjoyed the vegetable plate. The chicken Kabob was excellent. We enjoyed our dinner on the patio with soothing background music.

First time going here and it won't be the last:) plenty of seating during lunch time. It's very nice inside too with outside seating options as well. The waiter asked if it was my first time and I told him yes. He thoroughly explained the menu to me. I had the rose tea and it was so good with just the right amount of sweetness. I couldn't decide between the gyro plate or the shawarma plate but why not have both with the combination plate right? So good! Had great a serving size I could only finish half of it. Everything on the plate was delicious. Excellent place:)

Delicious food and wonderful service! Although the meal was great, I thought our server made the experience superb. (He was super attentive and cracked some jokes, which is always a plus for me lol.) The interior was nicely decorated, and there is also outdoor seating available. For the appetizer, I tried the Labneh, which is a dairy/cheese dip accompanied by pita bread. The labneh reminded me of somewhat of a thicker sour cream/yogurt, and it was good but I think my taste buds prefer a less tart dip. I also got the Lamb Tikka Kabab, which was cooked medium rare and seasoned perfectly. Also, portion sizes were reasonable for the price. I'll be adding Dallah into my rotation of go-to Mediterranean spots in SA!

The food and the service were both excellent. My daughter and I went for dinner and were not disappointed. It is a bit pricey but we didn't go for lunch and we did have the lamb which is well worth the cost. They also give huge portions that gave us two meals with the leftovers. I highly recommend giving this place a try.

I was invited by a friend to eat at Dallah for my birthday and it was well worth it. The food was delicious and the location ideal. We ordered the Labneh, creamy Middle Eastern soft cheese served with tanour bread and shirazi, cucumber tomato salad. They were both excellent. I also ordered a vegetable wrap with a side salad. Very delicious and a large portion to take home for later enjoyment. In fact, we were able to take extras of all of the food ordered. The experience of eating at Dallah was outstanding. The place is light and open, surrounded by windows and minimalist decor. Service was impecable and our server was very friendly. Prices were ok, but portions and food preparation made for a flavorful eating experience. Dallah is worth a try when wanting to enjoy some excellent Middle Eastern food.

This place is beautiful and welcoming. We were immediately greeted with friendly smiles and chose our seats. Sorry I didn't get photos of the food. I was so hungry and it was SO delicious! We ordered the Dallah Mixed kabob but we substituted a lamb kabob for the chicken. The portions of the meat were huge. We ended taking a gallon of the Dallah rose water iced tea home! Plus 4 pieces of the huge meat home. We will definitely be coming back for more! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

This location is close to the medical area of San Antonio. Ample parking for all of the businesses there. Plenty of seating between the outside and inside. Our server was great, friendly and attentive enough. I ordered the Gyro and fries, it was good, there was a lot of meat! I feel like it could have had some other veggies in there too, maybe some lettuce.. ? My husband got a combo plate and felt that the meat tasted a little gamy (wild). Overall a good experience.

This is the best welcome/initial impression any restaurant should have!

I tried this particular restaurant once before for home delivery. Enjoyed their food a lot, fresh-tasting and just simply delicious. Good thing my cousin, my aunt and uncle finally decided to try it too for a dine-in lunch just last Saturday. Upon entering the restaurant I already felt good when I saw their perfect sanitation rating, cleanliness is not a question at all, we just need to order our food and enjoy. We were greeted and seated by this wonderful young lady (didn't get her name though) but she was very warm and welcoming. She even asked if we have been there before, we told her it's our first time and she said that we are in for a treat. She's really serious because from the labneh appetizer with the freshly prepared homemade tanour bread to the refreshing Greek salad, yummy spanakopita, tasty hummus and baba ganoush, with perfectly cooked palafel and delish gyro and chicken shawarma, we are totally filled-up satisfied and happy. My aunt's and uncle's gyro wrap and chicken shawarma wraps are also both Yummilicious! Our server Nicolas was very efficient, prompt personable and equally warm like the young lady who welcomed us. Although there was a mistake with my aunt's order, she was served beef shawarma wrap instead and had to wait a while for her chicken wrap, Nicolas made sure it's been taken cared of efficiently and as fast as they can. We also didn't forget to check-in with Yelp and avail of our free slices of cheesecake. Nicolas mentioned that although the owner said that the deal is over/expired already, they still honored it. They should have updated Yelp if this deal is no longer available so diners like us would not expect. Also, it's noted on the menu that take-out may have include a container fee, we were never charged for it. The dining area is not so big, the interior decors are minimal but very Mediterranean feel, homey and just the right level of jazzy music piped-in. They have limited patio/outside covered dining area as well with a very cute fountain area and other decors giving you the ambience of somewhere in the Middle East/Mediterranean. The owner/manager was very warm and all smiles were on our way out after our satisfying lunch. It was indeed a very excellent first time dine-in experience for all of us. We'll definitely be visiting again in the future. This is way much much better than Pasha, their food service and ambience are all homey and on-point. Underrated delicious Mediterranean food and just quietly tucked in a little corner on Babcock and Eckher Roads. This is a hidden gem that must not be missed.

