Awesome and friendly service. Clean, and quiet. Dinner and dessert was delicious. Hookah bar is attached.

Service was over the top, 10/10 Staff was knowledge, chose the hookah blue mist flavor and did not disappoint. Good music, clean and friendly. Would highly recommend.

I had a great experience. I got warak enab and chicken shwarma. Both were very juicy and flavorful. For dessert I had the kunafeh which was the first good one I've had since moving to San Antonio. Will be returning and inviting friends.

After an event I looked on Google to see what restaurants were around. Hala Cafe popped up and i wanted to support local and it was Mediterranean food! We first thought it was closed, but realized it was at the back of the parking lot. A young guy greeted us and had us sit wherever letting us k ow there was outside seating too. I got their popular dish. Eh. It was okay. Not something I'd get again. They're open until 2a. And apparently are busy at that time too!

Slow Wednesday at lunchtime and immediately struck by the sweet smelling hookah as you walk in. There's only one server but she was so sweet and helpful. The food is delicious and the portions are very generous!! Hummus is served with large freshly cooked naan that arrives warm and all was flavorful. The plate shown here is the chicken tikka. The dressing on the salad is phenomenal tasting of fresh herbs almost like a pesto with a nice basil undertone. The rice was light and flavorful and the chicken too while also being tender. The charred tomato and peppers added a nice touch. I'd definitely return to this cutely decorated cafe.

The ambiance with the music and the flavorful smell of hookah greets you as you walk in. If you like hot tea, you need to try the Iraqi tea and even better with some honey. It's a fragrant cardamom tea. The lamb tikka plate and beef tikka plate were very flavorful and the meat was tender. I really enjoyed the dressing on the salad too. The rice was tasty! Our server was attentive and helpful and courteous. I would say the only bad thing is it was hard to eat with the little plastic fork.

Service is a bit slow so don't come in hangry because there's only one person serving for the entire dining area, food is phenomenal and generous servings, clean tables and overall a great hidden gem otherwise

Enjoyed eating lunch here. The pita bread was so thin and tasty! The baba ghanoush was very flavorful and smoky. The gyro plate was very filling. Rice was light and had a delicious taste.

I was excited to try this place because it has good reviews, it's close to my home and I like supporting local. It is a little hidden, but GPS does take you to the right place. We went on a Saturday for dinner. The place only had two other patrons when we arrived. The service was a little spotty. We asked for plates twice. We were served and not given utensils. To be fair, the server was also the cashier. The food was also a little spotty. I am not an expert in this type of cuisine, but I've had similar in the past. The price is similar to those popular Mediterranean restaurant in town. Hummus: it was good. A good serving for an appetizer. The bread wasn't that great. It was thin and flavorless. 5/5 for the hummus 3/5 for the bread Dolmas: serving is four. They were served warm. The sauce that came with them reminded me of tzatziki sauce, but it was very thick and didn't have the typical flavor of tzatziki sauce. 4/5 Falafel wrap: good size. Good flavor. Came with fries. The fries were good too. 5/5 Lamb Tikka: the lamb was flavorful. They served a good portion of it. The rice was bland. The salad was ok. Some of the lettuce was wilted and the dressing was lacking flavor. 4/5 When you're done eating, you pay at the register. Parking is on site, but shared.

Delicious spot for veggie eggplant baba ghanouj, hummus, pitas and tabouli salads. Kebabs could use some spice to them but the falafels are delicious and crispy. Recommend grabbing some tea boxes on your way out. They have some exotic flavors of tea

We ended up here for dinner on Sunday night with our party of 10 and didn't realize it was a hookah joint too. However, the hookah area was outside and we non smokers enjoyed our food inside in the family area. The place is clean and the food was decent. We got a family platter, plus hummus and some wraps. Everything was good except the lamb kabobs were overdone and chewy. The poor server was alone but did a good job managing us inside and all the hookah customers outside. The area is kinda sketchy but there's ample parking with decent lighting outside. Check it out.

The ambiance was great, everything from the decorative rugs, Arab writing on the wall, tagine pottery and brass crafts were perfectly displayed. The tabbouleh salad was very tasty, it had the right amount of ingredients making it pretty as well as colorful placed in the neat brass metal bowl. Now with the things that require immediate remedial attention: 1. The burger was overrated, overcooked and dry. 2. The chick pea salad lacked chick peas, dressing, onions and feta cheese. 3. The lamb Kofta plate was prepared right however, it was not enough meat for the price and the cream sauce tasted like straight butter with a hint of garlic. The pita bread was lukewarm and looked like it had been unwrapped, quartered and thrown in a microwave for 30 seconds prior to serving it. 4. Drinks Ordered: The Cafe' Arabia was very tasty BUT, I didn't get it until we were almost done with our meal. We ordered drinks when we were first seated so that was a big red flag. My wife also ordered the Moroccan mint teapot and she didn't get it until after I got my coffee. I told the barista/waiter to cancel it when I got my coffee but he said it was also ready for us and could put it in a to-go cup for her. That kind of defeated the whole experience of drinking tea while waiting for our meal. 5. The service was really slow. Took over 15 minutes to get our (tap) waters and 20 minutes for our food when we were the only ones in the restaurant until we had placed our order. 6. The waitress needs some serious people skills and bussing training to know how to serve food and drinks. She touched the tops of the glasses her fingers. She didn't greet us and practically dropped the plates on the table when she brought them out. To add insult to injury, she put the handheld pay device on the table without asking us if we wanted or needed anything else. My kids wanted to try out some desserts, so luckily for us, the nearby HEB has plenty to offer. I had high hopes for this place because of what the owner posted on Instagram and it is so close to our neighborhood. Guess we will have to continue driving further into the city to other Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern restaurants that have better food and service.

Before we even got to the counter, the owner was greeting us and asked if we'd like to sample one of their falafel. I declined because I really didn't want them to lose product if I ended up passing on them. We DID end up ordering two Chicken Shawarma Sandwiches, one with fries, and a Chicken Shawarma Plate with an order of 4 falafel. The only bad thing I can say about any of these menu items is that I have to drive to far to get them again. Thankfully, they have wheels so I'm signing up for their alerts so I can catch them when they're closer to my part of town. I can't imagine anyone complaining about a lack of flavor or quality. As someone who is very particular about flavor, I had ZERO complaints. The tzatziki was garlicky and lemony, as it should be. The hummus was fluffy, yet creamy with a twang from the garlic, tahini, and olive oil drizzle. The chicken was truly treated with respect and love as the flavor from the marinade and grill revealed. It was tender and crispy on the edges, which is the hallmark of a well-treated piece of grilled meat. The rice was tender and flavorful as well. The namesake falafel were some of the best I've had, and I've lived in NYC and the DMV, where falafel are like taken very seriously. The kind owner handed a paper boat with two of them drizzled in a tahini sauce and said "For you." After one bite, I was so glad I ordered a side of them. They had a shattery-crisp exterior and a bright green, fluffy interior that tasted of herby mint, creamy chickpeas, and bold garlic. I was not expecting such a delicious falafel from a food truck parked outside of a military hospital, but, you can't choose a food truck by it's vinyl wrapping. I'd risk a traffic ticket waving them down if I saw them driving down 1604. This is a veteran owned and operated business. I can't wait until they're on my side of town.
