Been a few years since Ive had cava and it's not as good as I remember. The pita chips were horrible had a weird aftertaste. And the rice wasn't even cooked. I like the harissa honey chicken a the toppings but it hard to mess up pickled unions and cucumbers lol. Overall I would say it's a bit over priced for what you get and the quality isn't even good. I had a bowl with baby spinach, saffron basmati rice base and dded a some tzatziki.I was doubtful about the braised lamb but tried it and was quite impressed with the rich flavor and tenderness of the meat. I topped that with some crisp Persian cucumber and crumbled feta. Then added a little garlic herb tahini. AMAZING flavor combination!!! The food is wonderful and there were a stead stream of dine in and take out customers. Plus plenty of Door Dashers. BEWARE!! I watched multiple bowls being made, including mine, and ingredients were half-scooped across the board, resulting in bowls that were visibly half full. When I pointed out that the menu clearly shows full, generously filled bowls, I was told that getting more would be an upcharge. That's not an add-on... that's charging extra for what appears to be the standard portion shown on the menu. If portions have been reduced, the menu and pricing need to reflect that honestly. If not, staff need to serve consistent, full portions without customers having to question it. This feels like a policy issue, not an employee issue, but it needs to be fixed. read more

Yum!!!!! Easy, nutritious, and healthy! This place is an upscale Mediterranean like Chipotle. For $10.17 you pick your bowl- grains, greens, half/half with all the toppings/dressings. Extra charge for some. I chose a green bowl, but was blown away by the choices. It's not just spinach or romaine, but there's also arugula, kale, Brussels sprouts mixes etc. I went for the spinach and power greens. Follow the continual line to choose your base and toppings and some sections are unlimited. I love the fact that they list the toppings and any allergens. I'm dairy free so this truly helped in making my decision. Protein wise, I chose the beef meatballs and grilled chicken. In the end, topped of the bowl with half garlic and half jalapeño/cilantro dressing. Deelish! Ate the entire bowl and felt guilt free. I could eat this every day. It's healthy, it's fast, it's massive. For a busy student this is my dream meal in regards to efficiency and nutrition and taste. It's very clean at this location! My server was also fantastic in telling me which combinations of sauces were good to try based on a few taste decisions I told them as well. I absolutely do not like giving such a low rating for cava...I got hooked on cava when a friend told me about it in austin. The austin location i went to was great. Food was good, the atmosphere had a good vibe...buuuutttt this sa location left me extremely disappointed. My wife and I got there at 910 pm and they close at 1030 pm. So this may have had something to.do with the bad experience. When we entered the vibe was not at all the same..it was like we entered a cemetery. We ordered the bowls and asked for the white rice (the atx location had a lot more items in their rice), the guy put half a spoonful of rice in the bowls and patted it down to cover the bottom of the bowl. (Once again im thinking because they were going to close in a hour and half and didnt want to make more). There was hardly any rice in the bowl. One bowl I asked for a little bit of spinach and he packed in the spinach. They were rushing us too, like what do want what next and it didn't give me anytime to look over the different food. I like to mix it up everything. The servings of the meat were sparse as were the ingredients. ( seems like a common theme was going) Then we get to the end and we don't get asked if we want to dine in or to go they gave us a to go bag immediately and said have a nice night. The options can be overwhelming so you may want to research the menu ahead of time since the ordering process is much like an assembly line (think Chipotle or Freebirds). If you are unfamiliar with all the options, you can miss out, feel pressured, or order the wrong thing. The staff was not very friendly or helpful, but they were not rude. I agree with others when they say the falafels are small. It's ok In this bowl, but I'm not sure if I would like it as my main ingredient in a pita. The bowl comes with a small piece of pita. They have a good selection of drinks. My favorite was the cucumber mint. The price range is reasonable. Parking: plenty of parking - the lot is a little weird & you have to drive around to get to cava, but manageable Service: there's been a few things that the staff has messed up on,but they've always been quick to remedy it. Food: delicious. Especially as a a vegetarian. I get half Falafel and half veggie bowl with half lentils and half greens.