This is my go to place when I want a healthy lunch. Their salads are so good. Everything is fresh, and always amazing. The feta is not too salty and the sun dried tomatoes adds a slight sweetness and texture. I always get it with chicken and the portions are hefty. Oh can't forget about the fresh flat bread with dipping oil. Service is alway on point here. They are very attentive and fast and the ambiance is inviting, clean , and a great place to join friends for a quick lunch.

Went for weekday lunch with a large party. The servers were patient, polite, and attentive. There are a decent amount of tables inside and a nice outside patio which is covered and decorated with a middle eastern/Mediterranean vibe. Theres also a decorative wall for photo ops. The service was fast and they had a lot of take out orders at the same time. The food was good and the price to portions was excellent. Everything was tender and seasoned well. Pita bread was also provided for the table. Also they have Mexican coke and a house made rose water iced tea that was delicious!

Our twelve guests ranged in age from 14-79 years, and everyone had a wonderful experience. We began with waters for the table, soft drinks, and cocktails/mocktails (Man Walks into a Bar, Amba No. 5, Don Alberto, Green Shug Collins). Due to our large party, we had booked a chef's tasting experience, which was spectacular. The appetizers were plentiful, flavorful, and unique. Our server, Anissa, did a wonderful job of explaining each dish-- its components, highlights, even suggesting that after finishing the beef dumplings, we stir the oil and yogurt together for an amazing pita dipping sauce. Our meal included four meats-- actually five, considering an off menu chef's creation for our pescatarian guest. It was such an immersive experience, I never took out my phone to capture photos of the food (or our group, sadly). Three desserts topped off the evening. When (not if) we return, we'll certainly request Anissa again. She made the evening a complete delight, even bringing out celebratory candles for our honored guests.

Bib Gourmand? Went after reading all the rave reviews,…read moreespecially about the Table of Joy tasting menu. All the reviews highlight the creativity, the fresh take on Mediterranean cuisine. So we went for the $65 pp Table of Joy. Everything was tasty, the pita bread served blazing hot is a stand out. Our first course options were hummus and Hungarian feta with Aleppo pepper. Both very tasty but not terribly creative choices I thought. Then a bean salad arrived. Again tasted very nice, a nice cold bean salad. Saffron chicken skewer and a pork souvlaki skewer. Pork was quite tough, although a very nice char. Chicken was tender and the orzo pasta was very interesting. Dessert was chocolate pudding with some edible flowers, dill, sesame seed and small cookies crumbles on top. Yes, it all tasted very good. Service attentive. Nice ambiance. However I was expecting more for our $200 ( 2 Table of Joy, 2 beers and a Turkish coffee). Not more food, the portions were not an issue, but something more creative. Something that would change my impression of Mediterranean cuisine. I can get hummus, feta & skewers at any number of much more reasonably priced Mediterranean restaurants. Even taking into account 'The Pearl mark up', in the end I can't say I'm impressed. Disappointed we spent that much money. Can't recommend this to friends or family.

