    Fries
    Jean T.

I didn't have time to make a sandwich, and thought that GF items would be limited in the airport. My absolute favorite fries are crinkle fries! Idk exactly why. Perhaps they're evocative of my childhood and youth, when every diner and burger joint served them. So I headed to Shake Shack for some lovely delicious fries. Ordering is a pain. You use a kiosk. No live people. I had gotten a bottle of water. The screen said to "scan" any other items. There is no barcode and no scanner. After saying three or four times that I couldn't scan the water, someone came over. You have to page through the menu. Ugh. Paid, typed in my name, and waited. And waited. Finally, my name was called, and I got my fries and some napkins. I sat I a lounge chair right across from Shake Shack, and.....the fries were cold. Terrible, awful, crushing disappointment. I so rarely eat fries these days. I was anticipating hot, golden, lovely crispy fries. I got lukewarm semi-limp mostly underdone fries. A sad, sad feeling. There's no seating at Shake Shack, but you can sit at a gate or take your food with you. Employees were working very hard, so it's strange that my fries were cold. I picked them up right away when my name was called. I probably won't come back, if I am in this terminal another time.

Stopped by Shake Shack at JFK Airport before my flight back to AUS. Funny story, I used to wait over 3 hours to get a Shake Shack burger at Madison Square Park back when there were only 2 Shake Shack locations. Now you can conveniently order a burger in no time from a location in the airport. You place your food order from a touch screen kiosk. You can also watch your order being prepared by employees in the kitchen. This location has the typical Shake Shack vibe and flair. I ordered the single-patty ShackBurger, a made-to-order quarter pound patty of 100% Angus beef with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and ShackSauce on a toasted potato bun. The burger really hit the spot before a flight. The burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and made fresh, with the perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and bun. Simple, classic, and satisfying. For an airport location, the quality held up surprisingly well. Service was a bit slow but everything came out hot and neatly put together. Prices are a bit higher at the airport, but the consistency and flavor made it worth it. Solid choice if you're craving a reliable burger at JFK and want something familiar and filling before takeoff.

They made my fries with no salt as requested and then let me know that they were no salt as they handed me the bag. Great service, and the fries were good.

Food: - shroom burger: 0/10, no sauce, two pieces of tomato + lettuce, not even wrapped - same price as the one that has a bun Service: - order came out fast - everyone was busy Ambiance: - close to B terminals

This review is for my experience in the Shake Shack in terminal 4 of JFK. This is the smaller one of two , and does not have sitting area, just the ordering tablets and pick up counter. I was impressed by how Quick my order came out and it was as good as any other Shake Shack location. I did notice that they have Higher prices and they do not accept coupons because it is an airport location. Great for a quick pick me up when in a rush.

Chicken shack with onions, pickles and tomatoes + side of hash brown tots with cheese ~$20

Decent prices (considering the airport inflation)... The chicken sandwich was pretty good. I also had the tots with cheese. Not too bad! Friendly staff. Long wait to get food once ordered tho. I recommend this spot out of anywhere else in the airport for food!

I remembered this restaurant from Chicago. Saw them at JFK International Airport in New York. Had to get us some burgers, fries, and drinks while we were waiting for our flight. You can order on a kiosk or at the counter. Food is cooked as you order even the fries are cooked to order. They also serve breakfast till 10am. Food was hot and fresh. Check your order when you get it. They tend to forget items. We were missing the fries. Other folks were also missing food items and had to return to the counter.

Just standing around , not bagging food . Nothing being cooked.

Food is cold, they have a bunch of staff standing around not doing a thing. Food sitting under a heat lamp pre made , yet it's slow. Expressed concerns to manager and was met with a distant look. All table were filthy. One of the 6 members of staff could have been cleaning . Really this falls to the management. Also you order on touch screen so really there was about 2/6 people actually doing somethin

Honestly- for airport food its not terrible. Service was quick which is clutch for a quick bite if you're tight in time. Food was cold. You'll see in the photos, my cheese didn't melt bc the sandwich was cold. The employees give off DMV employee vibes. The eating area was pretty clean. Granted I was there at 5am we were probably the first wave of customers. Not terrible at all. Flavor was consistent with what you expect from a shake shack.

