Parking: A plaza in the suburbs so lots of free parking Building: It's an interesting plaza where there's kind of groupings of places this one is near a dry cleaners. It's nicer inside than it is outside. The spaces small they can accommodate larger groups because they just merged tables together. The chairs were comfortable. There's not a lot of space to get around if you have a mobility device and people are sitting at all the tables. But not that bad The goods: We went for brunch so we were mostly concentrating on brunch stuff. I got a veggie hash hash that came with an egg and toast. It was delicious. It came out steaming to the table and I appreciate the hot potatoes. Around our table people got omelets and Benedict's and mimosas. Everybody loved what they got. These people do a good brunch I saw a review with a guy said that they're hardly any people there. I'm not sure when he was driving by but for brunch it can fill up you really would like to make a reservation I think. Stuff is nice, the food came quick it was hardy and tasted delicious. Was it pushing the price point like someone else complained? I don't think so I've seen places that charge more for less. Will I be back? I have been and I got the same thing cuz I like to so much

It was hearty and flavorful! The eggs were very runny and I used the English muffins and delicious garlic home fries to soak it all up! I'm most pleasantly surprised that we can order from the brunch menu at dinner. I didn't try the AAA steak but I was told that this was absolutely delicious and he wished it was a bigger portion. The rice underneath is a pilaf :) Service was standard. I mean, I don't come here for the service anyway. It's a slightly upscale atmosphere here, no sweatpants please!

We were then told that the business will be going through a rebrand with a new name and new menu offerings. For the moment the only thing that has changed is the menu. The exterior and interior is exactly the same. Flavours are very Asian fusion with things like kimchi fried rice and bi bim bap but there are also more mainstream items such as Rigatoni Alfredo with chicken and short rib Benedict. Flavours are still good with decent portions. We were checked on several times so service was good. What was a miss was how the food came out of the kitchen. Food came out sporadically with the last dish a full 10 minutes after the first leaving that person sitting and waiting while everyone else ate. This is still a very popular place. It was almost full for a Monday lunch.

The vibe inside is cozy and relaxed with a modern café-bistro feel. It's bright, welcoming, and definitely lives up to the name "Chillax." It feels like the kind of place you can sit and enjoy a slow brunch or a casual dinner without feeling rushed. For brunch, two dishes really stood out. The braised pork eggs Benedict was fantastic. The pork was tender and flavorful, and it paired perfectly with the creamy hollandaise and poached eggs. The gochujang fried chicken brioche burger was another highlight. The chicken was crispy with just the right amount of spice, and the soft brioche bun tied everything together. We also came back for dinner and tried the seafood paella, which was rich, comforting, and packed with seafood. It's definitely a great dish to share. For drinks, the cheesy mango ice matcha was surprisingly good. The mango adds sweetness while the cheese foam makes it creamy and indulgent. A really unique combination that works well. Prices are pretty reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, with most dishes around the $20-$30 range. Overall, it's a great spot for brunch, dinner, or just drinks. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!

We arrived at the small plaza with a small parking lot today (Saturday) around 10:15 a.m. & luckily enough, it was a quiet start to the day as parking was plentiful though I can imagine it being a bit hectic during busy times. This location (there are 2 others) is in the plaza right next to the Richmond Hill location for AI Sushi. As soon as we entered, we were promptly greeted & seated at a nice corner table. Shortly after that, a nice gentleman came to placed a QR code at our table asking if we've been here before. After we said no, he explained to us how to order using the QR code. We can all scan and order individually then it shows up as one large order for the table. I think he said he can split the bill if needed & we would just need to let him know. The place itself was nice. A bit above casual with around 20 tables inside. Well light and seemed clean. I ordered the Thai red curry pasta with clams, hubby and our friend both ordered the chicken and waffles, and my cousin ordered the mushroom benedict. We all ordered a drink (hubby a flat white with the rest ordering some type of latte). Our food came pretty quickly. My pasta was delicious and had good heat (spicy kick) to it & the red curry sauce was full of deep rich flavors. I enjoyed the clams but they were a bit small so it's taste got overpowered by the sauce. I would have preferred it if they gave me fewer but larger clams. I had a taste of my hubby's fried chicken & it was really good. The batter was well seasoned & crispy but not oily and the chicken thigh was moist. The staff know what they are doing there. We were asked whether we are enjoying our food & they always made sure our water glasses were full. I highly recommend this place & am looking forward to my next visit there!

