Yucky

Worst worst worst! My order was wrong, bun was hard, missing onion ring, dry dry dry..did I mention dry hamburger. I have never had a hamburger so dry. Thankfully I ordered with ketchup and mayo so those condiments helped the puck of dryness slid down my throat. Two small dry burgers $18.79. Nuff said...horribly horrible.

chicken tenders

Stopped by for a quick dinner before my flight. Regretted it. Chicken tenders were burnt and meat was very rubbery. Barely edible. I did not eat past more than a few bites before throwing the chicken tenders out. Pretty sure they were the worst chicken tenders I've had in my life. Fries were soggy. I also ordered mayo, but they forgot it.

Don't go here 30 mins wait for a burger It's Sunday and no hot dog or chicken and just burger and still take 30 mins The ordering system does not stop you from ordering what they ran out off. Some people waited 15-20 mins to find out there order was not completed. I told a few people trying to order that I and bunch of people waited 20 + mins and still no food Please click helpful

An unseasoned dry patty with a thick tomato and age old lettuce!
Keerthi C.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! This is classic example of how not to make a burger. Anyone who wants to make a good burger should be doing exactly opposite of what Cheeburger does. Burger: The burger bun was hard like a Bagel. The Patty was super dry. I am really curious to know how anyone can achieve that dryness. The tomato is super thick. The lettuce is at the least 10 days old. They forgot to season the patty. The fries were soggy. Nothing was right at this burger joint.

Wish I had consulted Yelp first, but I'll blame it on low blood sugar and jet lag. Warning to Yelper. Bun is stone cold out of the refrigerator or freezer. The cheese also was not put on the grill on top of the meat to become bubbly and melted. The mushrooms are dried out bits of jerky, Lettuce is like from a chopped salad bag. Huge waste of money. Now I'm just Hangry.

I was craving a burger while waiting for my flight. This was the fastest option in terminal 5.... I should've known better and checked the reviews. That aside, both the burger and chicken sandwich was dry. The fries and onion rings were soggy. 40usd for two combo meals I won't comeback unless this is the only restaurant open in the terminal.

Should've checked Yelp first. The saving grace was the tomato... the patty doesn't have any taste! Is this even beef... smh Don't be fooled by the cheap-ER prices...

two hot dogs with mustard and ketchup

Pros: automated ordering on an iPad, and that's about it Cons: ordered a hotdog and added cheese for $1, and for some reason was expecting an actual cheesedog. When I get my order, they gave me an extra hotdog (score) but neither one had cheese on it (okay...). Go back to the counter to let the cashier know and she actually tried to convince me that maybe I was supposed to go put cheese sauce on the hotdog myself from a non-existent cheese sauce machine (like the ones they have for 7-Eleven nachos). Then the cook comes out and accuses me of not having chosen the cheese option when ordering on the iPad (cause it's apparently difficult for a lot of people to use) and when I showed her the receipt saying I had paid the extra for cheese, she begrudgingly brings it back into the kitchen. Apparently their definition of a cheese dog was to just put a slice of American cheese under the hotdog. DO NOT EVER GO HERE!

Worst customer service ever experienced at an airport facility. I felt as if the establishment has seen so many guests throughout each day, that they really have lost their personal touch. The real issue is with the ordering system and employee knowledge.

Too heavy on the bread
Jen H.

Desperate times (early morning flight out of terminal 5 where the choices are slim and most places aren't open yet) call for desperate measures. But even in future states of desperation, I likely won't return. The $8 sausage egg and cheese sandwich was 95% white bread roll. The sausage was dry and flavorless. The egg tasteless. The $10 cheesesteak breakfast sandwich was marginally better. The beef was overly burnt in certain areas, but at least there was a more reasonable meat to bread ratio.

I kept getting a text from them that said my order is ready but no one was at the register to give it to me.

Rude employees, confusing order menu, dry cold burgers. Typical airport rip off trying to pass as a Shake Shake... Not even close.

0/5 don't waste your money here. The driest, most overpriced burger I've ever had. The bun was even stale.

Burger not even warm. Fries weren't warm either. $14 for a meal. Disappointing like most airport restaurants.

Funny story, I used to wait…read moreover 3 hours to get a Shake Shack burger at Madison Square Park back when there were only 2 Shake Shack locations. Now you can conveniently order a burger in no time from a location in the airport. You place your food order from a touch screen kiosk. You can also watch your order being prepared by employees in the kitchen. This location has the typical Shake Shack vibe and flair. I ordered the single-patty ShackBurger, a made-to-order quarter pound patty of 100% Angus beef with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and ShackSauce on a toasted potato bun. The burger really hit the spot before a flight. The burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and made fresh, with the perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and bun. Simple, classic, and satisfying. For an airport location, the quality held up surprisingly well. Service was a bit slow but everything came out hot and neatly put together. Prices are a bit higher at the airport, but the consistency and flavor made it worth it. Solid choice if you're craving a reliable burger at JFK and want something familiar and filling before takeoff.

I didn't have time to make a sandwich, and thought that GF items would be limited in the airport…read more My absolute favorite fries are crinkle fries! Idk exactly why. Perhaps they're evocative of my childhood and youth, when every diner and burger joint served them. So I headed to Shake Shack for some lovely delicious fries. Ordering is a pain. You use a kiosk. No live people. I had gotten a bottle of water. The screen said to "scan" any other items. There is no barcode and no scanner. After saying three or four times that I couldn't scan the water, someone came over. You have to page through the menu. Ugh. Paid, typed in my name, and waited. And waited. Finally, my name was called, and I got my fries and some napkins. I sat I a lounge chair right across from Shake Shack, and.....the fries were cold. Terrible, awful, crushing disappointment. I so rarely eat fries these days. I was anticipating hot, golden, lovely crispy fries. I got lukewarm semi-limp mostly underdone fries. A sad, sad feeling. There's no seating at Shake Shack, but you can sit at a gate or take your food with you. Employees were working very hard, so it's strange that my fries were cold. I picked them up right away when my name was called. I probably won't come back, if I am in this terminal another time.