Decent Shake Shack in JFK. Very fast service - easy ordering on the kiosk and the food came out quick. Not really anywhere to sit with tables which is a little annoying but otherwise the food is what you expect!

For being in an airport I thought this Shack Shack was pretty good. Prices were inflated but still wasn't THAT bad compared to other spots at JFK airport. Ended up getting a norms shack burger. It was small but it tasted good. The chicken shack sandwich was also pretty solid for what it was. The winner was definitely the crinkle cut fries. It was perfectly crispy and packed with a lot of flavor. No wonder there was a line at this spot because it's not bad and a great option for food at JFK international.

it's a shake shack at an airport it's going to take a little longer than normal. the menu is slightly condensed but they're not price gouging or anything crazy at least. if you're at the airport and want some shake shack it will definitely do

Located at Terminal 4 on the 3rd level, I was truly happy to grab a bite from here before my departure flight. There are self-kiosks to order from, and they were very busy. But my food came out quickly and everything was fresh and tasted great. The only thing is that they forgot to put fries in my bag but they remedied it right away after I let them know.

I placed a to-go order and when I questioned how long it would take, so that we could walk around and come back to pick up the order, the waiter responded with an unnecessarily snarky attitude, telling me that they were "not a fast-food restaurant." I wasn't asking for fast food. I was simply asking about the wait time. There was absolutely no reason to be condescending to a customer. Since I didn't have 30 minutes to wait, I asked him to cancel the order and refund my payment. This somehow made him even snarkier. I asked to speak to a manager, who I'm fairly convinced may be a fictional character at this location. After some additional attitude, he finally agreed to cancel the order. Except he didn't. Which raises the obvious question: why work in an industry that requires you to interact with people when you seem to actively resent interacting with people? If basic courtesy and politeness are beyond your emotional bandwidth, perhaps customer service is not the career path for you. I was charged for an order I never received, and the refund was never processed. I only discovered the charge much later when reviewing my bank statement and ultimately had to dispute the transaction with my bank to get my money back. Avoid this place like the bubonic plague. Honestly, the plague might offer better hospitality.

The exposed brick, greenery and neon "Let's Do Brunch" sign give it a fun vibe and make for some great pictures. It was quite busy when we were there, which wasn't surprising given its popularity. Our server, Syriah, was very good. She was friendly, attentive, made recommendations from the menu and even took our group photo for us -- and got a good one! We really appreciated her service. The food was good, although I wouldn't say it was exceptional. I've had better brunch food at other spots, but everything I had was enjoyable and nicely presented. I tried the mimosa flight, which was definitely fun and Instagram-worthy. The drinks were a little sweeter than I personally prefer, but Tropical Sunset was my favorite of the flight. And I have to mention the funniest part of the whole experience: before brunch, my Sorority sister kept texting me, "Let's do brunch." I kept responding, "Okay, WHERE?" She finally had to explain that LET'S DO BRUNCH was the name of the restaurant! So the place had us laughing before we even arrived. Overall, it's a cute, lively neighborhood spot with good food, fun drinks and very good service. My wife and I went on July 8th so I'm a little late with this review, but overall we had a pleasant experience. Service was a little slow, but it was pretty busy so that's understandable. We really enjoyed our meals--she had the chicken and waffles (pictured) and I had the steak, eggs with fries instead of homefries (not pictured because I dug into almost immediately). The chicken was flavorful and the waffles soft and fluffy. I am a Well Done Beef Warrior and the steak was well done without being dry and tough. We didn't love the cheesesteak eggrolls much as they were oily and had a weird aftertaste. Wouldn't order that but would absolutely go again for the mains. Also, PLEASE get the Dulce De Leche iced coffee, it's incredible. I had one with my meal and ordered another to go.
