I love coming to Shisha Cafe and have been coming here for years in all honesty! I had a friend bring me here to study one day and I've been coming since. The ambiance here is wonderful and I love coming back either by myself or with friends (especially after work to relax and eat.) I've learned very early on to trust anyone that works here because their recommendations for food and for hookah never disappoint. My first time having hookah one of the wonderful women that works here quite literally said "here, let me make it for you - I make great hookah" and I've been getting the same order ever since. Tonight one of the guys here switched up my order for me since they were out of a Shisha flavour I wanted to try and got me a new blend that was amazing! Tonight our waitress Eslam was so sweet and took great care of us (like always with anyone here!!) and totally made it look easy dealing with so many people. Shisha Cafe is honestly one of my favourite places to hang out late at night to relax. I usually come here for friends and family gathering but I will no longer be returning until this issue is Resolved. From the start of our visit, our server ( Chasity ) seemed under the influence or not fully attentive, as she was slurring her words and appeared unsteady while walking. This immediately made us feel uncomfortable. She then got our order wrong and did not check on our table to see if we needed anything. Her tone also came across as rude and passive-aggressive, which added to the negative experience. At the end of the meal, when I paid in cash, she quickly asked if I needed change, which felt unprofessional and presumptive. I hope the restaurant addresses these concerns and improves customer service and making sure all employees are not under the influence when working. I would love to speak to a higher up and or area supervisor about my experience and how this issue can be resolved. I will not be returning until then. read more

They ended up giving me a strawberry one on accident, then they gave me another chocolate milkshake no charge. The strawberry was mid. The chocolate was very chocolatey and tasted like they just put ice cream in a cup and melted it in a microwave. The milkshakes were not terrible. It is honestly up to your personal preference. I DO recommend coming here. The falafel was shmackin... it was bussin. The food here looked and tastes great. The presentation was top tier. The hookah was amazing. There aren't too many late night options for food but some of my local co-workers suggested this place. I wasn't expecting much because the other option they presented me with was Whataburger-so not exactly an abundance of options. The locals knew what they wanted but I think I needed a little more time so I made the drive over there and to order in person. I walked in and the crowd was mostly there for the shisha-they seemed to be having a great time in the covered patio. I stayed around the register while I looked for my late night meal and got the beef kabob platter with the rice. I tried to get bread but I was told that it came with. I waited a little bit but I had a large order so honestly it wasn't too long. The drive back wasn't too long so the food was still hot and fresh and I was super surprised by how good the food was for a late night establishment. This is one of my favorite restaurants, the flavor is great, only bryani rice I've ever tasted that taste more of spices than rice, it is awesome! We love the fresh juices and the sandwiches that are more like wraps... my one issue is that servers never seem to be completely transparent with prices... I've had twice been told something is a little bit more, but I get charged full price... or asked what side I wanted, which turned out to not be part of the dish but it was worded as if it was... I was in search for a restaurant with Lebanese food and outdoor dining yesterday and found Shisha Cafe. They have an expansive covered outdoor area. I had only quickly scanned the listing when I first found it online and had known that this is more Iraqi-style Mediterranean cuisine. I started out with the rainbow smoothie which was fresh watermelon, banana and mango juices. So refreshing! My husband had the melon juice which was from a honey dew melon. The Mix Dip Plate was a great sampler plate with Hummus, Baba Ghanouj, Iraqi Eggplant Salad, Jajeek and Labneh but I wanted to try Toom and changed out the Labneh for it. After trying this food, I feel that all the other Mediterranean food I had before didn't seem as authentic or flavorful as this. My Lebanese mentor used to make Jajeek and this tasted just like her homemade version! I was a little worried with more food to come because I was semi-full already with the Mix Dip Plate. I had ordered the Lamb Tikka sandwich and my husband ordered the Chargrilled Chicken. He really wanted to try the Grilled Fish (Iraqi Magoof) but need a 3-hour notice on that one. I had a bite of the Lamb Tikka and it was tender and such flavor! It was not small at all as I had expected. More food to enjoy later. My husband enjoyed the Chargrilled Chicken but it was slightly on the dry side. I had the chicken skin so that was tasty. I save some room to taste test their desserts so we tried the Baklava, Basbousa (coconut cake), and Halawa Dihiniyya (Iraqi fudge). Everything was delicious! The Baklava was so flaky. There was so much dessert that we ended up taking the rest home too. We realized after the fact that we should've ordered tea to go with our desserts. Next time! Erica was a great server who patiently answered all my questions! This place is the real deal and is the best kept secret for authentic Mediterranean food! Shisha Cafe is also known for their hookah. Kababchi Grill next door is the same food, indoor seating only and doesn't allow the hookah. Everything is halal here which is based on how food is prepared. I love the atmosphere here, many groups playing cards, backgammon, or just having a great time relaxing and socializing, they are not in the business of pushing you out to free tables, you can stay as long as you like.
