As many have noted, they have a very diverse menu, so everyone should be able to find something they like from steak to a sandwich - shoot, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a steak sandwich. My wife enjoyed a chicken pot pie while I had a hankering for fried catfish - delish! We sat at the bar and enjoyed conversing with the very busy bartender, who made our second round of drinks a bit too strong - but hey, I think she was just trying to do us a favor. This was not a good experience. It started off with the minor irritant of the waitress giving us no straws, even though everyone around us had them. She took our orders, I ordered the honey dijon chicken with steamed broccoli and a loaded baked potato as the sides. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive, and wasn't even hot. Actually, it was barely even warm. The "loaded" baked potato was tiny, and barely had any toppings at all, the "chicken breasts" were preprocessed, preflavored shaped chicken patties, the honey dijon sauce was overpowering, and they put so much of it on the chicken that it got onto EVERYTHING, tainting the flavors of all the other stuff. I will say that, if they had used real boneless chicken breasts, and had not absolutely drowned the plate in sauce, it would have been a decent meal. Also, the steamed broccoli was excellent, as were the sauteed mushrooms that came with the chicken. Horrible experience ever! My boyfriend and I came to eat here on 10/18. As soon as we sat down, we ordered a spinach dip through the kiosk, never once received it. I've come here for my salads for quite awhile and I would always get the half order of Onion rings to add to my salad. I was told that now that Dardens has taken over lots of things have changed! Half orders are no longer allowed on the onion rings! You have to buy a full order of 26 . Wow !!! Called the manager over to ask why the change and he didn't have an answer and didn't seem to care that I was upset with the change! The menu had a great selection of items to choose from and I had the 8 oz sirloin. Cooked to perfection and the taste was spot on. Tender and juicy. Our server Jose was the BOMB!! Great service. He was always there when our glass needed a refill, clearing the dishes as we finished our meal. He was so professional and yet had a personality that would make you feel right at home. This used to be one of my favorite places to eat but not anymore. Went to the restaurant on Beltway 8 near Spencer on Saturday, June 3 to celebrate an anniversary of relatives and it was a disaster. It took an extremely long time for food to come and when we ask our waitress she told us she had just checked in it and they still had a couple of more plates to fix, we thought she meant others orders but not so. They brought out half of our order with no explanation about the rest of it and to add insult it was all cold because they had been fixed and waiting. We ask for the manager and he did not know what was going on and when we finally got the rest most of it was cold but no one seemed to care. Estimated wait time was 15-20 minutes, actual time 10 minutes. The service was excellent. Our server, Angelica, was awesome. The food was delicious and we did not have to wait long for our orders to be ready despite how busy it was. Absolutely recommend the croissants. He refilled our drinks without being asked, offered refills on our chips & salsa, he repeated our order back to us and was over all so attentive and friendly! Waitresses are rude, the food prep is horrendous, and they have no regard for sanitary serving. The steak was not rare at any means it looked like brown leather and the shrimps were awful not thoroughly clean the veins and feet were still on the shrimp. FLIPPIN'GROSS!!!!!! Then on my last chance i decided to call it in and see if perhaps they could salvage my opinion and experience so i kept it easy I ordered a bacon cheese burger with mushrooms hold to the tomatoes. Yup you might have guessed that the results, yes the spoon gets caught in the blender which is turned on and fully working, and instead of doing the simple thing and i dont know TURNING IT OFF she gets the "brilliant light bulb-I know what to do" thought and sticks her hand in to reach for the spoon not once not twice but yes 3 times!!! Then went on to serve me the shake saying dont worry i didnt get any blood in it.... UMMM I dont know that GROSS!!! i paid for my food but left there without a shake and nasty tomatoes on my bacon cheese burger with the side of COLD mushrooms. :( If you want to be aggravated an disappointed time and time again then the Pasadena location is for you but if you want to enjoy a meal at cheddars go to the Baytown location off of Garth rd. or any of the other locations in surrounding areas bc the Pasadena location off of the beltwayd 8 SUCKS!! read more