There was another staff that came by to check and the only time she ever came back was when we had to ask another server for the bill and she brought it over. We ordered the steak & eggs which was $28 and it was not edible. It looked like stir fry, chewy and tough as if it was the last portion sitting in a pan on top of the stove. It was so salty we had to let them know we couldn't eat it without getting hypertension and I assume the manager came over to give us a fresh one to go but still the beef was tough to eat. We also got the spicy Nashville Benny for $25 and the chicken looked as if it was frozen from a bag, nothing nashville about it. The smoked salmon benny was just as disappointing with two small pieces of salmon on each, you could barely see the existence of it. The only thing that looked and tasted good was the tres leches pancake which came out fresh, fluffy and presentable.

When we arrived it was busy and there was one table open near the entrance and were told we could have that table once it had been cleared. There person who seats you also takes your order, brings your order to the table and clears the table. There was another person preparing drinks and we only saw him come out from behind the counter when there were no drink orders. It took a while for her to clear our table. At one point she stood behind the counter with a look on her face that could be best described as '...what do I do first..' What was ordered: Kale Caesar Salad - fresh croutons with generous bits of bacon; very lightly dressed Chicken and Waffles - 2 drumsticks and a breast served with 4 pieces of waffle and a small side salad Shrimp Eggs Benny - 2 deep fried shrimp patties; served with baby potatoes and a side salad The chicken was very crispy and still juicy but based on the colour of the fry the oil needs to be changed. It came with 2 small containers of syrup (not real maple syrup) and some that looked like plum sauce. The potatoes on the eggs Benny were good but when you deep fry the shrimp patty you wonder what other filler there might be in the patties. Service was decent despite the fact that there was one person who served and cleaned. An okay experience....not sure it warrants another return.

A Hidden Gem with NYC Vibes & Central Perk Charm!…read more Took my bestie to Ravine Cafe today for bunch to celebrate her birthday, and we are still buzzing. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere hit that perfect sweet spot, that classy but cozy, with a definite New York City energy. Think lots natural light with big windows, warm and welcoming lighting, and that effortless "cool" that made us feel like we have stepped into Central Perk. Only things missing is the big orange couch and the oversized coffee mugs. The menu? Bougie without the sting. We both had the eggs Benny, while mine was the Cajun shrimp (unique and flavourful), hers was the classic bacon Benny. They were both beautifully plated, yet surprisingly reasonable for the quality. What really sealed it was the service. Staff was attentive and smiley, but the owner stole the show, came by, chatted for a solid 15 minutes, and shared the restaurant's backstory. Felt like old-school hospitality, not rushed commercially influenced like most of the commercial restaurants in the area. Perfect for a brunch gathering, a date, or just pretending you are in a rom-com. We will for sure be back, and with more friends. Thank you for the great service and amazing food!

The eggs benedict like the TPA and GTA is tried and true and are the most popular. So if you want to be safe, that is a tempting option. However, we went for something unique to Hazel's instead we got: - Hazel's hash $16 - The peppers, jalapenos, and chorizo make this dish pack full of flavour and lighter and more unique than just eggs with potatoes. I mean, they put their name on it, so it's good! - Caker $15 - I didn't expect I'll like the Caker as much as I did. The sweet and savoury works! I love the moist pancake drizzled with some maple syrup. I'm usually not a big fan of plain bacon since it can get overly salty, but the combination with egg and pancake balances the flavours here, making it super comforting. Laaren, who took our call and served us, was full of energy and friendly, which tops the whole experience. We asked and learned more about him and found out it's just his first month at work.