Upon entry, my guest and I were greeted promptly and invited to sit anywhere we liked. My guest and I immediately noticed the traditional Turkish aromatics that filled the establishment. The waitress who tended to our table was engaging and explained the menu in depth as well as vouched for the food's authenticity. As my guest and I wanted to try multiple menu items, we elected to order the dishes that offered an array of food. Appetizer: Cold Platter This dish included hummus, babaganoush, dolma, ezme, and piyaz. The plater was properly "stacked" with the flavors of the app. going from "punchy" to mild. The piyaz was a perfectly balanced white bean salad packed with Mediterranean flavors. This combination of white beans, tomatoes, onions, and parsley was simple and yet deliciously satisfying! The dolma on this dish was a perfect combination of filling vegetables, grape seeds, Rumex, hornbeam, and quince leaves, with a kick of lemon. The babaganoush was light and refreshing. The simple combination of roasted eggplant, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and salt is something that is not to be missed if you are looking for a vitamin packed dip. The Ezme "mashed" was made mainly with tomatoes, cucumber, and olive oil and packed a little punch, which most likely was accredited to the peppers. Main: Hot Mixed Platter This dish included meatballs, chicken, beef, and lamb (doner) atop veggies and rice. All the meats on the plate were seasoned to perfection and tender. My guest and I ate the meats so quickly that I am not able to appropriately describe the flavors other than with the a word, "delectable". Dessert: Dessert Platter This platter had a sampling of Tiramisu, čupavci, KÜnefe, and Baklava. Although the čupavci and KÜnefe looked great, I couldn't eat them as they both are made with coconuts (to which I am allergic). I actually took a bite of the KÜnefe before I realized that it had coconut shavings in it. With this dessert, the cheese is arranged between two layers of Kadayıf (shredded phyllo), cooked until golden, and soaked in a sweet syrup. The čupavci (sponge cake) was soaked in chocolate sauce, then dipped in unsweetened, shredded coconut. Fun fact: Čupavci means "furry" because of the fuzzy surface the coconut provides, which I learned when I visited Turkey many years ago. Java Folks who read my reviews know that I am a java junkie. So, of course, I requested the Turkish coffee. Turkish coffee is prepared with more water than its Italian counterparts and is meant to be sipped rather than drunk quickly like a shot. There is also a tradition of reading the grinds at the bottom of the cup to tell fortunes, known as tasseography. Turkish coffee cups are small, similar to the size of an espresso cup, but with a rich history of their own. This coffee is prepared traditionally and provided a much needed pick me up. This family restaurant has authentic quality food and the highest level of service. If in the area, this locally owned spot is worth a try. Total for the meal before tip $89.00 #supportlocal

It doesn't feel like a strip mall restaurant. It feels intentional. The pastry case alone deserves its own review. Piped butter cookies, rose-dotted squares dusted with cardamom, delicate filled rolls -- it's the kind of display that makes you order dessert before you've even sat down. And then the food. The chicken shawarma bowl is not playing around -- seasoned chicken, kalamata olives, crumbled feta, creamy garlic sauce over a bed of greens, finished with cracked pepper. Every bite is layered and bold. The kind of meal that makes you pause mid-fork and just appreciate it. What sets Tripoli's apart isn't just the food or the ambiance. It's that the whole experience feels curated. Like someone who actually loves this culture built this place and meant every single detail. San Antonio has been sleeping on this gem. Wake up!!

The ambiance was great, everything from the decorative rugs, Arab writing on the wall, tagine pottery and brass crafts were perfectly displayed. The tabbouleh salad was very tasty, it had the right amount of ingredients making it pretty as well as colorful placed in the neat brass metal bowl. Now with the things that require immediate remedial attention: 1. The burger was overrated, overcooked and dry. 2. The chick pea salad lacked chick peas, dressing, onions and feta cheese. 3. The lamb Kofta plate was prepared right however, it was not enough meat for the price and the cream sauce tasted like straight butter with a hint of garlic. The pita bread was lukewarm and looked like it had been unwrapped, quartered and thrown in a microwave for 30 seconds prior to serving it. 4. Drinks Ordered: The Cafe' Arabia was very tasty BUT, I didn't get it until we were almost done with our meal. We ordered drinks when we were first seated so that was a big red flag. My wife also ordered the Moroccan mint teapot and she didn't get it until after I got my coffee. I told the barista/waiter to cancel it when I got my coffee but he said it was also ready for us and could put it in a to-go cup for her. That kind of defeated the whole experience of drinking tea while waiting for our meal. 5. The service was really slow. Took over 15 minutes to get our (tap) waters and 20 minutes for our food when we were the only ones in the restaurant until we had placed our order. 6. The waitress needs some serious people skills and bussing training to know how to serve food and drinks. She touched the tops of the glasses her fingers. She didn't greet us and practically dropped the plates on the table when she brought them out. To add insult to injury, she put the handheld pay device on the table without asking us if we wanted or needed anything else. My kids wanted to try out some desserts, so luckily for us, the nearby HEB has plenty to offer. I had high hopes for this place because of what the owner posted on Instagram and it is so close to our neighborhood. Guess we will have to continue driving further into the city to other Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern restaurants that have better food and service.
